Staying at Hobart Hideaway Pods felt like a magical escape – central to Hobart yet completely immersed in nature. Tanya, the host, was incredibly warm and welcoming. Watching the wildlife from the pod was unforgettable: playful pademelons, vibrant birdlife, flitting butterflies, and buzzing bees. The goats added a charming touch, captivating us for hours. We loved the cozy warmth of the eco-cabins and the breathtaking views.

Gorgeous accommodation. Very cosy and comfortable and in a stunning open bush setting. It felt very relaxing and like our own little get away. Hideaway is a great description as it does feel like you could curl up as this place with a cuppa and a book and hide from the world for hours! Also Tanya, the host, was very friendly and helpful upon our arrival. Couldn't recommend more!

Only thing was there could have been fly screens on one of the doors so you could open a door up for ventilation without flies coming in.

We loved everything about this place. I was feeling really unwell after a long flight from overseas and after trying to check into another place we'd booked (via Booking.com) where the host was unavailable when we arrived, we were lucky enough to find a vacancy at the Hobart Hideaway Pods. What a hidden gem! Tanya, our host was a delight and couldn't be more helpful. Every need is catered for and the view over the paddocks and distant water is breathtaking. The garden is beautiful and the whole place is an obvious labour of love. We hope to return again.

Tanya’s place is a slice of heaven! The view, the wildlife, the sunrise, the stars at night, it’s truly such a beautiful place to rest and recoup. Bed is super comfy and the shower stays warm. It’s only 15 minutes from Hobart CBD (a few minutes more with peak hour traffic), but trust me when I say, you probably won’t want to leave! Maybe just for food haha. Overall, Tanya and the family truly put so much thought and care into these eco-friendly pods. Not to mention, she’s an absolutely lovely soul. Thank you for the best experience, Tanya! Oh, and there’s a mini fridge, toaster and microwave but definitely should store some food in the fridge as there’s no cooktop. Can’t wait to come back! 🙌🏼

A tranquil little sanctuary 15mns from Hobart with breathtaking views immaculate green fields stunning native gardens and cute wildlife ...We stayed in the *Pea-Pod* which was modern cosy spotless well equipped with lots of extra little touches to make you feel at home...Tanya the host was so warm & welcoming n had the heater on in our pod for our late arrival as well as a delectable Caramel Slice awaiting us ...We will definately be back...

This was a beautiful last stop on our girls' trip! The vanilla pod was beautiful, and the two single-bed configuration was comfortable. We enjoyed drinking wine and watching all of the Padmelons and bunnies in the yard. We brought leftovers to heat in the microwave, so had everything we needed for a night in. The composting toilet was the nicest I'd ever seen - it felt like a real bathroom, and there was no smell at all! Check-in was easy, and Tanya was a friendly and gracious host! It is an easy 30-minute drive to the airport.

My second stay - even better than the 10/10 first one. Lovely and warm welcome with heating turned on and a little homemade sweet for our arrival meant the place felt like home from the start. Impeccably clean, built with the environment in mind, acknowledges the Traditional Owners. Owners went out of their way to do a massive favour and store a bag a few days in advance. absolute first choice to stay again. Thank you!!

The Vanilla Pod was absolutely incredible. Even before we entered the pod, my partner & I were in awe of the surrounds - beautiful gardens, adorable wildlife, and a glorious ocean view. We continued to be blown away as we stepped inside our pod. Tanya & Byran have clearly put a lot of thought, care & effort into this place. We also appreciated how they are environmentally conscious and that the Pod is equipped to be highly eco-friendly.

Absolutely nothing. No complaints whatsoever!

We were really touched by all the little details of the stay and the personal touches that infused the space. The incredible view, space, and ambience of the pod was extremely invigorating and worlds apart from the experience of a hotel room. We also appreciated Tanya and Bryan’s efforts to conserve the environment and to provoke our thoughts about living more minimally. The wildlife popping up all around the beautiful grounds gave us cause to smile everyday.

Nothing that would stop us from recommending. We moved on to a Hobart hotel for the final days of our trip and miss our pod already!

Beautiful views from the vanilla pod. Very quiet and relaxing. Loved seeing various wildlife and hilarious turbo chickens. (Actual name, not made up by me). Tanya was very helpful and friendly. Super cute pod, well maintained and everything needed for our two nights. Decorated well.

Not so much a didn’t like, there wasn’t a dislike, just a comment that possibly a chair for the balcony when the glass doors are shut. (Ie, someone asleep inside and someone who is a super early bird).
