The location. I flew in to SYD on Thursday evening and left late morning on the Sunday. I wanted something close to Central Station and to the Light Rail lines, as I was going to train up and back to Newcastle, to spend three hours there, on the Friday. On the Saturday I was meeting family and friends throughout the day, and joining family to see. “Hamilton” that evening so, being in my mid 80’s, the Light Rail service was perfect and much used. I had Room 4, on the corner and on the floor immediately above the Bar area. The room was large, well furnished (I did admire the red cedar wardrobe, sideboard, desk and the very comfortable bed and chairs) The en-suite was good and quiet and spacious. For a city centre room, I found it quiet enough - I would’ve been disappointed not to hear some noise but there was not that disturbed my sleep. Although I did have a nightcap in the Bar each evening as I arrived in from my forays, I didn’t eat in as I was sharing meals downtown with family. Never did noise from the Bar area intrude into my solitude in the room.
There was nothing I didn’t like.

My sister and I shared a deluxe double room: two queen beds with good space, and a neat en-suite. The location, close to Sydney's Central Railway Station, was perfect for our further travel. I've stayed here a few times now and it has always been a comfortable hotel. The generous quantity of toiletries was remarkable. The staff member who first allowed us to leave our large luggage (we arrive two hours before check-in) and later checked us in, was efficient, friendly and thorough in her introduction to the hotel's facilities and other matters.
Being mid-Summer, the room was quite warm, despite the air-con. The TV worked but it was impossible to actually get a program to watch.

Big room with everything we needed. Quiet. Secure -- separate key card entry from pub downstairs. Hotel is perfectly placed for transport -- light rail, trains and buses. It takes less than 15 minutes to get to the airport by train. The bistro down stairs in the pub serves good food, so is very handy.
The huge lights which illuminate the building which come on at 7,15pm daily and stay on all night seeped into our room, The curtains kept out the light but light shone in above and to the sides of the curtains making the room very bright all through the night. We asked for 2 key cards but it seemed too much trouble to make a second card, A single key card was inconvenient,

Fantastic location. Clean, comfortable with everything we need. We could walk into the city or go anywhere very easily with Central Station right across the road. There are plenty of food choices close by and cheap pub food right here. There's also a park across the road. Great price.
It's a little noisy but not bad. There is a little too much light from behind curtains. Can't open windows for fresh air. No access to catch-up TV, etc. Bed lamps are not bright enough for reading. All this is usual anyway, though. Can't complain given the cost.

Hi. We had a 2nd floor room right next to the lift and therefore just above the trams as they go around the curve. We brought our earplugs and we really needed them to sleep. Having had the room below on our first visit and finding the trams shook the room and made a lot of loud noise we were apprehensive, but the combination of double glazing and good earplugs enabled us to get a decent sleep.
A room further away from the trams would have been good. I did request this., but we still ended up over the tram. Otherwise our stay was great.

Location is amazing, train and light rail are just next to hotel! We just really went to the city just to eat whole day and walk around. It's a last minute plan..
For 211$ it's so worth it!!!🎉 (sunday-Monday) so pub its not busy at night. The room is massive compared to 500$ standard room around the area. Just put 9 star, just being a stress mum right now😅😂lols As our room "family room" is next to the spotlight of their logo hotel!🥲😅 so our room is bright. And as well vehicles sounds. So if you're a light sleeper it's not suitable. I was telling to my husband if go to city again just for quick one, we will come back here, and hopefully they have same room different side of the building..

Very good location with access to a range of public transport but also within easy walking distance of things to see. Double glazed windows so the room was quiet. Plent of place to eat and also buy groceries, coffees etc. quick acccess 24hr with proximity key
There was no water at all for 15 minutes on one morning at 7.15am which meant you could not shower, the toilet would not refill etc. Also the internet is abysmally slow which is not acceptable for a room in this day and age costing around $200 per night. I think Australia Post snail mail is quicker!

Location is amazing, it is right opposite the central station!
On my 1st night, I was awakened at 4 am by loud noises and laughter in the corridor. It sounded like someone was having a lot of fun, but unfortunately, they were also very loud and seemed drunk. The noise continued for almost 40 minutes, making it impossible to sleep. We tried calling the reception multiple times for assistance, but no one answered. It was very frustrating and disrupted our rest.

The beds were excellent, the room was clean. I heard the WiFi works fine, but I didn't use it. The pub food is awesome, and there's a daily happy hour, a great way to end the day after touring. The staff was always friendly and smiling. If you want convenience in Sydney, stay here. It's right across from Central Station and the Trams, providing quick access to everywhere.
The room is excellent, but the downside is our street-facing view, with a 24-hour pub across the road. It can get rowdy early in the morning. However, this only happened twice during my five-day stay, so it wasn't a major issue.

The room was spacious and had the basics. It was pretty clean and the staff were friendly and competent. Although it a pub and is only a few metres from the light rail, double gazing means its not too noisy. Its good value for money in central Sydney. The location near Central Station makes it very convenient to get anywhere.
Others have mentioned the lack of an iron - not a big deal. The main issue is light from external floodlights coming through the curtains - it was OK for me , but those who need it to be pitch black to sleep, you wont get much here.
