I was simply blown away by the kindness of Thao and her mother and father. It was my first trip to Vietnam and from the moment I stepped off the plane Thao organised whatever I needed from day trips to shuttles to and from the airport, great restaurants and takeout options and even booked my appointment for my first ever tattoo. I booked a double en-suite bedroom and was given an upstairs room with a large balcony overlooking their beautiful garden and pool. Bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was always hot. I had breakfast 3 times during my 9 nights as I also wanted to try the local street food but Thao’s mothers breakfast was delicious. It was my birthday while I was there so they also invited me to join them for some delicious home cooked local cuisine for lunch. I used their free bikes every day to go either to the beach, the old town or cycle thru the wonderful rice fields. Red House Homestay is perfectly located about a 30 minute walk to the old town and a 30 minute cycle to the beach but there are plenty of less touristy local shops and restaurants and coffee shops around. Thao just opened her own Cafe at Red House called Cafe Ann after her daughter and she makes delicious coffees. I was so sad to leave but I really do hope to visit again soon

Perfect stay for me! I stayed in a lot of busy hostels before and wanted a place that was a little bit more quiet. And everything was amazing from the moment I arrived. I got there quite early in the morning but they still gave me an available bed to rest in, gave me juice and let me use the bicycle until my check-in. They have really comfortable beds, a super clean pool and they rent out scooters for a fair price (highly recommend exploring the area around hoi an with a scooter if you can, even Da Nang is easy to reach in half an hour). The location is a bit on the outside of town, but with the free bicycles you can get to old town and the beach in 10 minutes. The staff was also so so lovely and helpful - I would always come here again!

The host and her family were very nice! I arrived at 4 am in the morning. She let me in and I was even allowed to use one of the beds to go to sleep! I didn't have to pay for the additional night. She had many good recommendations for food and stuff to do! There is also a pool, which was nice too! The scooters had a fair price and were in a good condition. Further it was possible to use the bicycles for free! It's not in the center of Hoi An. It's a 20 minute walk outside. I liked it since you have a quiet place to sleep. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The family was so lovely even though they did not speak english a lot. Thao (the owner) spoke english really well and she helped me with everything! When I arrived at 7 am my bed was not ready (as expexted, the check in time was at 13), but I had a very warm welcome with free water and coffee and the opportunity to shower and rest. She really took care of everybody in the homestay. I also got really useful tips for restaurants, activities, etc. The atmosphere was chill, not too busy. All the other guests were also very friendly and open, I think I spoke to everybody. Maybe you can organise a dinner in the future? That could be really nice. The location was somewhat from the center, but there were bikes we could use for free. And there were enough restaurants/shops close by. I really had a lovely time here.

The beds in the dorm were a little hard. But they were broad and had enough privacy!!

Wonderful quiet, relaxed and friendly homestay, fantastic rooms which are huge for the price! And lovely bathroom and shower. Pool was barely used during my stay which meant I basically had it to myself! The family are very friendly and helpful but aren't at all overbearing, and free water and bicycles are a great bonus. It's further out of town but for all the best reasons, and the cycle into town takes 8 minutes and is a beautiful ride alongside the river. Even got to check in early after a long night bus. Didnt want to leave! Can't recommend enough.

Nothing! Everything was perfect.

I did not expect much because the price is really cheap, but it's beyond my expectation. We only want an accomodation to stay for 2 nights, but it is absolutely wondeful from the dorm room to the scenery. The staff is very friendly, she gave us all the stuff like plates, tissues, water,... for free, even when we made so much noise at night. The dog is cute too. 5/5

Maybe clean the dorm better, we found some items of previous customers like hair claws and plastic bags. They are not dirty, but they scare us a little bit...

The host is such a lovely and helpful lady. On arrival she gave me a map and written advice about nearby services in Hoi An. They provide free drinking water and a bicycle to use to ride around the city. Although, I tended to use grab. It's close to a really nice restaurant and shops if you want to buy snacks. It's not too far from the ancient town. The dormitory is clean and comfortable, the shower is hot and they'll let you continue to use the bed for free whilst waiting for a bus, as long as no-one else is checking in. The host was so sweet, she waited with me for night bus as it picked me up later than agreed and bought me some bread for the journey. I really couldn't ask for more from this hostel.

I loved my stay here! I had intended to stay for 2 nights and just had to extend. The accommodation and gardens are gorgeous, the beds are comfortable and the amenities are great. The pictures don't do it justice. Free bicycles are available, which makes the location (in between the old town and the beach) perfect. Above all, the family that runs the homestay is fantastic. They do their best to make you feel at home. They also let me check in early after a particularly tiring night bus, which I really appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Booked for 3 nights and ended up staying a whole week. Thao and her family are great hosts, who were always helpful and had great recommendations. We stayed in two different rooms since we extended our stay and both were very comfortable. The property is a wonderful little oasis, with its lush garden and a clean pool. It’s located outside of the main town, which was easily accessible by bike or scooter, as is the beach, and felt less hectic than being closer to the centre.

The hosts are lovely and make us feel at home. This is our 2nd time here having previously visited 10 years ago, so we were very much looking forward to seeing the hosts and what they've done with the place since. They helped with any questions we had and went out of their way to lend a hand. The swimming pool is a great addition. Great to see you all again, and introduce you to our child (even if she was overly shy this week!)
