Excellent value for money. Comfortable room. The hotel restaurant was better than expected. We appreciated the ease of parking at this hotel, and were offered a very good daily parking rate. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Thornleigh is not an exciting locale itself, but there are several reasonable restaurants close by. The train station is a convenient short walk away. The proximity of the NorthConnex motorway made it easy for us to get around by car.

Our ground-floor room lacked privacy from the outside as the building is surrounded by carpark. Next time, I'd ask for a room on a higher floor.

I liked the comfortable bed, the double glazing (and the fact that the window could also open), the neat bathroom and the friendliness of everyone I dealt with. I found everything I needed - the electric kettle, the tea, the mug, the iron and ironing board, the power sockets for my phone and computer, and good bedside lights. I especially liked the good breakfast in a well lit and comfortable dining room.

I did not have a bedside table on my side of the bed. I just needed a small table for the phone, the book, and the cup of tea.

Location was perfect for us. Price was best available in the area. The rooms are modular units with a bathroom. They're not salubrious but they are very functional. There are a number of restaurants located within an easy walk. There is also a restaurant in the motel if you prefer. Motel is walking distance to a supermarket.

The towels had a nasty stain on them. They were obviously cleanly washed but unfortunately the stain had survived the laundering. That was a bit gross.

The location is great if you are accessing services on the upper North Shore. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The downstairs restaurant that is open all day is fantastic as the place is not so close to other amenities. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It's a little hidden gem if you need to undertake activities in this area.

The external building is looking a bit tired, but the comfort, facilities and friendliness of staff more than makes up for this.

Location was perfect for medical reasons . Our room was clean and basic. The bathroom reminded me of a bathroom on a cruise ship only smaller but it wasn’t to bad. Bed was comfortable and I always bring my own pillow so I can’t comment on pillows. Our room was quiet on the 4th floor Breakfast was fine, I didn’t have the buffet just takeaway menu and coffee . There’s a bar restaurant and a small lounge area near reception so if you didn’t want to go out you don’t have to. Staff were very friendly

The matter of paying for parking or signing up to become a member. I’m already a member but off course I booked through a 3rd party so that didn’t qualify!! We had to sign up with my husband’s email address. Really !! That’s just a con isn’t it . In all honesty why charge for parking anyway!!.

Clean, neat and tidy room and the ensuite was quite a surprise, it made us smile .... the design made a great use of the space (spaceship) and the bathroom products were a real surprise. The receptionist and manager were very helpful and obliging - the lobby is amazing with a lounge area, dining room and water/glasses on the way to reception. Also outside table and chairs in the carpark at the front entrance !!!!

You can't really open the window much because it's a bit nousy.

Breakfast was excellent, the room was well presented and very clean. The bed was very good, the pillows in particular were clean and soft. I would also like to thank all the staff of IBIS Thornleigh who were very helpful.

The only small additional consideration could be for the room to have a chair and also side tables for the bed. Other than those two points the room was very well presented

We stay here whenever we visit friends who live locally so it’s very convenient. Always comfortable and clean with on site parking. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The Christmas mince pies and chocolates were a lovely touch.

We pre paid our booking so it was a surprise to be charged an extra amount after checkout. This was for parking @ $10 per night. Parking was always free in the past so it would have been nice if this were mentioned on check in.

Ibis is a budget hotel, you cannot expect luxurious facilities. I prefer it over others because of cost. This Ibis hotel is located at the north end of Sydney. It is good an overnight stay for travellers heading to Brisbane. Close to A1 motorway. Close to some good restaurants and there is a huge 24 hrs McDonalds next to it. Check in and check out process was smooth. Was surprised to know the parking was not free and there were ample of parking spots vacant.

Parking was not free.

Nice breakfast and comfortable room.

A bit sparse with milk for tea and coffee. Shampoo container in the shower was empty or faulty. A problem with the bill at checkout. I had paid for parking and breakfast in advance on checkin but this didn’t show up on checkout.
