My daughter and I came from Melbourne to visit a family member undergoing some serious surgery at RHH. The hospital was literally a five minute walk away (which made it ideal for us) and also perfectly located for us to walk everywhere else (shops, waterfront, Salamanca market etc). We were so grateful to be upgraded to a one bedroom apartment on the 10th floor (with amazing views) which was a wonderful gesture by Mantra Collins given the stressful and emotional reason we’d come to Hobart. The apartment was clean, super comfortable and even had a Nespresso machine which made it feel a bit like home! The staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming.

Excellent location close to everything in the CBD. Really easy walk to the dock precinct and Elizabeth Street Mall. Would be fantastic location for people needing the royal Hobart hospital as it’s across the road, and next door to Ronald McDonald house. Bed and pillows were nice and comfortable, made for a great night sleep. Every staff member I spoke to was lovely, especially the housekeeping team. I hope to come back to Hobart one day and will choose this hotel again.

Ventilation in the bathroom - hopefully this is being addressed in the renovations currently taking place. Some noise one night from a chopper arriving at the hospital across the road, was not a big deal for me but light sleepers may struggle. This only happened once in a 4 night stay and other than that, there was minimal noise.

Fantastic location in Hobart - opposite Royal Hobart Hospital (but you wouldn't know it, very rarely heard ambulances etc.) and within very easy walking distance of Victoria Dock/Constitution Dock. Rooms were extremely spacious (we had an interconnecting hotel room and 1 bed apartment setup); kitchen a great size; bathrooms lovely. Beds very comfortable. Handy to have a laundry on the first floor as well. Also received some lovely Lindt chocolates for Easter :) All of the reception staff were helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Breakfast at the cafe did not include the whole breakfast menu which was a bit disappointing as our Mantra stay in Launceston did. Would have been good to have the option to include a parking deal when booking; parking was nearby in a multistory carpark which was not a big issue for us as it was over the Easter public holidays and not busy, but I imagine it could get difficult at other times.

Our stay at Mantra was excellent. The location is great, closer to everything including shopping centre and food stores. We did not even need our car, we could walk to all the close-by attractions and food venues. We got a one bedroom apartment and a king room and the hotel upgraded us from the King room to the one bedroom apartment which was fantastic. The room was very clean, spacious, bed was very comfortable. They also included breakfast in the price. I had poked eggs, avocados and smoke salmon and a pot of tea for breakfast and it was FREE (all included in the room price already). Definitely will come back next time we are in Hobart. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Mantra.!

Great Location with Lovely Staffs

They parking arrangement is not great to be honest. They have a $18 per day parking arrangement with Sultan's parking building but only ONE Entry and ONE Exit. So if you have multiple entry and exit then each time if it is less than 6 hours you have to pay the hourly rate. I stayed in many Mantra hotel in Australia and they have better parking arrangement than this one.

The staff were exceedingly helpful, when we arrived. The booking.com site had indicated we would have at least a microwave in our Queen room, however upon enquiring Mantra informed us that such was only available in a one-bedroom apartment. We were thoroughly thankful & delighted when the Mantra reception staff upgraded us to an apartment with no question as we were there for several days due to a hospital admission

Staff was friendly and very helpful, above anything I expected. Room was clean, attractively decorated, and quiet. Complementary use of self laundry was great, not so much because of expense as not having to worry about exact change.

Room size and amenities were pretty standard. Breakfast offerings were limited. Had to go through front desk to get ice or other supplies. No grab bar in shower despite slick floor.

Perfect location as my partner was in Royal Hobart Hospital for a bypass. The guys on the reception couldn’t be more friendly or helpful in what was a pretty stressful time. The room was kept lovely and clean and there was even laundry facilities which was a real help.

I found everything extremely satisfactory….there wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

Lovely, friendly "front of house" staff. Small issue with my room was resolved without a problem. Lovely on-site cafe for delicious breakfasts; opens at 06:30, which fitted in well with my schedule.

As a first-time, and short-stay, visitor to Hobart, I would have liked a folder with perhaps a map of the city, places to eat, shop, visit etc.

Soni and his team really took great care of us and were so friendly and welcoming. Everything was clean as a whistle with beautiful mountain and sea views from our apartment. It’s also in a great location, central to everything but on a quiet street.

There was nothing we didn’t like. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we visit Tassie
