The staff were very friendly and helpful answering all our questions. The location was lovely and quiet just a short walk to the Grote Markt and the general tourist areas. Breakfast was a self-service buffet with plenty of variety.

This has nothing to do with the hotel but with you, booking.com. You offered me a taxi service from Brussels airport to the hotel in Bruges. You requested flight number and airport. I gave this information at least 5 times, stating the flight number as EI.630 arriving in Brussels Charleroi airport at 09.40hrs on Monday 10 July. Yet when we arrived and having telephoned a UK number we were told the taxi was at Brussels Ostend airport. I would like to hear from you.

The room, though basic was large and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was also very basic but fine. The staff was cheerful and helpful. Nice big bathroom but no toiletries. The location was quiet and close enough (about an 8 minute walk) to the center. Though there were a few things that I was wary about I would recommend this hotel for families on a budget

It was hot in the room during the day despite 2 small fans that were provided, no phone to reach the reception and no night manager. We got stuck in the lift one time, fortunately it was during the day so help was available quickly, I shudder to think what would we do if it was after 8 pm when the staff left for the day.

Lovely updates but still retains old European charm. Our room was street/ canal facing and had huge windows that opened. The birds in Bruge in early June sounded lovely The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever had. We had one of the family rooms which was so open and comfortable we contemplated adding on an extra night. Make sure you rent bikes. The hotel does offer them too. Rent bikes and ride around the city and ride outside of the center. It’s a lovely city beyond the tourist center.

There was some construction which some people complained about on the street. But it was only during the day and didn’t bother us.

When checking in, the receptionist kindly upgraded my room to a large double bed facing the canals. Large room, with kettle/coffee machine and the necessary bottle openers for when staying in Belgium.

The room had a rather strange smell to it, which is perhaps due to the proximity of the building to the canals. Don't recall seeing a fridge in the room in case you wanted to keep your beers extra cold. I did not however search for it properly so there may have been one.

Excellent location, with the Markt and main sites of Brugge being just a short 5 minute stroll away. The room was spotless and spacious with a lovely view over the canal. The beds were the so comfy and we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was good value for money. The staff were amazing, this is an independent hotel and a great place to stay. We would always stay here in the future.

The hotel's location was excellent for a short walk into the old centre of the city. A modern hotel with very good facilities in the rooms. the bed was extra comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful giving directions and information regarding points of interest in the city. Car parking is available on the nearby roads but is more expensive than the purpose built car parks. The breakfast was very good offering a full range of foods, both hot and cold. We would recommend staying at the hotel when visiting Brugge and will do so again.

Cannot think of anything we didn't like.

Room was very comfortable but a little hot at night. No aircon and theres s heat spell. Didn't have the bfast. They charged for coffee which was a little penny-ante everything was served with a genuine smile. The after hours front door unlocking system is glitchy and 2 times I had to call an emergency number to get in. Also, the elevator lacks safety features and smells like a locker room. Walls were a little thin (I’m jealous of the couple next-door…) Having said all that, I definitely stay here again.

See above.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had booked the quadruple family room, but this was suddenly unavailable. The hotel contacted me in advance and explained the situation and they honoured the booking, putting us in adjacent rooms instead, even going as far as making one up as a double and the other as a twin. Very good of them. The hotel is close enough to the action, but in a quiet residential area, that still looks stunning. Staff were amiable, and we felt we were left to get on with our exploration ourselves.

Nothing of note really. The main hotel door locks at 7:30pm and you use a code to access it - this wasn't a problem for us, in fact, it is a good security feature - but we did overhear some other guests expressing concern about it. Breakfast, which we didn't have in the end, seemed expensive (€16).

The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and modern. Everything was perfect. It is very close to Markt Square. You can take amazing photos on the bridge just in front of the hotel. I can say that around the hotel is just better than the crowded city center, it is very calm and quiet place. The staff was very helpful and smiling, they kept our luggage even after check out. It was a perfect experience for me and my wife to stay at this beautiful hotel. See you next time!

The hotel is in a great position, about 5 minutes walk from the main square, where you can find an array of restaurants and shops. Due to its close location, you don't need to stay out all day to see different attractions, but you can go back and forth from your room, if you're willing to walk a lot obviously. The room was clean during the entire stay. It's very basic in furniture, no headboard, no wardrobe but a rail with a few hangers, no desk/table but just a board/shelf mounted on the wall with few cups, glasses, tea, coffee and a water kettle sitting on top. Not a problem at all for me as I like it simple. I guess more premium rooms are differently decorated.

Breakfast not included in the price of the room but bookable separately
