Very conveniently located at CBD, can reach major tourist spots at CBD in walkable distance. Facilities are new and clean, with modern cosy design. Staffs at reception are extremely friendly. Still and sparkling water are provided at reception free of charge. Residents can use the glass bottles provided to get unlimited water freely. Has many good cafes and restaurants nearby.

It is an excellent hotel that I will choose again when I come to Melbourne next time.

From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel so welcome like we'd come home. We were delayed travelling from the UK to Melbourne Australia and had a 23 hour journey so complimentary fresh water, hot drinks and lovely staff was so much appreciated thank you. Every single person in this hotel was just exceptional! We've been to hotels all over the world but this was the BEST we've ever had the pleasure of staying in. Right in the heart of the CBD, central business district, with free trams, shopping and the coolest vibe I've ever felt from a city. You'll find everything in walking distance. We had a superior high floor room number 2209 and were treated to the best view of the city on NYE, what a night. We had breakfast with our room and the dining room gives New York vibes with the skyscraper views. You will start off with barister style coffee should you wish and have a choice of continental cheeses and pastries, fruit, toast and full English buffet.....breakfast was just so chilled, I can't bear busy breakfasts but this was perfect, no queuing for anything and very personal feel. The cleanliness of the room was amazing too, crisp white sheets and towels, fridge, tv, and rain shower made the room feel Boutique like. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE! you will not be disappointed and I want to go straight back.

Well appointed, spacious room with a very comfortable king-size bed. Fantastic location in centre of CBD with easy access to public transport links and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful - I forgot my toothpaste and they provided free of charge. I also love that they store your luggage for free after check-out. I highly recommend this hotel and Voco in general. I will 100% be staying here again.

The lifts are a little stange but once you work out the process it's okay A(I had read reviews so was aware of this before my stay). I did have a strange experience with housekeeping, I asked for my room not to be cleaned (left a sign on the door) and when I returned the sign had been removed from my door and not left in the room AND the room had been cleaned. Discussed with concierge at check out. I then received an email confirming I HADN'T opted for a green stay - which wasn't true - the email felt slightly accusatory, which left me a little disappointed, but I think of this as a small glitch in an otherwise perfect stay.

Hate the fact you have to walk through the dinning area to access the pool. Felt rude walking though while in my bathers. Also had a bar staff approach us and ask if we were even staying at the hotel and what was our room number. I found that completely rude. I didn’t know if maybe we didn’t look to part because it was a Friday night but throughout the stay he continued to be on the bar near the pool & Was always rude. Never come out to serve us but would to other people. Would take other people order where ever they were standing but when I come to us we had to come to the till. Wasn’t given the same respect as other guest. Again not to sure if it was because we are young but still not acceptable.

We came for the bathroom with a view and it did not disappoint. The bath itself was deep and comfortable. All in all, it made any other criticisms we had of the hotel inconsequential.

If I had to find a complaint it would have to be the $6 delivery fee for room service. More just amusing though, really. Ought it not just be incorporated into the price of the food? Also the food was very average... This is of no matter really when you're in the middle of the city / have free delivery on ubereats.

Location, styling, comfortable, quiet rooms and very clean

The automatic lift allocation system, doesn’t make it seem as secure, as it bypasses reception. Swiped to enter the lift from ground floor, door opened and person was in the lift, swiped my key and floor, and said to person you haven’t swiped your floor. Person looked at my level and said it was the same as mine. Lift left and I exited on my level with the person behind me. Quickly swiped into my room. Later that night, whilst asleep, someone attempted to enter my room via the door. Could have been a coincidence but it was odd. Room is very secure. However whenever I left my room, my door did not close properly, I am in the habit of always double checking and had to pull it close hard for it to lock.

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, excellent location for shopping, great breakfast and good outlook. Room and bathroom was slightly small. The water on tap is a good idea - but the bottles took a while to refill by hotel staff (they ran out of bottles). Also the sustainability focus is good with product in the bathrooms, but the lotion wasn't pumping and you couldn't fix it yourself. And the pool could be warmer and towels provided outside - you have to walk through the bar to get to the pool terrace. These are minor issues. Stay was great, will come back again.

Very friendly staff, lovely facilities and loved the fact that they had full size shampoo, conditioner and body/hand wash, as opposed to small single use ones. It was also lovely that the hotel offers things like toothbrush, toothpaste, hair comb, shoe shine etc if you forgot yours at home. Very prompt service at all times which was appreciated greatly. Also loved the complimentary water refill station, which also had sparkling water on tap. Location was lovely, being able to walk right into a peaceful laneway rather than a busy street.

Honestly nothing comes to mind! The only thing was that the lifts were a bit confusing to use, but got the hang of it towards the end of the stay :)

I loved this hotel! Really nice decor, looked like the pictures on line. The staff were lovely, especially Sam who checked me in. He was so helpful and they were able to accommodate me earlier. My favorite thing about the hotel is they do not use plastic water bottles, instead you can refill glass bottles at the reception of still or sparkling water and take them to your room. The view from the room was great, and I thought the overall layout and decor was very nice. I didn't use the facilities but they looked very nice. Lights - very simple, one button would turn everything off. The dream. TV - had Chromecast so you could watch Netflix etc..via your phone. USB ports - available on both sides of the bed Clear Bathroom Wall - yes, but has a curtain which will close over it for privacy. Mini Fridge - yes but no snacks, but milk for the coffee. Shampoo & Conditioner - both available, they are ok. But would recommend bringing your own especially for special hair needs. Toiletries - none for environmental reasons so bring your own. Hairdryer - available , better than most, at least had the nozzle. But a typical hotel hair dryer. Iron - available but didn't work.

Very small - but the lifts could be hit and miss of whether they would take you to your floor or not. Myself and a few guests were struggling with this.
