The hotel is next to the Historic District of Philadelphia, perfect to reach by subway (5 minutes away), bus or car. You can walk from here to the Rocky statue and enjoy the city in a nice walk. The rooms are big and the beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are quite good and clean. The overall experience has been good. Great restaurants nearby with a lot of choices, way better than the new/financial city centre. The historical area is really nice. There is a restaurant but we didn't try it nor breakfast.

Overall nothing. In Philadelphia there can be quite a few homeless people during the day or the night, but not too close to the hotel. We had no issue with safety concerns.

Having read some previous reviews, we were pleasantly surprised at our experience at the hotel. Erika on the front desk was very welcoming, allocated a quiet room as requested with a great view. Our room was excellent with plenty of space, with a good sized refrigerator.

Bar was only open on Sunday morning, not in the afternoon. We had breakfast out except the last day. Breakfast at the hotel was not a good experience. The member of staff was unfriendly, the fruit parfait was very small in comparison with the neighbourhood cafe, and the yogurt was very sweet. There are better cafes around for breakfast. But the overall experience at the hotel was good.

I really loved that the hotel was downtown and close to major sights and landmarks. The hotel room was clean and spacious. I got the room I requested - a quiet room. Thank you

If I may have a suggestion to the hotel, please check the alarm systems thoroughly to avoid unexpected shortages that trigger alarm in the middle of the night. ;) Believe or not, this is not why I did not rate this property 10/10, but 9/10. The receptionist was not nice when I checked in. Please do NOT get me wrong, She was NOT rude and she was NOT impolite! I am saying as someone with hospitality background as well - a little smile and kindness goes a long way especially at the reception desk. The receptionist at the check-out was really nice. Thank you

Had a very good experience in this hotel. The hotel is located in a really good location (about 7 minutes from indipendence hall) the staff is really nice always tries to help with every thing you need. I was very suprised and happy with how big the room was, the bed was also very big and very comftable, the room had a comftable working desk and multiple chairs, shower was comftable.

If you order room service you have to come down and get it , the food is not deliverd to your room. I orderd room service one time (order the hamburger) it was not bad but I think it could be better Like I said the staff was very nice and do the best they can to help with every issue, but from what I expirienced I think that the staff at the front desk is a littel under staffed because every time I went through the lobby you would see a long line of people waiting to check in\check out or get assistance with something. This was not a big deal and will not prevent me from coming again and reccomending the hotel, but I think improving this will make the hotel even greater then it is.

See below (that the desk worker credited my card for the $85 exiting charge to leave the garage).

When we weren't reminded (after, or while, talking with the staff at the desk about our immediately following day plans) that our garage ticket would need "validating", the concierge at the desk "credited" our 3rd days parking fee and a previous one (to offset the $85 dollar charge we had to put on my credit card) to exit the garage only mins after speaking with them at the desk. If just would've been "nice" to have been reminded about the validating garage ticket process (a good bit of stress could've been prevented is all).

Arguably one of the best stays ever. The staff was excellent. And super friendly. Very informative as well. It’s located right in the heart of everything! I was able to walk everywhere. Or ride the train. Don’t rent a car if you’re here to explore! But if you do need parking it’s right next to the hotel. Literally. I think they’re connected. My 7th floor room view was nice! But I believe if you happen to get a room on the opposite side you’ll be looking at the parking garage or little to nothing. Don’t quote me though. I had a great time! And it started with the fact that the hotel made me feel like I was at home. Will definitely stay again. Because I’ll definitely be back!

Room was clean. Saw a couple hiccups but you could tell it was from wear and tear. Nothing out of the ordinary.

We initially had a problem with leftover food in the frig, smelled bad. Front desk immediately came and took care of it. Then our heat/ac did not work. Again, front desk immediately came and called maintenance. Unfortunately, unit was not able to be fixed, so we had to move to another room. Fron desk, esp, Chris was very apologetic and got us in another room. Everyone at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. They also had great recommendations for where to go and restaurants. The bed was super comfortable, great sleep. The location was great!

When we arrived at 4PM, the suite had yet to be cleaned so we had to wait about 1hr but the manager and staff were very sympathetic and kept us informed of progress. We had a free drink in the bar and a breakfast on the house for having to wait. I'm not sure other hotels would have been so understanding and generous.

Nothing really. Would have been nice to have the room available when we arrived but the generous compensation of a drink at the bar and breakfast more than covered this.

The hotel itself, our room was very nice, bed was comfortable and clean, the location was great for where we were planning on going for the time we were there, and the staff was very friendly. We also had our car with us so even places we wanted to go to on the western side were easy to get to. We'd definitely stay here again.

Honestly, my only complaint, (and I should have said something to the restaurant server, I don't know why I didn't) but the "creme brulee French toast" that I ordered came out like regular basic french toast with none of the icing or caramel or fruit that they had listed on the menu. Again, I should have said something about it to our server (who was super nice) and it was delicious, but it should have been something the kitchen got right the first time. Other than that, our stay was great.
