This is by far my favorite hostel I have stayed at in my travels so far. The family who runs it is so friendly and sweet. They truly make it feel like a home. My room was so comfortable and really clean. The banana pancakes were the perfect start to every morning. And the fact you could use their bicycles made exploring Hoi An memorable and fun. I can't wait to come back and stay with them again.

The hostel isn't located near the old town, but honestly, that was more of a plus for me as it was a nice and quiet area as opposed to the busy and loud old town. Just thought I should mention it, though, so people know.

Please give the Lazy Bear your business when you come to Hoi An! It is run by a lovely local family who were so sweet and had fantastic customer service. The facilities are great, and they offer free bike rentals! I think biking around is the best way to explore the Hoi An area, so it's a huge perk. There is also breakfast but I slept in too late to try it... The hosts offered recommendations for things to do and see in Hoi An, a map, and credible tailoring and tour services (although I did not have enough time to take advantage of either of those things). I stayed in the dorm, and the facilities were all comfortable. I love the adorable decor in the Lazy Bear as well! I would love to come back again the next time I visit Hoi An! It's such a shame I could only stay one night. Great value and great experience outright

The bike I borrowed was functional but a little worse-for-wear It was free though so I really can't complain! Also, the Lazy Bear is ~15 minutes away by bike from the central Hoi An area. Very reasonable in my opinion and the location is great since it's quiet and secluded. It's also closer to the beach activities and rice paddies than accommodations in town.

We absolutely loved our stay at Lazy Bear. The room was gorgeous, so clean and spacious and the family who own it are just so lovely and welcoming. From the minute we stepped through the door we felt so at home and relaxed and they were so helpful in booking various tours for us and explaining where everything was. We also took the free bikes to the beach a couple of times which was great fun. We ended up extending and staying for 8 nights as we loved the hostel and Hoi An so much! Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Super cool rooms, very comfortable and clean, and loved the bear theme everywhere! There is even a swimming pool, perfect for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring Hoi An in the summer heat, or just to take it easy on one day. The family owning the place is super nice, very helpful in helping out booking buses or tours. They booked a night bus to Dalat for us, including pick up at the hostel, and kept our luggages and allowed us to take a shower in the afternoon after we checked out so that we could board the bus clean. Keep in mind that the hostel is located ~3 km away from the old town, which is a plus if you want quiet and peace. Free bicycles are available to reach the old town in 15 minutes.

Nothing, it was perfect!

Hosts are very accommodating and very helpful, enthusiastic about their guests. They wanna help you enjoying your time in Hoi An. They offer free bikes, motorbike renting, laundry service and they help you booking your bus/train ticket to the next location in Vietnam. Very quiet location, 10 mins bike ride to the ancient city. Big room with private bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. With working ac and also a fan. You have everything you could need. Also the pool is nice and clean. Plenty choices for breakfast, very tasty and nice food. The place is owned by this lovely Vietnamese family. We definitely recommend this place if you are coming to Hoi An.

Had the most wonderful stay with Binh, Lin and their family. Their hospitality and kindness is unmatched, it’s been the best place I’ve stayed in throughout my travels in Vietnam. The hostel in so cute, clean, the beds are comfy and the location is nicely located outside of the old city which is a short bike ride (highlight of the day riding into the old town and seeing more of Hoi An outside the tourist spots). They gave the best recommendations and organised transportation and tours. Cannot thank them enough for making Hoi An so memorable and for the wonderful conversations shared!

Everything was perfect

This was the nicest hostel we booked in Vietnam. The bedroom was lovely. Really clean and comfortable with a nice sized bathroom, good air con and a really comfy bed. Our room had a balcony with 2 chairs and a table which was a plus. Breakfast was lovely each morning too. Bing and her husband and family are lovely people and really made our stay. They were knowledgeable about the area and gave us good restaurant and tailor recommendations. The area is a little outside the main town but can be easily accessed by bike or by taxi which is very affordable. The hostel also provides bikes free of charge to rent. There are a nice few beaches a short cycle away also. If we ever come back to Hoi An I would definitely stay here again! We definitely had a relaxing and fun time at the Lazy Bear.

Binh and her family were absolutely lovely. They made us feel so welcome. We immediately felt relaxed. The nicest place we’ve stayed in in Vietnam by far. The rooms were immaculately clean, it was so homely and had such a great vibe. The bed was so comfy and the wide range of breakfast choices was amazing. The breakfast was so good we even ate it for lunch one day aswell. We all had upset stomachs so they went above and beyond to make us ginger tea and show us the nearest pharmacy. They were so helpful I cannot reccomend this place enough. Would 100% return. Thank you so much Lazy bear :)

Highly recommend this hostel to those looking for a place to relax in Hoi An. The dorm is great with 2 ACs, fans, and a balcony, bathroom is excellent and clean. The family running the place are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful! They also have really good banana pancakes for breakfast! 5 min drive/40 min walk to old town or beach, or you can use bikes here for free too.
