Great location, easy walk to Darling Harbour, The Rocks, Circular Quay - all the shopping, restaurants, bars, and main attractions. Easy walk to public transport - buses, trains, trams and ferries. Staff were friendly and able to accommodate our bags on the day of our departure so that we could continue seeing some sights during the day. The hotel also had a bar and provided a food menu. There was seating available inside and outside. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a mini fridge.

The Hotel didn't seem provide rooms with single beds, only queen size beds. The room was a little on the small side. I would consider this a budget hotel and it seemed on the pricy end for a budget hotel. I know that parking in the city is expensive and I chose not to drive in as it would have costed an additional $45/day to park in the hotel.

Great location and perfect for a 1 night stay (we were there for Taylor Swift concert). Had all the things needed in the room for a one night stay (or 2 night max). The check in staff member was awesome. We arrived early and we're checked in early (we are members of Accor so this was a free service). He had all the info on trains for getting to Olympic park, explained the return procedure when coming in late at night (does not have 24 hr reception, but we didn't need it). Checkout time was a very reasonable 11am. Parking is available through the hotel (but as we were only there 1 night we opted for the car park 50m across the road, it was $10 cheaper for the night, but that only allows one entry one exit, if you are going to be using your car multiple times during day, opt for the hotel one at $60 per night. Overall great spot for a short stay.

Was a bit pricey at $469, but given it was the weekend Taylor Swift was playing it was about $500 less than most hotel that night! I reckon normal rates are well under $250 per night.

Only a 2min walk from Wynyard Train Station. So close to the water, restaurants, cafes & convenience stores - excellent location. Standard double room was surprisingly roomy & great for a one night stay.

We changed our booking through booking.com to get breakfast included which cost an extra $60 for breakfast for 2 people. When arriving upon check in they told us there was no hot food, only continental (pastries, toast, fruit etc) we couldn’t believe for $30 each it was only continental. We could have got a nice hot meal for that price instead. No where states its continental & for $30 per person you would expect an option of hot breakfast food from a menu.

Exactly what we needed small , best bed we've slept on . Comfortable air-conditioned,rooms were super quiet . You heard nothing and our room was right across from the lifts and no road noise. Bathrooms were clean modern. Even a gym and bathrooms on carpark level. Paid gladly parking as lift went straight down or up to hotel. We paid for breakfast that was so good we had a tall glass of apple juice , cup of yoghurt with strawberry topping and I had toasted muffin cheese and ham and hubby had a bagel with same filling. It was fresh warm and filling . They make a good coffee , coming from me that's big.nice to sit inside or outside and watch people go buy. Very chilled and layed back the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were there to celebrate our anniversary with Australia Day. I thought I would pay for bottle champagne, but they surprised us with a room upgrade. It was so thoughtful. It was location location a block down was darling harbour and too catch the ferry was not even 2min walk. Many restaurants at harbour you have so much to choose from. The people climbed on the tour boat from there for Australia Day.We walked not even 7min to Wynard Station which was one stop from Circular quay. There is also the bus stops by station. This is perfect for a getaway for spending day out, and having a good Comfortable room to sleep shower and go on your next adventure.

It fulfilled our expectations

Close to everything. Close to Darling Harbour. Close to the CBD. Close to all attractions. Close to the train station which was very handy as we were going to Accor Stadium on Saturday night to see Kiss. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Great location and affordable.

Breakfast service on the Saturday was very poor. I received my meal first but the problem was my daughters didn't come out until 30 minutes later. All she asked for a a glass bottle of orange juice (no prep required), fruit salad (just take it out of the fridge pre-prepared) and a bagel with cream cheese. Just cut the bagel in half, spread the cream cheese on it and heat it up. I think what was most disappointing was the lack of awareness and no apology which would have been nice. A simple sorry about the wait but there was nothing.

I liked the closeness to the wharf that's why I stayed again. I liked the friendly fellow who made my coffees most mornings, he was very professional and always had a smile. Some staff at counter were welcoming each time I came in or out and that made my experience much better. Its the little things that count. A smile doesn't cost anything.

I didn't like that when I came wasn't greeted nor did the staff member wear a uniform, and he wasn't the only one dressed very casually and you couldn't tell if they were staff. Also didn't like his attitude when he kept insisting I had to pay the whole amount for my stay which I had paid online months ago. I even showed him twice the receipt with date and amount paid and finally he agreed. I think staff like him need more training. Also room wasn't cleaned properly for a few days and when I left a note for an extra towel, I got no towels and had to ring through to get them. Room was cleaned properly on the 3rd day. Also TV didn't seem to be working correctly as channels either missing or on wrong channel.

Shout out to the staff at the Ibis Barangaroo; they were all polite, helpful and great to deal with. From check in to check out. They even made an effort to say hello every time we went in and out of the hotel. The room exceeded our expectations of cleanliness and the block out blinds were great; the room was small but fine for a base to explore the city. We were lucky enough to have parking within the building which was an added luxury in the city. The grab and go breakfast was an added bonus; so easy to order and they were quick to get it ready. Also great coffee, no need to use the kettle on the room or search for a cafè. A very short walk to Barangaroo, Darling Harbour the centre of the city and circular quay. Again we would like to let the team know that we are thankful for the service provided to us, they were extremely professional.

As mentioned the rooms are small, but this didn’t bother us as it was a great base to explore the city. The location and service exceeded expectations.

Location is excellent, friendly staff, plenty of power sockets in room, large comfortable bed and TV is good.

1. Breakfast is very disappointing. the menu was limited. We went down for breakfast at 9am and ordered 2 coffees, 2 bacon & egg rolls and 2 slices of raisins toasts it took them 90 mins to make we got the food at 10:30am with cold coffee. There were not many customers when we got there but of course at the end of it there were many angry customers. However after complaining they extended our checkout to be at 12am. 2. The hotel doesn’t provide a shower cap and the shower head is fixed so it is annoying and had to spend time to use the hairdryer. 3. No parking at the hotel so you need to pay extra for the parking.

Everything about our stay was perfect! We were in Sydney for the Vivid Festival, and had a dinner cruise booking. The location of the ibis was ideal! It's close to all the action of Darling Harbour, but far enough away from all the noise. Conveniently located only 2 blocks from the King Street wharf, it took us under 5 minutes to walk to our ferry. Our room was clean, well presented and quiet. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom well appointed. The rooms are on the small side, but provide more than enough space for an enjoyable stay. We only needed somewhere to get ready for our night out and somewhere to sleep, so for us everything about our room was ideal, including the price. We enjoyed a couple of Espresso Martini's in the onsite cafe/bar before heading out for the night. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful with directions and advice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again next time we are in Sydney. Highly recommend.

We booked here mainly for the location - close to Barangaroo Wharf as we had some sightseeing in mind and we had a Special Dinner cruise booked for the Saturday night. So Location was important . Room was adequate as we were not going to spend alot of time there.

We were sent an email saying that the hotel would be happy to take care of our bags so we didn't have to carry them around with us for most of the day. But when we asked at reception we were told that there was a fee for this but if we become a member this fee would be waived. No one was at the desk when we arrived and we found it not welcoming to start with.
