Staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful. Location is close to Southern Cross so easily accessible to transport and amenities, including the Skybus terminal. Room is comfortable and modern, views of the city were pleasant. Indoor pool was much appreciated by our son. Breakfast was ample and varied, and the view from the top floor is a fantastic way to begin each day. Didn't make use of the gym however it adequate for a workout away from home.

Room was comfortable however not overly spacious - more of a launchpad for adventures and then to recover, rather than a place to settle in and relax for an extended period of time. Ideal for 2-3 nights.

The Hyatt Centric is the cooler younger sibling of the Hyatt properties. It's fresh and airy with a more minimalistic aesthetic. The rooms have floorboards which give them a nice fresh feel, the bench which functions as a sheet and luggage rack is a great use of space. The bathroom is well-appointed, with a decent sized shower and solid water pressure. The hand-held shower head feature wins over a rain show head everytime for sure. Bathroom products and amenities are from Mr Smith and smell great. The lobby area offers a nice area to sit and chill away from the room and there is also a barista serving up coffees. Located between Flinders Street and Flinders Lane, it's about 200m from Southern Cross Station and the tram line is about 100m from the hotel.

Mobile service pretty poor in the hotel (barely one bar of service) but it does offer wifi. There's no sundries available for purchase in the lobby or vending machines so no late night snacks or drinks available unless bought off-site.

We loved the location of the property. The happy hours at the restaurant with magnificent views absolutely made our day. Comfy beds.

We were very disappointed with the breakfast on Sunday. There was a surcharge for Sunday but half the things that I was expecting at a buffet breakfast were missing. No hash browns or mushrooms. The coffee was terrible. Very basic for the price. We were there to celebrate my son’s birthday and the hotel made no effort to make it special. Not even a note saying Happy birthday, but what we did find in the room was a note for perhaps the previous guest (for Ms Emma) which suggests the room wasn’t inspected before we checked in.

The whole experience from entrance to exit was amazing. Great layout and even better vibe. The hotel has an incredible modern atmosphere but the finishes and decor has a great element of traditionalism. My partner and I really enjoyed the room and the breakfast was great.

Whilst the whole hotel was Incredible there were 2 things we would have liked to be a little different. When we booked initially through booking.com the room description showed facility availability shower or bath, we were a little dissappointed to find out that we would have had to pay an extra $200 per night to upgrade to a room with a bath. The other small thing we weren't fans of was the scrambled eggs in the buffet, they tasted very powdered. Everything else was perfect.

The room was a good size and clean with a comfy bed. Room service cheese platter was great. I didn't use the pool but it looked really nice and was a decent size. The restaurant/bar up on the 25th floor had great views. The buffet breakfast was lovely but as expected. Customer service was helpful and friendly. Location is not in the hustle and bustle of the city but very close to Southern Cross Station, Marvel Stadium, Exhibition Centre (MCEC), aquarium and Crown. Subsidised parking a short 5 min walk away. Plenty of transport options close by.

The front entrance was a little difficult to find, it wasn't obviously an entrance, but this is a very minor complaint. Nothing else.

Location is excellent, very near to the station which the Airport city bus starts and terminates at. Just a 5 min walk to hotel no need for a taxi from the station. Trams run very close to hotel for access to the city and just a 5 min walk to the river where you can find restaurants, walkways etc. Hotel itself was very modern, rooms are a good size with a huge comfortable bed. We were not troubled by any noise from other rooms or the corridors as you often get in hotels. We had breakfast at the hotel which was good value, plenty of choice to cater for all . We ate one evening in the hotel restaurant, as it was on 25 floor we had great views of the city at night and a great meal too. We found the restaurant prices to be no more expensive than local restaurants too. The staff were very helpful and polite, always making us feel comfortable. I used the pool too, which was lovely and warm. We would definitely use the hotel again should we revisit Melbourne.

All info on room/hotel is via an app. Personally,I would still like a paper copy of this.

The staff were excellent and very approachable and friendly. Modern and moody design good. Loved the breakfast so well done. Taylor Swift music and display appreciated. Great location.

Lacked spa and sauna facilities which we really wanted, especially a sauna. We did try the pool but it was a bit cold for us. If they had a sauna then we would have enjoyed the pool more though it was a beautiful pool we only used it once because of that. Also the doors made a loud bang when people left their room which reverberated around the corridor which we heard from inside. That might be an easy fix??

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Commom spaces are beautiful, as were the rooms - modern and clean. Location was great! Very convenient for Southern Cross and the bridge across to the promenade. Breakfast options are fantastic (shrink-flation hit since my last stay, however cannot fault freshness or quality). High recommend.

The only negative was it was quite noisy when housekeeping started in rooms nearby already checked out in the morning. Other than doors closing/ cleaning, the rooms are quite soundproof.

The hotel is chic, new, and well designed. Room is spacious and comfortable. Location is convenient as well.

We stayed 5 nights. One of the day my luggage was opened by probably the housekeeping staff when we were outside. My hubby always closed the luggage and messed the password but when we got back to the hotel, the password was set exactly to 000. Luckily nothing was stolen but this has post a safety issue. The hotel also needs a bit more attention to details in terms of cleaning.

Staff were so attentive and friendly

Came up for breakfast to order a la carte and was conned into getting the buffet instead, which was lacking and very overpriced. The price of the buffet was also not communicated to us once, from when we ate to upon checkout. To find the the price on the bill was a rude shock. We also had an alarm clock that would not turn off, no matter what buttons were pressed, to the point that we had to hand it into reception at 1am to be able to sleep that night.
