Thanks to Nih, it feels like a "home away from home". She is incredibly helpful, friendly, reliable and warm. I love the energy that her mother and she give to this place. The homestay is like an inner courtyard with individual sweet rooms. Nih's kitchen is the centerpiece of the whole property. I would come back here again and again and hope to see them again somewhere/someday. =bed super comfortable =hot water =regular checking/cleaning of the rooms =individual breakfast options =scooter/bicycle rental =easy to find and everything you need within reach =top location because right between rice fields and old town.

65yr old female solo traveler, 6 night stay, arrived on 16th March 2025 I had such an unforgettable & delightful stay. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Charming Homestay in Hoi An and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Nhi & her 85 yr old mother Thu who lives with Nhi, they made sure I felt at home throughout my stay. The homestay is just a short distance from the bustling old town, easy to navigate by catching a grab taxi, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing, shopping & exploring the local area. The room was spotless and the king size bed to myself was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night after a day of exploring Hoi An’s lovely streets and beaches, everything was provided & I had a nice quite little courtyard to sit in & enjoy my cups of tea in the mornings & my room had aircon for when & if needed. Some of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast each morning, I was treated with a choice of delicious Vietnamese coffee, food, fruit & different homemade cold herb teas from breakfast menu that Nhi would make for me, everything was made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Nhi was also incredibly helpful in providing recommendations for nearby attractions ie the Bamboo Circus which is a must see jaw dropping with amazing circus skills, flying around stage using bamboo as props, music & a great storyline. Nhi also helped me with the coconut boat trip she called the boat operator who met me when I arrived & I had the best boat ride, also caught the stunning sunset. Nhi helped with arranging tours for me, I was picked up & dropped off at homestay, I thoroughly enjoyed especially being small group tours was perfect. What really stood out to me, however, was the hospitality, Nhi went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable.

- The owner, Nhi, truly is a gem. She helped us plan our stay in Hoi An and even helped us after for the rest of our trip across Vietnam (e.i. Shows recommendations and tour discounts) - The room was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. - Calm because out of center (20min by foot) - Good laundry service - The homemade breakfast provided is really good and she made us taste different tasty food everyday. - She can accommodate celiac for the breakfast! Felt really safe as she already knew about it (no wheat flour, no soy sauce, no knorr, no maggi,... and careful about crosscontaminations)

My wife and I spent 3 lovely days at Nihi’s homestay . A really interesting and nice experience . Nihi is very kind, nice and welcoming person. She gave us usefull information for out stay in Hoi An ( food , places to see ) . We did together a cooking class … it was amazing sharing this experience , we felt like at home. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable . The mattress of high quality . The breakfast is à là carte and very delicious . I really recommend this place !!

Staying here has felt like home. Nhi made me feel so comfortable and safe and a solo female traveller. She is a wonderful cook helped me plan the next couple of weeks of my trip. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Only a short walk or bike ride into the busy part of Hoi An. Peaceful at night time. Beautiful fresh flowers and plants surrounding the homestay. A really lovely vibe. I highly recommend Charming Homestay.

It’s was a gorgeous place to stay, you walk through a lovely colourful garden to reach the rooms. They’re set back from the road so very quiet and eating breakfast around the dining table was very welcoming. I am celiac (gluten free) and Nhi catered for me without any trouble, each breakfast was delicious

Lovely family owned homestay with a nice vibe overall. Located just right between the busy center and the relaxing rice paddies and the beach. Bicycles at hand to explore the surroundings to the fullest. Loads of local recommendations and sweet executed cooking class. All in all very cosy, we loved it.

Charming homestay is a very beautiful and peaceful place, well located and quiet (5 mins by bike to the old town, the bikes are available at the property). Nhi and her mother will help you to enjoy the most your stay in Hoi An, suggesting restaurants, activities and proving cooking classes, that I highly recommend. Book here and you won’t regret it!

Nhi is a very friendly and welcoming host. I really felt that this was a real homestay and felt part of a family for my short stay. The rooms are beautiful and well designed. Loved breakfast with other people at one table. Good location, lots of recommendations about where to go to eat etc.

Charming Homestay is a lovely place to stay for a few nights. The kind owner, Nhi, and her mom look after the place, and Nhi is available to answer questions or provide what you need (WhatsApp is a good tool in Vietnam). Our room in the back was quiet, and see a good size with a very comfortable bed. Bathroom was also spacious and good hot water pressure. The location is on a busy road and outside the very touristy downtown and on the way to the beach area. It is about a 25 minute walk into town, or a 10 min bike ride. We had a lovely day biking through the peaceful vegetable garden village area and then to An Bang Beach (though don't expect to do any swimming in cool and rainy December). Although outside of the touristy area, there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. We particularly liked Bon (address: 474 Cửa Đai) and the Circle Cafe (sweet staff although the night we were there happened to be full of chain smoking tourists). Coffee in Magnolia Cafe was great, and Nourish Eatery if you crave a vegetarian western breakfast or lunch. Nhi recommended a nearby spot for a massage, Lavender Spa, and they did a great job. Although our room rate didn't include breakfast, Nhi kindly prepared us banana pancakes our last morning when we had to travel to Danang to catch our flight to Can Tho. She also arranged for a driver for pick up at the train station and drop off at the airport at competitive rate, and very convenient. All in all, a comfortable place to stay in Hoi An.
