The room was very large, well equipped, quiet, and comfortable. Staff was very responsive. Excellent location.

Access to the hotel is a bit complicated. There is no parking area for registration and baggage retrieval. Hotel occupies 5th and 6th floor of the building and acces to the elevator requires room key. Parking in the area is somewhat expensive. We were asked for an unexpected 50USD security deposit (refundable 3 to 5 days after check-out), even though the room had been paid in advance and the hotel had our credit card information. We were told that normally this deposit is require for each night. However the receptionist relented when their system failed to process our credit card! Breakfast is not really worth the cost.

The location of the hotel is very good. Especially, the square market was close, so it was very convenient. There were many pubs nearby and the atmosphere was very good. However, it is inconvenient that the hotel parking lot is paid and far away. I booked and paid for breakfast in advance, but I had to pay for the children's breakfast on the spot. I also felt that it was expensive to pay for the dog additionally. But the room was large and the bathroom was very clean, and the yoga mats and gym balls in the room were useful. I think there were as many branches as the expensive room rate.

The location was great. I was there for a concert at PPG Paints. It was wonderful to just be able to be right around the corner. The hotel was clean and the room was very spacious.

The travel was confusing. There is heavy construction happening in the downtown area so my GPS was not routing me correctly. I feel as though the hotel should have made me aware of that with easy to follow directions so I could have avoided that. With what was suppose to be a 10 minute drive ended up taking me 45 minutes to find.

Location was key, within walking distance of our daughter at college. Wonderful, clean room for a great price. Staff at check-in and check-out were kind and very pleasant.

We couldn’t locate an outlet in the bathroom. We found that strange. Also, the coffee maker in our room did not work, but at checkout, the gentleman I spoke with took note and said that would be remedied. Lastly, we arrived late to check in and had to wait for someone to leave the building in order to enter.

Hello, good afternoon. José Dutari writes to him and I stayed at the Even Hotel from December 9 to 12, 2022. My complaint is regarding the payment. On October 9, I made a payment of $953.72 by credit card through booking.com and again on December 12 at the hotel a second payment is applied for 653.36. During the stay at the hotel I asked in the lobby about this second charge and they told me that it was going to be refunded to my credit card, however to date this refund has not been made. Thank you very much for your prompt response to the solution of this problem.

I liked the bar area, staff was very polite, and the room was very clean. The hotel felt very secure as well due to multiple security measures and locational advantage of not being on a super busy street but also being close walking distance to market square and other areas of downtown.

My only discrepancy is that we paid extra for breakfast included in the stay and we asked two staff about this and couldn’t get an answer so we ended up wasting our vouchers. Would not purchase breakfast again through hotel.

We did not partake in onsite breakfast but did go to the Bagel spot up the road across from parking garage. It was excellent and definitely recommend and staff were amazing.

We walked down to the market for dinner and upon arriving back we were locked out street level and tried calling reception / 0 on keypad to the side and was over 5 minute wait before the door became unlocked and zero interaction via speaker or front desk staff. The room was very nice the lack of attentions to detail/cleanliness/maintenance regarding the soap scum and mold starting on the caulking inside the shower and the sliding shower door track was upsetting and feel it took away from the rest of our experience during our stay here in Pittsburgh

I liked the open layout of the common area -- much better than the usual boring maze-like architecture. The location is great, quite central -- walkable to many areas of interest in the city. There is a coffee machine and a small fridge in the unit. The room was larger than usual, by my standards. The bathroom was modern and updated. The exercise equipment in the rooms is a fresh touch -- I even used it, out of curiosity. There is also a stand-alone gym. I like the fact that maid service is by request only (I don't understand who ever needs daily cleaning in their rooms).

The mattresses are way too soft for comfort, like in most US hotels. If it has never bothered you before in other hotels, you probably won't notice, but I had a hard time sleeping on a "cloud". I have to keep putting this in my reviews, otherwise this will never change.

Exercise equipment and videos in room was innovative. I did not realize the hotel was located in the former Kaufmann Department Store building. Then while visiting Fallingwater, the iconic architectural masterpiece by Frank Lloyd Wright, I found out that it had been commissioned for the Kaufmann family.

A little lost in the building vestibule. I didn't know to take the elevator up to the lobby.

The quality of the breakfast was good but it wasn't explained that breakfast was ordered off a limited menu. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The healthy living theme of the hotel was a nice change. If I was there for a longer stay, I may have taken advantage of more of the amenities.

When I booked, it said breakfast was included, but it didn't say it was only for the adults in our party. They were short staffed. There was only 1 person taking breakfast orders, cooking the food and serving food. And there were a number of people who were there for breakfast.
