We found the location of the hotel to be excellent and only a short walk to restaurants, the waterfront and general shopping. We enjoyed walking around the city and getting to know it. We would def. stay again.

When checking in, I half joked & said, "I hope you've got a nice room for us " & I was surprised that the receptionist said because we'd booked thru booking.com he wouldn't be able to do anything about that as the room was already allocated. Which I thought was an odd reply and it made me wonder if we had booked directly with the hotel would we have been 'allocated' a better floor. I guess I'll never know !

Beautiful common area with fireplace and lovely seating and bar off of it. Would be lovely in the winter. Hotel room was lovely with a good sized table for eating. Close to the CBD and the wharf area for ferries to MONA and Bellerive. The Fellows bookshop across the road is a really good one with cafe food inside.

No real views from our room on level 3. A staff member changed the direction of a lift we were in twice to suit where she was going.

Location right in the city and sky bus stops directly across the road as does the hop on hop off bus. Good size room, bed was comfortable. Could open a window which was good. Breakfast was average and service wasn’t great. Liked the lounge/bar area which was spacious and food was really nice. About a 10 min walk to the harbour.

Housekeeping service was not up to standard. Emptied bin but didn’t make bed. One small milk supplied but we were staying 5 days. Told us that’s all you get, until we complained. One day they didn’t come at all to change towels etc. definitely needs better management.

Staff, foyer space, building design (very good blend of modern and historic), location was perfect. walking distance to all the attractions other than MONA (short drive). Good communication, accommodating, good secure car parking. Well managed. Will be back.

Restaurant could run some specials. Lacked the buzz even though the staff and chefs were great. Need to attract the guests to eat in house... complimentary wine or lower the prices a bit

Location fantastic Room big and good. 7/10 Wardrobe small and useless. 2/10 Chairs are the worst in long list of hotels I’ve stayed. I’m a normal sized person . 1/10 Rooms are supposed to be a place to relax, and found it difficult in this hotel room. Breakfast in Charcoal very good. 9/10 Dinner in Cascade bar excellent, staff fantastic.10/10 We asked Ben at front desk for a recommendation where to eat. The front desk should have lists continuously updated and not look up google as this information was wrong and a disaster. Big reflection of hotel standard 1/10

Staff were amazing all times. We arrived on Christmas day. They looked after us offer dinner opener the bar for guests. The lobby and bar are amazing to hang out have a snack and a drink. The restaurant was also really good and morning takeaways coffees were on point.

I love the fact that the hotel tries to go green and help the environment but if I chose not to have my towels changed and room tidied up, we would not have also the rubbish collected and change of glasses cups. Very small observation and perhaps can be improved.

Lovely position lovely and quite would stay again

Booked a room when I got there I thought I had booked an apartment so next day I changed to an apartment because of changing rooms had been charged an extra $30 for room vacated for next 4 nights. Our accommodation ended up over $1700 for 5 nights. Which ended up quite expensive.

Location, very easy to get around Hobart city, very central. Room service was excellent. When we called reception for anything it was brought up to the room in a timely fashion and the staff were always very pleasant.

cutlery/crockery supply. Only one dinner plate. No kitchen knife to cut our rolls and cheese (for our lunches for a cruise for the next day). But any time we called reception our request was speedily attended to.

Great location for restaurants, cafe’s and shops and walk to dock area. Friendly staff throughout. Great King Room, very comfortable bed, very clean and well serviced every day. Lounge area very relaxing with Cascade bar access for snacks and drinks. Skybus stop outside hotel if use that service.

Location, size of the room, clean comfy, functional. Modern and well functioning bathroom. Didn't get noise, plenty of window air. Small gym that serves its purpose. Price was good for location. Staff were nice.

Parking, a bit scarce. Was a bit tight when trying to pass another car, and some guests were parked the 2 days on the side at ground level making it difficult to park and get out there when there were no other spots. This was a bit much and should've been managed by the hotel. I didn't want to be too harsh about it but i only dropped 1 point.
