Everything - there was nothing we didn't like. Located just 3 mins away from the main square where the Belfry is, so extremely central, but at the same time a super quiet area, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay at. The room - perfect! Most comfortable bed we've slept on in a while, super cosy and with everything we needed. There is a lovely kitchen/dining room area downstairs that you can use to make your own breakfast or any other meal, really well equipped. Laurence is the perfect host, so lovely and courteous, excellent hospitality and communication at all times. Perfect for solo travelers, couples and even family friendly. Honestly this is the place if you stay in Bruges! We loved it and will come back for sure! :)

We had a lovely stay in the first floor room at B&B Calis. Excellent location for exploring Bruges. Situated on a side street very near Grote Markt. Carrefour supermarket nearby for essentials. Good sized room with drawers/hangers for clothes. Great to have a small fridge, chilled water and free tea/coffee pods provided. Comfortable bed and good shower. Laurence was a friendly and helpful host. Communication before and during stay was good.

Not dislikes but bathroom is compact and as others have said stairs are narrow as to be expected in an old Bruges house.

What an absolutely lovely place to stay in Bruges. The hosts are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. This B&B is sooooooo close to everything you must see in Bruges. Everything you need is in walking distance. Some of the best restaurants, chocolate shops, and also the Market Square are 4 mins away on foot. The bed was comfy, the bathroom had nice warm water, the Internet was fast, and the other amenities offered made us feel like home. We did not partake in the breakfast offered as we were out the door in the mornings on photography excursions so I can't weigh in on how the breakfast is. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in Bruges.

The property is in a fantastic location, just off the main square, close to restaurants and bars. Room is clean light and airy with downstairs kitchen an added bonus. The great thing about this property are the owners Laurence and Daniel. They checked in on us and gave us great recommendations for sightseeing, bars and dining. They also went out of their way to help my wife who needed medical attention. Very are very grateful for their support.

Laurence was a great host. She was very communicative from the moment i booked before Christmas 2022, to the actual day of travel in September 2023. She advised me the best place to park being in the Station car park, then get free tickets to ride the number 1 or 2 bus into the city. Left the car from friday until monday and it only cost £15. She was super friendly on arrival showing us around the downstairs and then the room itself. Nothing seemed too much trouble for her. She gave us her mobile number and told us to whatsapp with any questions throughout the weekend. I did that an hour later when i realsied i had forgotten our travel plug. She left one outside out door. The location is perfect, it's just a few minuted walk from the market place, its across the street from the City Hall Square, and is on a quiet side street, so not too much vehicular traffic. We really loved out stay here and will definitely recommend Bruges, and Calis to everyone.

I cannot think of anything, and it would be iunfair to come up with something trivial.

This is really nice accomodation and could not be more central, only one block away from the centre square (Grote Markt). We had the top room which has a good size living area, spacious bathroom and bonus loft (up a ladder) with views towards the bell tower.The bed was a very big KS, hot water was good, as was the wifi and TV (inc some UK channels). Tea & coffee was supplied inc a pod coffee maker and there was a small fridge. The owner was incredibly helpful, ordering us a taxi on the last day so we could easily get to the station with our big bags and then helped us carry them down the flights of stairs. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place as a comfortable, central base for a few nights in Bruges.

One word of warning - like most accom in the Benelux countries, there are many narrow, steep steps to navigate to get to your room (and up to the loft if you choose that room). You need to be fit and steady on your feet to stay. This isn’t a criticism - it’s just a word of advice to those who may have knee issues!

Excellent central location. Very comfortable room. Friendly welcome. It was nice to be told that I could use the kitchen and dining room downstairs. I appreciated a desk in the room. Able to leave luggage after checkout.

It wasn't a problem but stairs are narrow – a feature of these houses – it wouldn't suit anyone with mobility issues. The room might have felt a little small for two for more than one night – really only room for one chair – perfect for the solo traveller.

The hotel is located right in the center, a couple of minutes walk to the main sightseeings and 20 minute walk to the station. The room is beautiful, there are many amenities such as a kettle, glasses, water, cookies. Very nice and cheerful hostess.

The only negative is not very pleasant smell from the sink and from the towels (but my partner didn't smell it so maybe it will be okay for other people)

Room was really nice m. Situated in a perfect location in the heart of Bruges, our host greeted us and welcomed us into their home, showing us the shared facilities as well as our private room. Enough space for a couple and our room had a loft used for reading and coffee etc

Not a major issue but something to consider if you have heavy luggage, that you may find yourself on level 2 meaning the ascent with your luggage can be a little tight. Not an issue overall

Great location on a quieter street close to Grote Markt. Owner very nice and helpful Coffee, tea, and bottled water in room Nice bathroom with large shower, and plenty of hot water.

2nd floor unit not a good choice for people with mobility issues. Lots of stairs.
