The public rooms are beautiful, and the location is good. The bed is very comfortable and the bed linens wonderful.
The rooms were very small for 252 euros a night. The light switch at the door, one of the few outlets in the room, and the shower door were all broken. They is not an outlet in the bathroom for a curling iron or hot rollers, and no mirror at the desk where there was an outlet. They did bring a mirror to prop up so my wife could see to curl her hair. The first was fixed immediately, and they brought an outlet extender, so they tried to resolve the problems. The view was ugly and of a roof. Ugh!

Stunning building and perfect holiday in Brugges location. Easy to drive to, park, and right in the centre pedestrianised area, at the heart of restaurants, shops, and attractions in Brugge. The staff are extremely helpful, polite, and all from reception to serving and room servicing were spot on! Would highly recommend as a little treat to yourselves in an upmarket setting without the pomp! The car park below the hotel is easily accessible and has plenty of EV accessible parking spaces. The hotel and location are a great base to explore further afield, close to the sea and beaches within 20 to 30 kms, Brussels within the hour. We will be back as a quick and pleasant treat to ourselves and a proper little rest button with a top city break. The hotel makes it! Thank you

We stay here regularly it is our favourite hotel in the world. The architecture speaks for itself that coupled with the beautiful decor and modern facilities makes it our all time favourite. The room sizes are great the bathrooms are luxurious and the staff are the nicest most helpful bunch you will meet. They literally cannot do enough for you. I celebrated my 50th here a few weeks ago and it couldnt have been a better experience. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely, the service amazing and the staff generous and keen to help us celebrate as a family.
Nothing as if you have any issues talk to them they will go out of their way to resolve it for you

Greeted well and all staff were polite and friendly. Our bed was extremely comfortable. It was lovely sitting outside on the terrace in the evening enjoying a glass of wine. The room was extremely quiet - we didn't hear a thing! Probably just as well as construction works were going on at the back of the hotel and out the front!
Air con in the room didn't really work so we had to ask for a fan. The sauna was not open during our visit - this was disappointing. The underground car park was difficult to find - a map pointing to exact location on the website would be handy!

Lovely old building transformed into an elegant hotel. Brugge is a very walkable city, and the hotel was a brief walk to everywhere. Very comfortable rooms. The lobby meeting areas were comfortable and elegant. The staff was extremely helpful and even seemed to remember us. Breakfast was outstanding, with lovely service and delicious choices.
It was an older building, and an electrician had to enter our room to sort out the wifi since some part of the equipment was in a cabinet in our room. Our hot water was not working at first which meant postponing showers until this was sorted.

Fabulous hotel like a castle close to all the best parts of Bruges. Lovely room with comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet very good. All the people friendly, welcoming, and patient with our attempts at speaking Flemish. I won't be staying anywhere else in future trips to Bruges.
Maybe a few more vegetarian options at the breakfast buffet. When we'd been there previously, there'd been a gorgeous chess board in one of the bars. We'd been looking forward to playing chess over a couple of cocktails so it would be nice to see that back.

Dukes’ Palace is beautiful in every way. From the moment of arrival I knew we were in for a pleasant stay. We didn’t arrive until 2am as we drove from South Wales but we were still warmly welcomed by a gentleman on reception, who kindly helped us with our luggage, which made it much easier as we travelled with our 11 month old baby. We had a pleasant surprise to find out that we had been upgraded to a bigger room, which was fantastic as we had a cot in the room. The room was amazingly spacious, very clean, and the bathroom was a fantastic size with everything we needed. We looked at a few different hotels before deciding on Dukes’ Palace, as we wanted a hotel that would best accommodate a baby and be able to supply a cot for our stay. I’m so glad we booked Dukes’ Palace because they were hugely accommodating and the staff were absolutely fantastic in making our stay incredibly comfortable and made us feel at ease with having a very busy 11 month old baby with us for our stay. The food is exquisite (we had breakfast twice and one evening four course meal). The hotel location is ideal; very central, yet discreetly tucked away in a quiet area. The parking on site is very secure and convenient, also accessible via stairs within the hotel. I could write so much more, but in summary, our stay was absolutely perfect and we can’t wait to return and stay again soon. Thank you to everyone at Dukes’ Palace, we are so grateful for your amazing hospitality and your team are superb! We look forward to seeing you again very soon!
We liked everything

The hotel lives up to its name as the former aristocratic residence of Burgundian nobility. It seemed like the kind of place where a G7 summit would be held. The location is perfect as we were able to reach anywhere within 15 mins of walking and could even go back to the hotel regularly to refresh ourselves.
The bathroom sliding door lock was broken and therefore it was not possible to lock it. It was somewhat awkward sometimes and seemed a bit odd given the hotel's 5-star rating. It was not fixed during our stay, so that was somewhat disappointing.

The hotel is clean, very classic, simply organised and very comfortable. The staff also contributed to making us feeling welcome and at ease. Our room was big and functional with lots of space and everything we needed. We would have loved to take advantage of the nice living rooms and of the garden, as well as of the restaurant, had we stayed longer and not planned our dinner in advance.
I would have preferred to have a thinner and stiffer pillow, as the one I'm used to, nevertheless the ones from the hotel did provide a comfortable night.

Excellent location, service and general decor of the hotel. The hotel buffet breakfast was very varied in both hot and cold options. I celebrated a birthday during my stay and there were chocolates and a note from the duty manager wishing me a happy birthday. (Also, a box of chocolates on arrival).
We found our pillows very uncomfortable, however, we could have requested others which we chose not to do because we were too lazy. I would have preferred 2 of each kind of pillow instead of four that were all equally over stuffed. That’s the only criticism and, as said before, we could have requested alternatives as the hotel did list this as a service.
