Hotel is in a prime location on main square and within easy reach of everything. We ate at the hotel one evening and good a nice meal. We were in a standard double room that was fine for 2 of us it was basic but ok for 3 nights. The beds were comfortable and towels changed every day. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially the 2 guys at breakfast who were good fun and helpful.

The flooring in our room was very shabby and really ends replacing especially in the bathroom. When we arrived the towels we had were very shabby and should have been thrown out, however on subsequent days they were ok. Walls very thin and could be noisy at times with talking from other guests in adjoining rooms.

Location was outstanding and the breakfast offered an enormous variety and delicious foods. Indoor and outdoor dining made it easy to be comfortable rain or shine. Great coffee, too. You pay for breakfast but it is well worth it since the town's other morning eating & coffee options don't open till 10:30, except for a Duncans Donut store, which didn't open till 8 am!

It is a rather minor but odd "issue." There is no "reception" area. You enter the large restaurant and have to find the 1 waiter who is in charge of the check in. Then he showed us the stairs to the side of the dining area. Other than that, all went very well.

Location is spectacular. Just in front of the main square. You go out of the hotel, and you are ready to enjoy the medieval city. The bathroom was quite comfortable and modern. The shower was particularly enjoyable. The breakfast was very good and with many choices (both sweet and salty) to suit different tastes and preferences. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and attentive.

Bear in mind that the hotel is also a restaurant; actually the restaurant is more noticeable than the hotel. You cannot tell right away, from outside, that it's a hotel. In that sense, when we just arrived, we felt a bit unsure on whether that was our hotel. Nevertheless, as soon as we entered and asked, the staff was visibly prepared for our arrival and everything went smooth. Our double bed was actually two single beds joined together, which is fine for us. The problem is that the mattress of one of them was already sinking too much. The window of our assigned room was in the bathroom. Therefore, when closing the bathroom, we didn't have any window from the bed area itself.

Amazing location and incredible view of the Markt Square. The breakfast was great - it included eggs, bacon, meats, cheeses, fruit, breads, and cereals. It was a hot summer day, and there was a fan that helped keep us cooler. The windows were surprisingly soundproof. We were concerned about noise, especially on a summer weekend, but the room was fairly quiet. People were playing the guitar and singing until midnight, and we slept fine. I still recommend earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The room was clean, and bathroom was good sized. It appeared recently remodeled.

Everything was great. It exceeded our expectations.

The location is superb. The lodging is a few upstairs rooms above one of those typical central square touristy restaurants (we didn't try their food so can't comment on that-- but you have to walk past all the diners to enter the building/lodging). The staff was very pleasant and the room was spacious enough, especially the bathroom.

There was a little bit of noise from other hotel guests in hallway and through walls, but not too bad. Didn't love having to walk past crowded restaurant tables to enter hotel lodging but can't beat such a great price + location so it's worth it.

Hotel Central in Bruges is an excellent choice for a stay in the charming city. The hotel has an excellent feeling as soon as you walk in, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The good position of the hotel is perfect for exploring all that Bruges has to offer - it's just a short walk to the main square and many of the city's top attractions. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. But the real standout of my stay was the excellent breakfast - there was a great variety of options to choose from, and everything was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend Hotel Central for your next visit to Bruges.

This hotel has an excellent location in Bruges main square just above a restaurant so everything was short walking distance. They offer luggage storage when you arrive early. We booked the standard double market view room and the view was awesome. We enjoyed looking over the square at different times of day. Room was very spacious and bathroom was great. Breakfast included had great variety and everything was fresh. Great value for price.

Luggage storage room seems to be where people go to smoke. Thankfully no smell made it in our bags.

Location was wonderful and close to all amenities. Very friendly staff on check in and check out

We stayed on the first floor in room 10. The banging from the room above us was excessive both mornings from around 6.30-7am We were then up for the day. If I could stay again I would request a room on the top floor Also, when checking out we were charged €16 for 2 nights stay/ 2 adults but was led to believe it was €3 person/night so confused why we paid more My sister stayed alone and was charged $16 on her own so makes even less sense

Let’s start with the staff first…. absolutely amazing! everyone we spoke with, which was probably around 8 people. so nice and helpful, and funny if you give them a chance. The rooms were basic, but very functional, comfortable beds, and clean. We stayed in room #9, with a great view of the market; this is a great room/view, especially during Christmas markets. The breakfast is very good, and we ate dinner here as well, and very awesome; the chicken filet is great! And the location is best in town!!! I will stay here again when we come back; even without elevators. :)

nothing we didn’t like. we knew no elevator, but the staff offered to bring our bags upstairs.

True to the name, this hotel really is central! Which means super easy to find (no matter how many Belgian beers you've had), and many of the attractions are right in front of you, as well as many tours starting here too. Despite being right on the square, we didn't ever have a problem with the noise, as the windows were all fully glazed. Breakfast was lovely, and the staff were fab.

The floor isn't quite carpet, it's an easy clean material, so it wasn't that comfy on your feet. There were also mosquito screens on 2/3 windows, but despite us working out we definitely shouldn't open the third window, we still found mosquitos were somehow getting in - though this is easily fixed with some insect repellent to hand. My biggest hang up was the quality of the towels, they were clearly dried out from the amount of use, and we often had ones that were stained. However they were changed regularly, and were still clean and sanitary, just a bit rough and not nice to look at.
