Great hotel! After an initial mix-up with the rooms on check-in, we were quickly shown to our correct room, which was superb! The room was much bigger than expected, with an enormous fireplace and large bathroom. The bed was huge and very comfortable. I often struggle with hotel pillows but the bedding was great. The bathroom was long but not narrow, with plenty of space. The location was excellent; just a couple of minutes' walk from the Grote Markt. I'd definitely stay here again when I return to Brugge.

The door to the room had to be pushed firmly in order to close it fully. When we woke in the morning after our first night we noticed that the door was ajar as we obviously hadn't pushed it hard enough for the door to catch fully. Once we noticed the problem, we made sure to shut the door properly, but we were conscious that we were almost slamming the door to shut it, which would possibly have been heard by other guests.

Everything! The lady who I assume is the owner goes above and beyond for her guests. She was absolutely brilliant (so were all the staff). We've just completed a trip of parts of Europe and have stayed in many hotels, and this was by far the best of the whole trip. Would recommend this hotel to anybody! The room was a nice size, and the bathroom was very roomy. It was very clean and it had the extra touches. It was in a great location, we did have trouble sleeping the first night due to loud music from a nearby place but the second night was very quiet and this was a weekend so it may have just been a one off. Have read that others had to stay upstairs with a spiral staircase, but luckily, we had the ground floor, so we didn't have that issue. We felt very welcome and would definitely stay here again.

Couldn't list a single fault.

Quirky, great decor, interesting, fabulous location & good price. Friendly staff. Bike store. Good breakfasts. Safe.

There wasn’t anything I would describe as not liking about the property but my constructive criticism would be that the room, although clean on the whole needed a new toilet as it looked beyond getting to the level of clean I would like & the basins (inside the overflows) were a bit black. There was thick dust on the tops of the lights over the basin in the bathroom & the window didn’t shut in the bathroom. Our preference is also two pillows each as standard ( we asked for 2 additional pillows and got them promptly, thank you). I think the bed could do with a headboard, the pillows slip down the back in the night. where it’s not got one.

Great location and very conveniently located near the central market. Room and bathroom was very spacious and well kept with an air conditioner included. Breakfast was fairly good and fresh every morning. The owners/staff are pleasant people and helpful in providing us with a tourist map as soon as we checked in.

Stairs were quite steep for our comfort, perhaps this being down to an older property. Few mosquitoes were present in the room, which disturbed our sleep occasionally even though we never opened the windows. Would have been good if they could manage this by regular spraying of the rooms or installing some electrical insect repellants.

This hotel is a 3 minute walk from belfort center. It is a prime location which is what you're really paying for. The front desk help was so nice and very helpful. Parking is extra and you have to drive around the block to get there. We had a breathtaking view from our room. While our room was MASSIVE, it wasn't decorated or homey feeling. It felt more like a dungeon because of the dark color and lack of decor. However, the room was rich with history and you could feel that. The simplicity of the room wasn't a problem because we were barely in the room anyway, but i note that fir ithers whi may be expecting more. Our room had a king bed and an additional twin bed in it. The bathroom was large and had everything we needed. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and they had a quaint dining area. Considering the location and size, the price was top notch! The hotel was gorgeous and worth staying at. Overall, it was a great stay and we would stay here again! Thank you for your hospitality!

A nice cosy hotel in an old building. For our first visit in Bruges, it was perfect. Felt safe, main door closing in the evening and opening via card. Good value for the money. Breakfast was good, eggs made on demand, good coffee, fresh baked pastry and bread. Really enjoyed it. The room was spacious, felt a bit "old". It may add to the charm of Bruges, for people who want a full experience. Bed was ok, same the pillows, nothing to complain or praise here. Hosts were great, both at check-in and breakfast. Thank you for your hospitality.

There are small improvements that could be done. Bathroom, for example, had a tub, with a dripping faucet. But really, I am just being picky here. Nothing major to complain. I am sure everything could have been solved if we asked for help.

A 5 minute walk to Markt, the hotel is ideally placed for Bars, Restaurants, Museums, Brewery and shops. It is a twenty minute walk from Bruges railway station. Which isn't to far if you fancy a stroll. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble for them to help you. The breakfast was very nice, a lot of choice for your average European or people from further afield. I'd just like to say a big thank you to all the staff that made me feel so welcome and in particular the lady who done the breakfast, first thing in the morning. Sorry I didn't get the opportunity to say goodbye, you were all very busy with the breakfasts.

Quirky but homely, perfect location, very friendly owners. Felt like climbing the Belfry to get to the room up a wooden spiral staircase but this was no trouble, if a little dark and gloomy. The room was a good size and perfect for myself and my two tweenagers to enjoy for the night. Less than 5 minute stroll into town and even a parking space in a hidden garage if you are lucky.

Being picky but the central heating plumbing noise was irritating. I worked out at 5am after it kicked in, to turn all the radiators off and it eliminated the noise.

We stayed in the room 15 for 4 people, it was a lovely room Great for 4 adults one double and two singles. The stairs were steep, there is no lift but they were not a problem for us, the room was clean and tidy, with towels changed daily. The staff were polite and very welcoming. The breakfast was a continental breakfast with croissants, bread, meats, fruit, yoghurt, juices with a choice of eggs which was a nice touch. We really enjoyed our stay here. When we come back to Brugge we will definitely stay here again

Excellent location in the city center, very clean, large room, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast.

Some strange noises at night coming from the ceiling, even if nobody was accomodated upstairs - cracking wood probably, as the building was old ( like all the others in the historical city center) but a bit creepy in the middle of the night.
