The location was fantastic, it was nice and close to the waterfront (hence the name) so close to Salamanca Wharf and Constitution Dock. Easy transport from the airport as the bus stop for the Sky Bus is about 50 meters from the hotel entrance. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby and everything is within easy walking distance. A great spot to stay if you're visiting Hobart.

Unfortunately the air conditioner in the room made a groaning/clunking sound that made it difficult to sleep with it on. The weather was mild so this was not a massive problem but it left the room a little stuffy. I raised it with the hotel staff and it was listed to be repaired.

The location was perfect! So accessible to everything in Hobart. Right on the water front , walking distance to the Salamanca market , opposite the pier to catch Ferry to Mona and hop on hop of bus , and lots of restaurants. Highly recommend

The bed was not great , the mattress needed to be replaced it was very lumpy, like hard springs and squeaky every time I moved . I think the room needs heavy drapes on the windows to block the noise of the street ..it was very noisy in the middle of the night we could hear people screaming and partying in the street but overall for the location and price it was perfect!

the room was spacious and we were able to check in slightly early and check out slightly later (great for baby) the location is brilliant and we would return just for how convenient it was (and quite affordable). The house keeping staff were super friendly, I know totally irrelevant but nice. The washer and dryer was also convenient and free to use)

the rooms werent overly sound proof - it normally wouldnt be an issue but we did stay with a baby and over a weekend so understandably there was quite a bit of noise overnight and we really struggled with keeping baby asleep. We had reserved a cott which wasnt in the room, took a long time to come, and then was broken which wasnt ideal. They were very under staffed so you do feel for who is there and working and dont want to complain.

The location is perfect for Salamanca and the wharf area and within easy walking distance of the main CBD. We did not need a car to get around the city. Our room was extremely clean, a little bit small and the TV could have been better located but as I've stayed there before I knew what to expect and by that I mean everything we could have needed. Quest accommodations in Hobart have the advantage of being of a high standard in all the most important things, especially cleanliness, comfort and very good staff. There's also a laundry for guests to use which is fabulous for longer stays.

The walls are thin and our neighbours were noisy but the desk staff sorted them out quickly and there was no further issue.

The hotel is located in the heart of Hobart, right next to the bus stop from the airport; the steamboat to the MONA museum is just a 2 min walk and close to various tour companies. In addition, the hotel is located next to the information centre, right between the CBD and the old city. The room was big with all the needed facilities. There was even an electronic stove in the room, and you could cook for yourself whenever necessary. The hotel has delightful and courteous staff who are always ready to help. Even though I was only in the hotel for two nights, a maid cleaned my room every day.

The only negative can be considered a noticeable obsolescence of the hotel. The elevator and the general atmosphere suggest that this building is already quite a few years old. However, none of this interferes with quality service and comfortable accommodation.

The location is perfect. Sky bus to the airport and tour buses such as the Mount Wellington bus and Hop on/off red deckers just outside the hotel. Salamanca markets, The Docks, all the best restaurants a few steps away.

A bit more toiletries would have been great - it was never topped up and we were not very comfortable to be asking. Bought our own instead from local shops after the first day. Reception is not always manned. Check out time is 11 but we wanted to check out early and leave our bags for the day and the only times you can do this on Sunday is between 9 and 5.30 which meant we could not leave early and pick bags up late. But the location compensated for all this.

I liked it a lot. Not grand but very good. Staff were wonderful. Room temperature just right without using the heating. Excellent location. Fantastic laundry facilities. Good restaurants nearby. Everything provided with good thought.

It would have been good to have a hook on the back of the door to hang my wet coat ( it rained a lot ) It would have been good to have the option of paying for cable tv. To open a window would have been nice. Disappointed in lack of shower safety rails and only half the bath surface non slip.

Excellent location right near the waterfront and the Salamanca area (one minute walk to the market on Saturday). The spa bath was good, the bed was comfortable and clean, and the staff were excellent.

No 24 hour reception, but my key worked well at letting myself in after 6.

The location was paramount and this place was well placed. 1 to 10 mins walk maximum to everywhere we wanted to see and do in the heart of Hobart. Lots of restaurants all within easy walking distances and manageable for two middle age people, on the not so fit side. Even with winter kicking in, it was tolerable and easy. The unit was well stocked with kitchen utensils and basic necessities. Laundry (washing machines and dryer to manage yourself) was free and staff were always friendly and welcoming and very helpful if required.

The heating aircon placement in our room, 2nd floor 22 was strange. The beds were placed around a wall away from it and that's where we needed the warm airflow the most. It was warm and toasty in the lounge area, but the bed area and the separate small bedroom area were cold. We had to increase and decrease the temperatures constantly to adjust to where we were in the unit, but other than this, we managed. Also there wasn't any windows that could be opened, even just a small amount, if you wanted a bit of fresh air.

Hot water pressure to low to was my thick hair We could not fit our hire car SUV outlander in the car park as spaces to small ( was told it would fit when I booked the room) so had to park on the street with parking metres. So had to move car by 9 and return after 6, luckily we only picked up the car for last 2 nights of our 5 night stay in Hobart, we were planning to be out all day anyway.
