Great hotel in a central location just a few minutes walk from Circular Quay. The Concierge and desk staff were exceptional, helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. The rooms were comfortable, very clean, air conditioned with a small fridge and bar, TV and good lighting. The bed was comfortable and the linen very good quality. Breakfast was very comprehensive, a good choice, buffet with the option to order bespoke dishes if required. No problems even when crowded.

We didn't use the restaurant or bar, as usual for Hotels the prices were 30% above average for the area and when you are a short walk from a huge choice they didn't stand a chance. Almost none of the staff had English as a first language which did mean a couple of orders at breakfast were misunderstood.

Loved the club access! Everyone was SUPER accommodating! The location was outstanding! 5-7 minute walk to Sydney opera house, bus stop right outside for bus to Bondi Beach. Food was delicious! Main ferry hun also a 5-7 minute walk.

The shower set up was awkward as the shower head really wasn't that great--only had one setting where the water shot straight out and because of the awkward shower set up, it felt like the entire bathroom was drenched after every shower. It wasn't enough of a bother to hinder our entire stay, but it was annoying.

The staff honestly made the stay amazing - I believe it was Daisy who helped me and was amazing, very kind and personable. The bed was so super comfy.

I did think a lot of the appliances/fixtures/ whole room was very old and really contrasted the classy modern foyer. The key entry was a bit Dodgy and would take many tries. The shower was also very disappointing, it didn’t get hot and didn’t have great pressure. If the people weren’t as lovely and helpful as they were I would be disappointed with the money I spent vs the quality of the room.

perfectly located and within walking distance to various attractions such as the opera house, royal botanical gardens, circular quay and many more. I particularly loved the ambience of the lobby and the staff were exceptionally friendly. My room was clean, quiet and the bed was amazingly comfortable. I ordered breakfast and it didn’t take very long before it was delivered to my room. I had read others reviews of the elevators, however I didn’t have any issues with them.

Not really their fault but due to a knee injury I found it difficult getting into the shower as it was inside the bath. I would have preferred a walk in shower but it was still sufficient for my needs.

Good central location, walking distance to opera house and shopping centres, very comfortable bed, clean room, friendly staff

Bath tub was tiny, conditioner, shampoo etc was placed high on the wall so in order to use this you have to physically stand up in the bath and sit back down again. Also there is a shower tray on the wall for personal items but it is very low down at the side of the bath tub, so you have to be careful not to catch your arm on this when using the bath as it is metal and almost unavoidable.

We had booked one room with Booking.com to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary but we’re not particularly impressed with the room booked. I had rung the hotel directly to add an additional night’s stay and we were delighted that Vanessa, at reception, arranged for us to have a much nicer, larger suite for us for our second night. My husband and I were both impressed with the professionalism and care shown by Vanessa.

Disappointed in the size of the Classic King room.

I needed a document urgently printed. I walked around the city for over an hour looking for somewhere to print it. When I got back to the hotel, the receptionist printed it for me promptly and for free. The concierge staff were also really polite and friendly. I will come back and stay either next month or the following month. I also like being next to the chocolate store. I chose the hotel for its prime location and it is a Sydney institution.

The lifts are really slow. Lots of people were jammed to the front of the lift and I heard them complaining a lot. This was only this morning. Maybe to avoid this you can post up a sign saying “apologies for the wait” or try and stagger the check-in, check out times.

The hotel staff knew it was our anniversary and they surprised us with the most gorgeous petit fours and sparkling wine delivered to our room on our arrival. It was a lovely way to be welcomed. The staff were all so lovely and genuinely friendly. Our room was really nice - comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! Thank you for making our anniversary even more special.

The mini bar was empty. It would be great to have some sprits and mixers in the room to make our own cocktails too!

We loved the bed, and my pillow was wonderful. We both slept well. The staff were great, ready, and willing to help in any way. Our 2 night stay was the best one we've had in the city this past year. We will stay here again on next trips to Sydney.

Our booking included breakfast, but at check-in, we were told no, it wasn't included. So we missed out on breakfast, the costs were deducted from the bill but I was still disappointed to miss the opportunity to dine there. Always next time!
