The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. We asked that rooms be close together as we were travelling as a family, they complied with that request in fact we had a joining door which was great. The car park was accessible, it is first come first served but we got a space no problem and it is just around the corner, they gave me a little map it was easy just that you have to go around the one-way system but it toolk two minutes. The room wifi only works when tyou have the big tv switched on, the general hotel wifi was avaiable in most places regradless. Great location, surrounded by bakeries. The centre of the old town just 10-15mins walk away, and up the road about the same distance were many large high street retail shops and restaurants. A great place, botht eh hotel and the city. Would certainly reccomend :)

Everything was good. But breakfest was great with great coffee and waffles. I highly recommend breakfast here. It will be the reason why I will choose Mercure in the future. And comfortable bed

What can be better? The speed with which they answering on messages. When I booked the room I asked if I can have a room on the top floor. I received an answer at 20:58 in the day when I arrived. The answer was "it's possible" And my check-in time was approximately 17. I didn't ask about the top floor at the reception, because I saw on booking.com that everything was booked on this night in the hotel. So, I think it was just impossible when I arrived. My room was on the 4th floor.

The breakfast was amazing with something for everyone's likes. The staff were so helpful and friendly each morning. The room was clean and tidies each day and in itself was very spacious and well decorated. Perfect for a family room. We were very impressed with all the staff and their helpfulness. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone travelling with children. It's also very central and only a short walk to the city centre. The views from our room over the park were beautiful too.

We did react a little to the bedsheets and the detergent they use but I think this is standard for all hotels as they must get them very clean after each use. We also have sensitive skin!

Room Size and bath room was really good and cleaned to high standard! and Sofa bed was almost the size of a double bed! Excellent Breakfast and a very comfy bed to sleep on after a busy day exploring the city.

Car park was not free and even though I requested for a space I was told it is full on the day! I also requested rooms to be next to each other or at least same floor as I had kids with me but that was also not fulfilled which was very disappointing!!

The hotel, room, facilities, far exceeded my expectation. The 'Mercure' as a chain within the UK is very dated, old fashioned with run down facilities and despite the photos for the Mercure in Antwerp looking entirely different, expectations were quite low but the price was reasonable enough to encourage me to book. Very friendly staff, expansive clean rooms with USB adapters, espresso machines with complimentary pods was a lovely way to start the morning, a very comfy bedroom, beautiful modern rainfall shower with the most delightful toiletries which smelt divine - I would advise stocking/having somewhere for guests to purchase them. The interior was very modern and chic and it is in a great location, opposite the park and very close to bars, shops and restaurants. I wish we had booked a breakfast at the Antwerp hotel, it looked lovely but again the poor quality of the UK breakfast's hadn't encouraged me that this would be any better abroad. I can't wait to visit again and hopefully the quality of the UK Mercure will be bought up to standard with the Antwerp Mercure.

Parking was nightmare to find, it does say the garage fits 'small-medium' size cars but given how narrow a garage door is, how tight the turning circle was it was impossible to fit in. We parked on the street for free a few roads up.

The hotel has been beautifully redecorated. Very stylish and cosy. Very good and diverse breakfast. Close to trainstation and to stores and restaurants. Very friendly staff.

There was a lot of noise in the street at night, so we couldn't keep a window open to air the room and had to sleep with air-conditioning, which we personally don't like. When we asked for an extra blanket, that was immediately taken care of. The pillows were not hard enough for us. We're not used to sleep on such thin pillows.

Friendly staffs - both front desk and the bar/restaurant downstairs. Great location - 10 min walk to the zoo and also to the shopping areas Big room that was able to accommodate 2 adults and 3 kids (all under 7) Comfortable stay for the whole family

One of the rooms smelled a little weird. We were not sure what it was, but kind of smelled like smoke. It did not bother us much once we got used to it, but when you leave the room for some time and come back, you can smell it again.

No complains other wise but if you can provide water and some refreshments in the room on complimentary basis.

Breakfast was not included and being a vegetarian, it was not viable to pay with minimum options of food available.

Reception staff were very welcoming. Toiletries (shower gel & lotions) were very nice quality, shower was nice & powerful. Bed and pillows were super comfy. Location is excellent for the station, park and shopping.

I'd have liked more coffee pods. I think in a room for 2 people 2 pods wouldn't be enough.

In one word: luxury. This hotel was far more luxurious than any other we have ever stayed in, in a great location too. The rooms are huge and very comfortable.

In one word: luxury. The hotel was so luxurious that we felt a little out of place, but that is obviously more on us than the hotel. If this kind of hotel is your thing, it won´t be a problem at all.
