Despite being a budget option we really enjoyed our stay with a 4yo. Rooms are as you’d expect, we didn’t spend much time in the room as we were out doing activities each day. We enjoyed swimming in the outdoor pool each day when we returned, note the pool is deep (no shallow section) so floaties are required for kids who aren’t confident swimmers. We also enjoyed the bar/lounge area which has nice ambience with the greenery, if you have a child and get a room on the ground floor bring a baby monitor and you can sit in the bar area or restaurant while your child sleeps. We found the food at the restaurant average and wouldnt recommend for the price but the drinks were good and fine for kids meals. Despite being next to the restaurant we didn’t have any issues with noise and slept well. The location is only downside but everything is writhin a 15 minute drive!

The location of this hotel is excellent - central to everything - easy to get around using the light rail (station directly outside the property). Communication was perfect - there was always someone at the end of the phone quickly, and at the reception desk all hours of the day. The room was as expected - good value for money, clean and cosy. The beds were fine but hopefully will receive mattress upgrades soon as getting a bit overly soft. The central atrium with restaurant and coffee shop are really beautiful and quite unique with lots of foliage and relaxed seating in amongst the fairy lights at night. We didn't have time to use the pool but it looked really inviting. The free parking was easy and secure. I would definitely stay here again next time in Canberra.

Our TV needed to be turned off at the wall as the remote wasn't doing its job. No biggie.

The ambience, friendliness, and comfort were exceptional for the price. Our room was in the circular section. I think we were upgraded a suite. Exceptionally clean. It's rare to find a hotel that caters to a quieter experience. Most places these days seem to have loud music playing... even coffee shops. We ate at the restaurant. Our meals were made with love. Beautifully presented. We both had pork belly entrees with salad. It was prepared in a different way than I've previously experienced... very tender with a delicate sauce and crackle on the side - a very generous portion. For the main course , I had warm pumkin salad with added grilled haloumi, and my husband had fettuccine carbonara. It was delicate and very tasty. My husband enjoyed the pool area and the quiet lounge area for a refreshing beer. Will definitely be back.

Location, comfort, Foxtel, Study table. There is nothing i can complain of. Check in was smooth. Was given access card and shown the way to parking which again is abundant. Staff was courteous and smiling. Reception was 24 hrs which was helpful as more often at few hotels before, i leave early and had to cross check if they received it, but here i handed the keys. Room was big enough. I used room only for sleeping as i wandered out to explore. Bathroom floor was tiles and beds were comfy. There was dedicated study table which helped me to do my work. usually, i use the table below tv as my bench but here it was designed for work. Another plus, which i didn't use is ordering from room using QR code. Its handy esp if you are tired.

Couple of things but not great deal. 1. Biscuits with tea would be better even if its just arrow root or milk bikkies. 2. Charging point are all on ground level towards the floor so mobiles and laptops have to be pulled, need to have long wire. Only near basin they are placed above. Again, these are min compared to the plusses i got.

From the moment one walks into the foyer/reception area you cannot help but be impressed by the natural surroundings, Trees & plants were just divine. Reception staff were knowledgeable and friendly and actual check in was so quick & efficient that it must have taken less than 2-3 minutes. We chose the 1 bedroom apartment ( inexpensive) and it was so clean with all ancillary products beautifully arranged/organized. And finally the full continental breakfast was outstanding with a great range of fresh & tasty food at a very, very reasonable price. Management & staff are to be congratulated and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this establishment when in Canberra. Location was excellent, (light rail virtually at your doorstep) quiet and peaceful. I will definitely return when next in Canberra,

Nothing at all

Most facilities; the bed. The bathroom was OK for me - because of my physical limitations, I need a separate shower, not a shower over a bath, so that was OK.

In room 263, the 'comfortable' seating was not so comfortable. The lounge (which is probably a lounge bed) was not comfortable to sit in, and the white lounge chair which rotated and tipped (without reclining) was not really comfortable either. While I was sitting reading in the lounge room, a painting fell off the wall onto the floor. I think it musn't have been properly hung when it was last placed there. As far as I could tell, there was no bump to cause it to fall. A mystery!

It is in a great location and perfect for families. Beds are comfortable, good power shower. Good restaurant and bar facilities which made it easier for meal times before after a long day at the museums, selective basic menu for kids and adults alike. Calm atmosphere, not rowdy or loud.

Our standard room was lovely with new curtains, lamps etc but it had far too much furniture in it. For 1-2nights we only needed a desk, side tables and TV. I would suggest removing some items (sofa chair, two upright chairs, luggage racks, hutch etc) to make space in the room.

The staff were amazing especially at the reception Adi i think her name was did exceptional service . The room was very outdated . I have 16 month old so she upgraded us . Parking secure .

Room were not cleanes at all . Even the sheets on the bed were not changed for like a long time. We found a lunchbox in the shelves , which wasnt professional .Bugs on the floor . They were so many staff but yet the frpnt office people were running aroumd even doing room service which I found a bit odd . Food were sotting outside the rooms like for hours .

Honestly service here is absolutely amazing, I didn’t realise there were spa suites, so I emailed the hotel hoping I could get that room instead and I was upgraded with a discount and they added a cot for my daughter. Couldn’t thank Tenga enough their fantastic hospitality and service. When arriving the place was beautiful with all the greenery and lights, so peaceful. Rooms are spacious and it has everything you need. A little outdated on appliances but still a bargain for your buck. The restaurant staff was lovely, organised a high chair for my baby and kept coming over to say hello to her. Food was delicious that night we ordered the pork belly, butter chicken and rump steak, couldn’t fault it. Definitely a wonderful stay for the few nights we were in Canberra.

The only thing I could fault is the bathroom and spa is outdated. It felt like I was going to break a piece of the spa everything I got out. As well as the temperature of the water was either boiling hot or freezing cold, no in between which definitely ruined our showers but apart from that, I couldn’t fault anything else.

Let me start by saying service, service, service! From the moment you arrive, nice friendly greeting, easy check in process, the kindness shown to my little one, the endless smiles, what a great team you have. The rooms are big and for us it's just what we need, two beds, bit of space and a bath. Yes the rooms are older but it doesn't lack any comfort at all, the bed if super comfortable, mix of pillows and extra bedding if you feel the cold. Breakfast is always a hit for us, book the night before at a discounted rate and there's something for everyone and it's very fresh, probably because it's so busy and they are working hard in the kitchen to keep up with the demand.

Not much and not major but the cleanliness of a couple of things, it's things that are probably not on the list when housekeeping is going in but giving the walls a good wipe down would be fab and the tables at breakfast, the design of the tables unfortunately allow for food to go under the glass which is hard to clean and looks a bit grubby when it's time to eat your meal.
