Great location opposite City Hall and walking distance to many of the attractions. Rooms were attractive, comfortable and clean and the shower was hot and powerful.

The ground floor public areas were a little bland and there was a very limited choice of eateries within the hotel, although there are multiple choices with a couple of minutes walk. Lack of the coffee shop being open throughout the daytime was disappointing and the bar area was not particularly comfortable or inviting to do more than grab a quick drink rather than relax for a while.

Public spaces, rooms very nicely appointed. Decor was interesting and the holiday decorations made it very festive. The breakfast bar had great choices and the wait staff were very pleasant. The location was central to much of what we wanted to see and we could walk within 15 minutes to major museums and to our choice of restaurants. Great to be really able to control the temperature in the room. Maybe it was my Bonvoy status, but a nice touch to have the robes and slippers provided.

Not enough towel racks in the bathroom. The toilet seat was crooked, a little unsafe for trips in the middle of the night The foam beds are way too hot to provide a good night's sleep. We had to sleep on top of the coverlet so as not to melt.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, right in the central square, right at the tip of a walk up to the museums, a few minutes from Chinatown, etc. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the east west subway line that runs east to the historic district, and west to the train station. We never needed a car. The staff are excellent. We changed our dates through booking.com, and the booking.com agent made an error. We did not notice until it was too late to cancel without a fee. The hotel waived the fee with no questions, and helped us correct the dates.

location was on the 3rd floor, room 316. Overlooking the parking lot, but very quiet. Location is PRIME! Near everything! The staff is amazing and I love that the last 2 times I've stayed, I arrived early, and I was always able to get an early check-in! This is HUGE!!! Front desk staff is AWESOME as is the valet!

coffee bar should be open for longer hours. I went to get a coffee on Saturday at 12noon and it was closed. I have to leave the hotel to go to the Starbucks.

The hotel has an excellent location. The rooms are spacious and very quiet with an excellent bathroom. The lobby is also very nice and quiet. You are close to the Wanamaker and the main buildings of the city. Public transport within easy reach. Good WiFi. Nice bar with a wide selection of drinks and very friendly staff.

The furniture and furnishings of the room show some wear and tear. The breakfast room is small and the menu is rather limited. The Valet parking is expensive, but not unusual for the Metropolitan area.

This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location in Center City. The historic building is lovely and retains essential architectural elements even though the interiors have been remodeled with modern style to provide deluxe accommodations. Perfectly situated close to Reading Market, Chinatown, City Hall, the convention center, and so many great restaurants and bars. The bed was cozy, everything was nice and clean, and the room and bathroom were extremely spacious and comfortable with all the amenities you'd hope for. The coffee shop on the ground floor was very good and convenient. Staff was very nice and helpful at the front desk and out front to help with bags and taxi service.

The elevators were infuriatingly slow and one-third of them were completely out of order during our 4-night stay. It was typically 10 minutes or more between calling the elevator and it arriving. The handheld shower nozzle in our bathroom wasn't screwed on completely so when I turned it on the entire shower head popped off and the hose shot a huge stream of water straight into the ceiling of the shower and all over the bathroom floor.

The hotel provided slippers and robes when I asked. The gym was a decent size. Bed was very comfortable. I stayed with my 2 grown kids and husband and the room was a good size. Conveniently located to old town. Definitely walkable. We walked to the Philadelphia Art Museum and back. Trader Joe’s was down the block. The hotel provided bottled water which was very nice

Great location - 15 minutes walk to Independence Hall. 2 minutes to Food Market - fantastic . The style of the hotel is very nice. The view from our room was like picture.

Wi-Fi didn't work, decided to purchase better service but didn't work as well. Spent 30 minutes on phone with someone who should fix the problem. Didn't fix it and never called me back. Finally I wasn't charged but this thing was disappointing.

The hotel is well sited at the heart of Philadelphia close to Reading Terminal Market and easy reach of the main sites of the city. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.

Very slow service at breakfast and in the bar. The rooms were very expensive, which we discovered when we reached Philadelphia was the consequence of a 15,000 delegate strong conference in the city centre.

We stayed twice with a gap in between to visit friends. Check in was very easy and staff friendly. Rooms were large and beds very comfortable but as side rooms there was no view. Checking out and help with getting taxis was also good. Being at City Hall the hotel could not be more central.

The dining menu is small and restrictive, didn't really appeal to us. We had breakfast one morning and didn't rate it on value for money. Local diners provided more substantial breakfasts cheaper.
