We really enjoyed our stay, especially the excellent service. Nothing felt like too much effort, and the staff were attentive and accommodating. The chef went out of their way to offer gluten-free toast and sausages for my husband, which was a really thoughtful touch. Breakfast was spot on, and the room was comfortable, making it great value for the price.

The only downside was that the room felt a little cold, and although there was air con, it didn’t seem to be working. We only realised too late that the portable radiator in the room was there to help. The bathroom floor was also freezing, but luckily, I had brought slippers. Despite this, we had a great stay and would definitely return!

Pleasant stay. Easy access for pickup and drop off with the taxis. The room was comfortable. The walk to the fitness/pool building was surprising, I suppose was ok as can be considered as a short walk for fresh air in all seasons.

The toilet paper looked cheap, it felt thin and cheap for a hotel like the Holiday Inn. There were not enough coffee sticks for coffees in the morning as we were 2 in the room and staying for 2 nights (yes, I could have for more). Thank goodness I brought my own coffee. The breakfast bill was paid twice as i paid on Thursday morning when checking-out as my daughter had paid the day we arrived. Needs to be looked into so this situation doesn't happen to others.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, it was better than expected. We had a larger than average room, the beds were clean and comfortable, the staff we met were polite and friendly.

My only complaint would be that the room was cold. The windows are old so don’t keep the cold out and the heating isn’t up to much. The room did have an oil filled radiator already provided so that helped but the room was not ‘cosy’. I would still definitely stay again, maybe just bring a hot water bottle if it’s winter!

Great choices for breakfast, Had a meal in the restaurant and had the best calamari I have ever had, all the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. I asked for garlic in my Cabonara, they said it would be no problem, it was delicious, and it was not swimming in sauce. I prefer my pasta just coated not looking like it is in a soup.

If you have the time before you have to leave to go on your journey, don't go for breakfast as soon as the restaurant opens, unless you are having a continental one, I think the cooked breakfast might be hotter as the items are repenished

We had a large comfortable room, lots of choices of pillows. Bathroom toiletries were good quality. We enjoyed using the swimming pool before we headed home. Good location for an overnight stop on a long journey. Pleasant breakfast with good choices of cereal/porridge and fruit. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Only a few minor points- We couldn’t use the swimming pool when we arrived as it was a bank holiday. This wasn’t communicated when we booked. Breakfast pastries were a bit stale. When we used air conditioning there was a slight smoky smell.

Staff very helpful (e.g. Carol) with storage of insulin pens (e.g.) and attention to shower taps. Wide open spaces of public areas made moving around with a wheelchair very easy.

The desserts in the restaurant were disappointing and overpriced. (E.g. the cheesecake was bland and the base lacked any "bite" or texture and the "Eton Mess" was just that! The presence of meringue or fruit was scarcely detectable and the whole thing was awash with artificial cream and far too sweet.

Good selection at breakfast, especially porridge. All freshly made. Lovely dining room. Beautifully decorated. Room spacious and comfortable.

Had a bar meal in the evening to share. Great pizza. Fabulous chips. Would have preferred a simple green salad as an extra but spinach and rocket a good alternative. Perhaps keep the grated cheese separate as it dominated the taste, backhanded compliment as it was a generous topping.

The Chef Steve and restaurant staff members were all brilliant especially Angela. Steve and Angela really assisted us seamlessly with our dietary requirements and finding items in general! If I had known it was going to be this good - I would have stayed longer! Restaurant breakfast with Steve and Angela exceeded all expectations! Well done!

Cleanliness of Room 17 we found what looked to be a piece of dead flaky skin, within the bedding! Not great whilst mattress was very comfortable!

They were able to give us an early check-in which was absolutely fantastic! Breakfast was lovely, they had a great selection of different foods. Our room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, the soaps etc provided were lovely too.

Although breakfast was lovely, there was limited options for vegetarians. Something such as veggie sausages would have been a nice touch; however this could have been something I missed! Rooms are possibly a tiny bit dated too.

Room clean, staff helpful. Hotel is well located and not far from Richmond.

There is no lift so if you cannot manage stairs request a ground floor room. Our room wasn't ready and we'd had to wait a long time until it was even though it was well after 15:00. Breakfast was ok if you like a full english but limited bread sorts and little choice for vegetarians and vegans. Room was a bit dark and could do with a light on or next to the desk.
