Location to sight seeing attractions. Valets were super nice.

There was fire alarm during the stay that was a false alarm. The hotel staff didn't announce over the speaker an all clear. The word was passed by other people staying in the building.

Location is ideal, right in the heart of downtown Charleston and easy walking to stores and restaurants. The room was clean and nice, and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good too, but has a relatively minimal selection. Also, we’d recommend the MESU restaurant at the hotel, their food was really good.

The cost for parking is high, though the parking garage is located at the hotel. It’s $2 per hour, but if you don’t leave the garage after 24 hours, it’s an $18 flat rate. So if you decide to take public transportation then you’ll save money there, but if you continue to drive out and then return, the cost for parking is nuts. Another comment is the television was old so there was no option to watch Netflix, Max, Amazon, etc. I thought that was weird. Lastly, the prices for dinners and drinks was a bit pricey, so consider taking advantage of Happy Hours when you can. We ate at MESU at the hotel and Mario’s Italian ristorante on King Street, both had excellent food!

location excellent..lots to walk to and shopping nearby. Breakfast was okay, not the best complimentary breakfast ive had at a hotel.Could have had more variety..like instead of just sausage as a meat choice..perhaps one more like bacon or ham in addition. Was excited when i saw the coffee however it was very weak.Wanted to make toast but the toasted provided is awkward to use and took a long time because individuals would stand in the way. If there had been bar food actually served at the bar in the lobby I would have eaten there for sure. And if it was open more hours while i was there. Staff was great room was comfortable.

Breakfast..yes even though it was free...I elected to eat elsewhere. I did wish the hotel bar was open more hours (especially when the rooftop bar was closed) and wished it had a bar menu with at least a limited menu. Also if i was staying longer i would have tried to get a different room because my room had a view of only the walls of other rooms RM#324.

We were so pleased with our stay here. The location was terrific; we walked King Street many times, to restaurants, shops and attractions and also used the free shuttles that take you all around. Room was spacious, attractive and clean, bed comfortable, shower strong. Breakfast was good--several hot items (eggs, meat, biscuits and gravy, waffles) and assorted breads, cereals, yogurt, fruit, juices. Mini-fridge in the room. Staff was friendly and available. Would def. stay again and recommend.

Staff was extremely nice and our room was great. Hotel honored our special request of a top floor and a room away from the elevator.

After a long day of sightseeing we came back to our room at 3:30 p.m. only to find our room had yet to be cleaned. We asked the cleaning person if it would be ready within an hour and he said yes. After sitting outside for over an hour the room was still not ready when we went to check. Also when we went to shower in the evening there was no hot water.

The room was pretty big The hotel was located in a good location just a little north of the downtown scenic area. But it's on a street with lots of restaurants and stores. Breakfast was standard. Check in was not the best as employee gave me wrong room that did not exist. Overall a good stay. Gym was ok and it has a big pool.

Hallways could be updated, Felt like a college dorm room hallway with brown ugly steel doors.

Perfect location, walkable to everywhere. Paid parking deck right on the property.

The woman covering the front desk on evenings on 1/11, 1/12, and 1/13 was rude each interaction we had (check-in and this evening). I spilled water on our comforter tonight and my husband asked her for an exchange. She was very resistant to this and we still don’t have one hours later. We have asked twice. Bad attitude.

The Hyatt is centrally located in the Historic District and within walking distance to great restaurants, bars and the Music Hall which was our destination. Valet parking was easy and our car was available when time to leave. Breakfast served a wide variety and all staff were helpful and courteous. Room was quiet and bed was very comfortable.

Could have had more towels and amenities in the room. There was no bottled water.

The property is very clean and although it is a 15 minute walk to the market, there is a free bus that will pick you up on King and take you right there. The staff is fantastic including Naquan, Mallory, Xavier, and one of the other valets from Jamaica. his name is Jahwan or something like that. the Breakfast is really good.

The beds are hard but not intolerable and Sometimes the valet can take a while and some people were complaining about it. But you can scan your valet ticket while you are packing and have your car there when you come down to leave.
