Everything! Room was beautiful, spacious and neatly decorated. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious and of excelent taste. The host was lovely, very careful and attentive to every single detail and always worried if everything was ok with us. It was one of our best stays.

Nothing.

The host was attentive and the service was excellent. The amenities were excellent and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was of the best quality with a good selection; host again on hand. The location was ideal. Literally a stones throw away from the main square, but our stay was not disturbed by noise. We will definitely be going back with family in tow. Bruges was very picturesque.

There is nothing that we can think of that we did not like. No changes would have improved our stay; It was exceptional. We will definitely be returning.

EVERYTHING! This was one of the most amazing stays at a B&B ever! The owner was so friendly and helpful and super informative about the history of the old trading house and Bruges! The breakfast was fantastic, champagne included! So much attention to detail in every little thing. The check-in process was super easy. We arrived late and got in and to our room with no problem. We stayed in the Noisette room at the top with the loft. The restoration of the original beams from the 1500's is incredible, and the history of this home being a Trading house. The actual "cave" where trade came in and out has been restored! The B&B and Brugges is a beautiful place! Highly recommend!

Nothing. Everything was exceptional. Just to let you know, access to the rooms is via a spiral staircase so you will need to carry your luggage. Pack light! :)

I’m conflicted writing this review because part of me does not want to share and let others know about the special experience you will get if you stay at B&B l’historie de l’éclair! The B&B has been beautifully renovated by the owners and the quality of the finish is top notch in every room (bedroom, lounge area and breakfast room). We stayed in the Noisette room which is a family room - it was spacious and also very cosy due to the furnishings and the general layout. The lounge area where you can relax and have a glass of your favourite ‘tipple’ is really relaxing, with background music playing to keep the ambiance perfect for chilling out! The breakfast room was decorated for Christmas so was even more special, and the breakfast served is continental and delicious. However the real magic of this place is the way Annick and her husband look after their guests. From the moment you book through until your arrival Annick is on hand to help you prepare for your arrival, and then when you’re at their place they go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Last but not least Annick will spend time if you want her to, explaining the history and legend of their beautiful B&B. We’ve been visiting Brugge for 24 years staying in many nice hotels in the city, our visit to B&B l’historie de l’éclair is right at the top for the experience and memories created.

This stunning 800-year-old building exudes charm and history. The owner's evident care for their property shines through in the immaculate interiors and quality products provided for guests. Check-in and check-out processes are effortlessly smooth. Homemade breakfast and the conversation with Annick, the property owner is heart warming. Nestled in the heart of the city center, it offers unparalleled convenience for exploring the vibrant surroundings.

Nothing.

B&B l'histoire de l'éclair exceeds our expectation. We received a message from Annick saying that our room is ready. She was very friendly and helped us with everything. She is very kind to show the hidden places of the lovely building and we felt very welcomed. Breakfast is amazing, one of the best breakfast we had, breads were fantastic. Rooms are very clean, location is the heart of the Brugge and rooms are very quite. If you are travelling by car, it takes 10 minutes by walking to the nearest car parking and it is 18 euro per day. We travelled with our two dogs and it was all good. Highly recommended!

There is nothing I didn't like about this place.

It is a large B&B, but very quaint and has a very homey feel. The place is in the center of the city so you can arrive anywhere quickly via walking. Annick was an amazing host giving us a great many details about the history of Bruges and her B&B. We stayed in the Pistache room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was sizable. If we are able to visit Bruges again, would stay here in a heartbeat. Thank you, Annick!

Loved everything.

Great communication before our visit and a lovely greeting when we arrived. Safe easy access storage for the bikes. The street was easily reached on bicycle, using the cycle routes through the city. We were treated to a very informative history of the city and given advice on places worth visiting and places to eat. There is a street with a range of restaurants about 5 minutes walk away. Easy access to the main area of the city and loads of very interesting historic buildings. The house is gorgeous. Our room was extremely spacious, comfortable and overlooking the garden, very quiet. The fridge with breakfast items and a morning delivery of fresh bread and croissants was the icing on the cake. Would definitely plan to stay here in the future. We were made aware of the fact the shower whilst dedicated to your room was not ensuite before we arrived. We did not find any problem with this as bathrobes were provided and it was just across the corridor. For us it was nicer than making the room smaller to install an en suite facility

This is one of the best places we've stayed at. Everything here is wonderful: the hotel itself, the location, the delicious breakfasts, and of course, Annick and her team. This building has a history that the hotel staff will be happy to share with you. I'm glad we chose to stay at this hotel! Highly recommend! You will be delighted!

No complaints at all! Everything is wonderful at this hotel!

Absolutely beautiful room. Completely soundproofed despite it being so near the centre of everything. A stunning renovation of the entire property - totally spotless and every little detail thought of. Such a friendly host, so flexible and so easy to contact to ask any questions. Breakfast is perfect, everything you could want. We had the most wonderful stay and would recommend it to any couple travelling to Bruges. So much better than a hotel!

Nothing.
