San Luis is a very nice resort to relax.

Desiree, the pool waitress, brought us our drinks, and instead of her saying, "Would you like to close your tab or leave it open?" She said, "I am keeping your card." My family and I thought that was so unprofessional. The water temperature for the pool was hot. It's was like a hot tub. We told the front desk, and we were told it had been like that for two weeks. Also, another guest had complained before us.

Customer service was great and the Christmas trees and Holiday decorations on the lobby level were fantastic! Great place to visit over the holidays! We loved the restaurants on the property and the resort style pool was awesome. The entire pool was heated (which we were not expecting) and they had a swim-up pool bar that was open until 1am Mon-Thurs, and 2am on the weekends. They also have a hot tub and fire pit and good music playing around the pool area. We had a balcony facing the beach on the seawall and pool which was awesome. Our room was quiet and even though the pool was below us, we could not hear the music from the pool which is just how you want it to be. Overall, the The San Luis Resort Hotel was in a great location and the restaurants in the resort and around the resort were also great. Great views of the city and beach from our room on the 14th floor. We look forward to going back!

No dislikes.

I was disappointed about the bathroom. I expected as a Club 10 guest, would have more amenities.

Location and clean room.

They asked me is I was self parking but didn't give me a pass for my car, I could have been towed. I also do not like the wrist bands for the pool. It makes it feel like prison and if you loose it they will not give you another one. Also when you wear it in public you are open to EVERYONE knowing where your staying and could make you be in danger of getting mugged or your car broke into. This is not acceptable for a high paying hotel to treat you like a child because they can not handle people from the street walking in.

The food was great and the views. Love the Bar they had very intimate with piano and singer at night. Everyone was nice and very apologetic of the construction going on. Hands down best view in Galveston beach.

Just would have like to see the entrance it was under construction heard it’s going to be wonderful. Also internet service was pretty slow. But made us stay off our phones. Love this place so this is not a deterrent for coming again.

I loved the view people where so nice. Room clean bed comfy

So we paid for valet parking. First time we left they lost or key. Finally found it had not tag in it. We left to go back home they lost or key again took 30 min to find it. Went to the car and looked they left my car unlocked. Still couldn’t find the key finally 30 min later found it I have no idea where that was frustrating. But the hotel part was fabulous thank you.

Staff, amenities, how quickly everyone was willing to help. Especial shoutout for customer service to the manager from Blake's Bistro! Can't remember her name but she was the absolute best and even brought my husband's jacket to our room when he forgot it.

The room was not completely clean and well maintained with peeling ceiling paint and mold growing on the caulking around the tub.

It was friendly

When it was time to check out only one elevator was working the others was down. It had been raining badly and we saw some cars in the parking garage under water. And they had mop buckets in the lobby catching rain water. I went to take a shower and the shower head was spraying out water it needed tightened up. I tryed the best as I could. So I can take me a shower.

Bathroom! the shower head had no pressure; the flow of water was poor. There were some rust stains on the tub and around the glass divider. I mean, you don’t expect such things from a 4-Star rated hotel, especially if you’re booking a VIP King Suite and spending almost $800 a night just on the room. Just like I mentioned the last time, the Elevators are old and shakes a lot.
