Room 9 was downstairs around the side with private entrance. It was a huge room, warm and cosy, freshly painted and private bathroom looked brand new. There was a fridge, kettle and microwave, no toaster. No view, which probably accounts for the reasonable price. Bed was comfy, dining chairs not so comfy but lounge chairs were fine. Fresh towels and room serviced daily. Battery Point is an historic neighbourhood, so great to walk around and only 15 minute stroll to heart of Salamanca.

We really enjoyed our stay at Battery Point Manor. Our room (from memory, I think it was room 6) had a lovely view over the River Derwent. The room was bright, very quiet and spacious. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the shower was great. The staff were lovely and the room was made up every day.

The room could do with an extra power point to charge our various devices, but that was only a tiny issue. We unplugged the kettle and then there enough.

Incredible location with a view of the harbour from nearby. Historic building and much larger room than expected. A small fridge and facilities within the room to make a cup of tea. Easy check in process. A 10 minute walk to Salamanca Place through the beautiful historic streets of Battery Point. Just 5 minutes to the Battery Point High street with some options for breakfast as well as local historic hotels/restaurants.

I was very happy with everything for the price point. Whilst a few things were perhaps a little dated, I consciously made the choice of price point over high end luxury and think this is excellent value for money. Highly recommend and I would stay here again

We were in Room 5 for 2 nights which is huge, lovely view our to sea. As the bed is tucked into an alcove you dont have side tables but can live with that. Everything clean and easy to get to restaurants and harbour. The next 2 nights we moved to Room 4 as this room wasnt available. It was smaller but still large compared to other hotels. Only issue there was that Room 3's bathroom has a noisy fan which comes on with the light and the guest would leave it on during the night. It was against the bed wall. Can recommend the Indian and Italian down the road but you must book or you miss out.

The Wifi wasnt very good, dropped out a lot.

The check in was easy. We loved the room and the view. Loved the location and history of the property. Its one of our favourites.

Considering the higher price now, there are a few things that need updating like the old saggy lounge and some painting and repairs needed. These would be easy to do for minimal cost.

Nice size room, comfy bed, close to the wharf area, very quiet residential neighborhood. Low price compared to other places in Hobart.

I was concerned about the door lock; seemed insubstantial, especially considering the private entrance is on the ground floor, and the fact that there was no safe in the room. (I'm assuming that the neighborhood is safe.) Also, being on street level, the curtains needed to be closed to have any privacy, and that made the room dark and uninviting. But at the price, that was a trade off.

Old property with plenty of character and charm. Nice big room with everything I needed.

Didnt really matter but I only saw the staff once. No reception. Would have liked an information compendium in the room and a good local map correctly showing supermarket as I walked miles not to find one following map provided in room. Instructions for checkout would have been good.

The location was fantastic, easy walking to restaurants and cafes etc. It is a beautiful historic building and location. Staff were lovely, and the room was serviced daily. Lovely views even from the lounge/dining area. It is very quiet and peaceful.

The room for the single bed was not suitable for my companion. You had to go in and out through their room as a thoroughfare. It was between rooms, so we moved the bed into the lounge area. It was an easy fix. However, if travelling with a small child, it would have been ideal.

Fantastic location, an easy walk to central Hobart and the marina and plenty of local restaurants and cafes nearby. On-site parking very convenient.

Some of the facilities are a little dated, in particular the bathroom could use an update. However everything was functional and comfortable.

We stayed 2 nights in room 5 which is huge and wonderful views across the sea. We saw the yachts and rowers on Sunday. We then had 2 nights in room 4 which doesn't have a view. Both rooms have the shower over the bath so not good if elderly. Room 3 has its bathroom against room 4 wall so the fan comes on with the light and was left on all night which was very annoying. Otherwise very central to eating areas and down town. Recommend the Indian and pub. Must book for the Italian as was booked out for 2 nights.
