The location was amazing. We came for a conference and it was very convenient. The room was basic, there were worn areas, but nothing was dingy, dirty, or in need of repair. When we checked in, there was an exorbitant security hold (30%). We were traveling for a professional conference on our own dime and didn't know about the hold and were illl prepared to pay it. The desk clerk reduced the fee so that we were able to stay.

It's a long list...the price was very high, some of the linens were overly worn, for this price....there should be some sort of complimentary breakfast...at the very least coffee, none of the staff were overly friendly, it definitely felt like it was their job instead of a joy or privilege to serve the customers, the parking was convenient, but it was a public garage attached to the hotel that was expensive and not discounted for hotel patrons.

The location was extremely convenient, and absolutely perfect walking distance to the Shopping District, Chinatown, Reading Terminal Market, bus station, etc. The hotel and room itself were squeaky clean and felt very safe and comfortable, the staff professional and friendly. Even better was the parking garage directly beside the hotel, taking away the immense stress of trying to find parking in Center City. The area itself was busy, sure, but I could not have asked for a better experience with how convenient everything was made.

If the "view" were a big deal, then it would be that. The view outside of our window was just facing the other side of the building, but that truly wasn't an issue for us at all and an unimportant factor when you take into account all the site-seeing you can do right outside of the hotel.

The staff was very nice and welcoming. It was my friend and our 3 girls, we didn't stay in the hotel room a lot because we were out and about most of the time. We stayed two nights, 3 days but didn't opt for housekeeping. We did need a few things (toilet paper, towels, bedding for the pull out sofa, etc) and the staff at the front desk accommodated our requests almost immediately. The restaurant was not full service but we were notified of that at check in so we didn't have many expectations there. Reading Terminal Market and a Dunkin' Donuts are literally right next door/across the street! We felt very safe inside the hotel.

The rooms were super clean and the customer service and front desk staff were amazing! 😍 The walkable location to Gallery Mall, Reading Market and local trolley's and subways made the location fantastic. China Town is right behind the hotel for outstanding Chinese, Japanese or Thai food restaurants. All within walking distance of 1-4 blocks.

The breakfast was horrible. They only served Pork sausage (who the hell does that in Philly!?), The French toast was dry as a rock and on top of that. They charge $20.47 per person for that nastiness. The staff who are responsive get an attitude when you refuse to tip for subpart food. Somebody needs to tell them that tips are NOT mandatory!!! Walk to Reading Marker or go somewhere else for breakfast because their breakfast was nasty. 🤢

Given how affordable our stay was at the Hilton Garden Inn in Center City, Philadelphia, we didn't have high expectations for quality or comfort, yet our experience exceeded our expectations in every way! We arrived a few hours early on a 90+ degree day, and were welcomed to relax in the well-appointed and very well air conditioned lobby along with complimentary wifi. We were notified when our room was available for check-in (delightfully, earlier than the usual check-in time). The room was perfectly climate controlled, clean, quiet (no outside city noise infiltrated the space, with a wonderfully comfortable King-sized bed, lots of storage, large TV, and fully-appointed bathroom. In-room wifi was super-fast, and the view from our particular standard room allowed us glimpses of the top of the William Penn statue atop City Hall, and other famous Philadelphia skyline buildings. It was particularly lovely at night time with the sparkling lights. The location was supreme for us, as it was conveniently located to everywhere we planned to visit by foot (Old City, Rittenhouse Square, restaurants and a music venue along Spring Garden Street, and everything in between). But the highlight for us was being next door to the famous Reading Terminal Market (go to Old City Coffee within - the best!) and smack dab in the best area of Chinatown. We LOVE Asian food and farmers markets, so the rare opportunity to enjoy the combo in this geographic location was awesome. We highly recommend QT Vietnamese Sandwiches which is about 1.5 blocks from the hotel, and their lemongrass tofu banh mi sandwiches and Vietnamese coffee. Penang Malaysian restaurant is also always a treat, plus all the bubble tea shops. The staff at the Hilton Garden Inn were friendly and accommodating, and were able to hold our luggage in a secure location on the day of our check-out, when we still wanted to spend a few more hours in the city. Such a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

There was trouble finding my reservation when I checked in and I was getting a little anxious. Dayshana( I hope I spelled her name right) was very calm and professional. She never panicked, and even asked. others for assistance until she found my reservation. When I went to check out the next morning, she was there and she remembered my name from the day before - I was very impressed. That was one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

I thought breakfast was included when I made the reservation. I only received a voucher for one meal, not two. When we stayed here last year, we received two vouchers.

I've stayed at this hotel once a yr for the last 4yrs, I love it... I had an issue and I went to the guy at the front and he listened to me and took care of it. He had a different name and love curly hair

I wasn't treated nicely over the phone 2 times before my stay this yr when I called and I almost canceled my stay. So just the way SOME employees talk over the phone

Location is very good, it it literally one block away to Chinatown, and reading terminal market is right around the corner, train station is very close as well, it's really close to every place that I wanted to visit. Staff is nice and friendly as well, especially Shuquana. Also, this hotel was renovated, so the room looks much nicer than the photos they're showing on booking.com.

Housekeeping can improve their manners. Checkout time is at 11AM, but housekeeping knocked our door at 10:30AM, only knocked once, and just used the key to enter our room without waiting for us to answer or open the door. That was not very professional.

The room was very quiet and clean.

The parking was exorbitant. It was $37 a day and you could not enter the hotel from the parking lot.

Great location, beds were very comfortable, many places to eat and drink right there, the hotel is on the cusp of Chinatown and transportation hubs really an ideal locatuon.

Several details. Housekeeping had not made up the sofabed, which left us calling the desk for linens and doing it upon arrival. They also left the small, barely noticed alarm clock set for 6a.m., incredibly disruptive when you have 5 people startled out of a dead sleep with no idea where the noise is coming from. Also, why on earth would there need to be 2 telivisions in the room?
