Just returned from my ninth stay @ The Reef and believe it's the only place to stay in Cairns. Location is excellent hard to fault customer service by the wonderful staff @ reception also clean and beautiful amenities. Looking forward to my next Cairns trip.

Can't fault anything.

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom (spa bath) and shower were excellent. The pool area could do with a better bar facility as no one was answering the telephone that was provided to call from. We arrived as Cyclone Jasper was approaching. The lockdown was well managed and we were provided for extremely well for the entire time we could not leave the hotel. We will definitely revisit one day in better weather.

The gym area had a rather damp and musty smell. The TV was very complicated to use and all movies you had to pay for....during lockdown this was very frustrating.

This hotel is beautiful, classy, elegant and comfortable rooms. First class accommodation and service was impeccable. I have not come across such perfect service in a long time. Beds are very comfortable, the hotel is very clean & stylish, beautiful artworks, an amazing gym area and beautiful pool with personal drink or food service. I could not fault this hotel in any way. It also has stunning water views, walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. Do yourself a favour, stay there at least 1 night, it’s awesome. I will be back Pullman

The location was fantastic. Easy short walk to marina and also short walk to heart of the city. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. It was a served breakfast from a menu and the service was always quick and everything was always delicious with a good choice of menu. It was very clean as well.

We were not in our room for long periods but at times when we were there, we would want to watch the TV for the news and found the TV not very user friendly.Also the voice on the TV informing that we were changing the volume was very annoying.

Good location, clean room. Really enjoyed the stay and the pool.

Some of the staff don’t seem to know hotel policy. We were told we could have late checkout by 2 parties and it was noted on our file. On the day of checkout we then had someone call us and state we had to exit with only moments notice. We did checkout and my husband had another person check it who confirmed we did in fact have late checkout which left a negative impression. Pity as we stayed in another Accor hotel the night before this one and the service and stay was impeccable. Other than that we liked the property.

The Pullman Reef is a hotel built in the old tradition of a large lobby and large rooms and bathrooms. It is located very near the waterfront promenade where many of the best restaurants in the city are located. Their staff are friendly and well informed about what to do and how to get there. One of the concierge staff, an older gentleman, Matt maybe, was extraordinarily helpful with places to go for dinner and fun activities. We enjoyed our stay very much.

No complaints

Good location, close to everything. Variety of restaurants and bars at the hotel with good food and reasonably priced. Staff were excellent and were very accommodating to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Cleanliness of room was good with daily house keeping. Enjoyed going to the casino.

Pool was nice but could be bigger, pool drinks were over priced so we did not order these whilst at the pool which would have been enjoyable. Outdoor spa was touch and go.

Location is fantastic, it’s within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, shops and the marina. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was extremely comfy. The room had everything we needed. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. There was lots of delicious options for breakfast and there was also 3 restaurants in the hotel which is convenient for those who don’t want to venture out.

The jacuzzi was not very warm which was disappointing.

Location was great, Staff were awesome and so friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and very comfortable. Could do with a bit of an update and revamp. The restaurants, except the breakfast one, were wonderful. The Soy Kitchen is a must!!!

We were not happy with the Breakfast restaurant. It was the worst hotel breakfast we have ever had. The food was cold and they sent out the wrong eggs . The waitress we had was not very pleasant and reluctantly took the plate away and changed the eggs and bought back a cold meal. Not happy at all about the breakfast at all. The coffee was good though. We do not recommend booking for breakfast but do recommend staying at the hotel

Staff and facilities are always great and friendly

Room service can never get our orders right or don’t have what is on the menu. Ordered a pot of tea, a mug of tea with the tea bag in came up, tried to order 2 different desserts on the menu had none, they had 3 different ice cream flavours on the menu and had none. Our breakfast 3 days before this was barely warm and we were sent salmon instead of bacon. Previous visits were the same, and we could stop ordering room service but like to give the benefit of the doubt and keep trying. Don’t like that there is no mini bar anymore and that there is no individual toiletry items anymore.
