The property is clean and the beds are comfortable. The shower is great. The light blocking blinds are excellent. The location near the tram stop means that is is possible to be in Civic in a few minutes. There is lots of free on-site parking.

All rooms are situated around a large central atrium. The TV and music BLAST around this space from early in the morning to late evening. This wasn’t audible from in bed but it was from within a couple of metres of the door. My travelling companion and I found this noise oppressive - and we didn’t want to eat in the atrium restaurant because of it. There is nowhere (at least that we could find) to eat or have a coffee within walking distance - though the cheaper price makes us for it.

Nice older hotel, larger more spacious areas, loved that the bedroom window cranks open for fresh air, the Atrium is an awesome hang out area, good car parking area, the app for ordering food and beverages is excellent albeit limited, but overall a lovely place to stay.

Breakfast sausages and mushrooms, tasted like vinegar sadly, scrambled eggs were powdery / watery and the hash browns were dry. Very sad after our lunches and dinners were tasty. A shelf under the vanity basin in the room would allow more than 1 towel to be hung after showers. Nowhere to hang hand towel at vanity basin. Also the staff should explain clearly to guests there is no ramp to take bags down if entering the building from the second door from the carpark.

Convenient location, secure parking and we loved the central atrium. We enjoyed the restaurant - food, service and the atrium! Good value too. The room was comfortable - I do like a sofa when I’m staying for a few nights - and the bathroom worked well. The bed was nice and comfortable (perhaps a bit soft for some) but it was a little depressed in the middle. Not too bad though. Reception service was good too.

Undercover parking would have been nice but there were some shady spots available. Access to the pool is a bit odd - walking through the foyer and/or restaurant in your swim wear - especially when you’re wet. Not a big deal though.

Stayed in the Falcon Suite; excellent room with a gorgeous entrance of flora. The staff were kind and exceptionally helpful, and the menu with room service provided quality and tasteful food. My partner and I particularly enjoyed the salt and pepper squid option. The room was easy to find, accessible, and we plan to return again in the future. The parking was also convenient and easily accessible from the hotel entrance.

The ONLY complaints shared between my partner and I was the air conditioning and windows. The air conditioning took a while to cool down the room (to be fair - it was 32 degrees), but upon opening the windows at night - there was no fly screen. This lead to mosquitos coming into the room, and causing discomfort throughout the night. There was nothing else that could be complained about at the hotel whatsoever.

The room was clean and bed was very comfy. Staff friendly and very good. We loved the environment and how the plants were incorporated in the building.

When I called earlier to discuss if there was an option to check in an hour early (1pm instead of 2) as we had to change into formals for a meeting after a long drive from interstate, the conversation was less than ideal. Not surprising or unexpected that this could not be accommodated but I was surprised by how this was handled but the staff. Not a big deal. Many hotels I have stayed in at least check, make an attempt and politely apologise. May be they were very busy at the time as he did not even check my name, booking or take any time to check. Just said bluntly, we are fully booked and it won't be possible. Also, the gym did not have water refilled, AC was not working and could be bigger for this range of hotel.

The room was good. I booked this hotel for my parents for 6 nights. It seems like a very busy hotel. Very old but still clean.

I booked this hotel for my parents for 6 nights. However, I made three transactions, it's my fault that I booked the first night on the wrong date cuz we stayed in Wollongong instead but the first transaction cannot be changed, so I have to make the third transaction for an extra night. Normally the hotel would like to help us to change it, unfortunately not this hotel. So spent money for one night in extra but they did not stay here.

The hotel is very central so everything we wanted to do was a short drive away. The restaurant and the buffet breakfast ($28 per person each morning) had great food, service and ambience. The jungle setting is really nice. The room was comfortable as well. We were very impressed with the fact that we were able to have a king and single bed in the room. Value for money was really impressive as well. Price was low but the hotel wasn't cheap. We will stay here again if we visit Canberra again.

I actually cannot think of anything.

There was a new staff member, young gentleman, who checked us in. He was very nice, unfortunately I did not get his name at the time but he was working with another gentleman who was also helping with check in. He was a happy friendly young man who gave a very good first impression when checking in. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast, location was central to what we were doing.

Unfortunately the wifi was out & fully understand that it is out of control of the hotel. A programme for the TV wouldn't go astray as it was difficult to find out what was on as the TV guide was not operating on the TV itself. These are definitely only minor things & did not really dampen our stay.

For a solo traveller visiting Canberra for a special event, the location particularly the walking distance proximity to Dickson's excellent Asian eateries, the hotel was easy to find and excellent low price point made it was value for money as I was only staying two nights. The room was more than adequate and comfortable.

The toilet in Room 251 was noisy when flushed taking some time to turn off, so avoided flushing from late night to morning, just in case persons in the adjoining room could hear the noise

Room was comfortable and quite large. Parking was handy and plentiful. The bar was comfortable and not overpriced. The breakfast was very good and was very extensive, could not have been a better way to start the day.

Room was a little old but comfortable. When we went to book for the following week we were told to book online it would be cheaper even though we were standing at the desk at the time, makes no sense. Many cars just followed each other in without using a card, could be a problem in the car park.
