Great Central location, lovely building, lovely and helpful staff who helped us find out where to watch the f1! nice room, cleaned daily, safe motorcycle parking (although an alley way with foot traffic, our motorcycle was very safe and coverage by cctv was a massive reassurance)

Although we didn’t inform the staff, which we probably should have (sorry!) some of the lights weren’t working in the room. However if we had of informed the staff of this, given how nice they were, I’m sure this would have been remedied. Maybe a bath mat would be good so we didn’t have to use the towel.

The most perfect location.. It’s ideally situation to enjoy the city and if you choose a canal view room the view is stunning.. The rooms themselves have mostly all you’d need, the hotel is a beautiful old building but it’s simply decorated not necessary in keeping with its heritage, & without too much fuss and you’d probably want to take your own coffee, tea bags & milk (there’s a mini fridge). The room facilities although a little dated, so offer you everything you need and it’s all very clean. The staff were AMAZING!! Nothing was too much trouble, they were all so helpful, kind and happy to help with any question or inquiry.. For the price, I would 100% recommend 😊

We booked a budget room with a canal view and it was STUNNING. Such a spacious room with large ceilings, tall windows that open up so you can get the fresh air and drink your coffee on the window ledge in the morning. It was such a beautiful view. The staff were so kind. The location is perfect! So close to so many beautiful and precious landmarks, it truly felt like a fairytale. The waffle house is only a couple of doors down, which has amazing savoury waffles for breakfast. There’s also a torture museum and a witchcraft museum right down the street which were very interesting and knowledgeable, and when you buy tickets for both you get a discounted rate. There’s tons of chocolate shops on our street, and a tin tin gallery as well as other art galleries. The lounge/bar in the basement of the hotel is very nice as well! Very cool down there, it feels like you’re in a cave under water. And the drinks and service are great. There’s really great restaurants just across the street, and the belfry and the historium are in the square (market) just 2 minutes away from the hotel door. The location couldn’t be better. We could see the townhall from our room, and everything was just so surreal and serene. I would absolutely stay here again. They also give you discounts for a bunch of attractions in the area when you stay with them. We forgot to use the discounts lol, but it’s still worth noting :) absolutely loved our stay. Check in and out was also very easy and smooth, and after checking out they took care of our bags for us while we did a few more touristy things before getting our train out. 10/10 don’t hesitate booking!

I absolutely loved this place. We got the balcony room which was amazing. Clean, big room, nicely decorated and a comfortable bed. I thought street noise will be non stop, but we barely heard any. The only noise was from few other guests who were very loud at night, but this isn't the hotel's fault. Location was spot on, could not have asked for better. Close to central area, a lot of shops, restaurants and bars all around the hotel. Staff were nice and welcoming as well. I would definitely stay here again.

I would just say pillows are a bit too big, but this is a personal preference.

The hotel has a very nice view to the canal. The room is spacious with modern fittings , clean with comfortable beds. The hotel is centrally located in the old city and 2 mins to boat rides. The breakfast room retains the old style of the building itself, very cosy with a direct view to the canal. It is very nice to have breakfast there. Staff are friendly and very supportive.

The room is renovated in a nice modern comfortable style. The only thing is the door to the bathroom is glass albeit not transparent but one can nevertheless see what's going on inside as the toilet seat is right next to the door. The glass door is also much less sound proof and it is not altogether pleasant to hear what's going on. I would strongly recommend that the door be changed to a normal wooden one to provide more soundproof as the bathroom is right next to the bed.

Hotel was clean, staff we're really friendly and they let us keep our bags there as we had a really late journey home. They also told us somewhere where we could park for free which was really helpful. The man behind reception was really nice and recommended some restaurants for us to go to and one of the places we went to eat was amazing!

Think the price we paid was slightly overpriced for what we got, not sure if it was the time of the year but it was a fairly standard room. If we had a view of the water then I think I could justify the price but the view was just on the other side of the town.

Wow. We are very picky people and this hotel totally over delivered. We booked the most basic room and it was great. Super giant and spacious with a desk, sitting area and room leftover to do a cartwheel. The bathroom was large. Everything spotlessly clean. Staff are patient, kind and super helpful. Location is AMAZING - One block from central square, and hotel restaurant overlooks a canal. Central location means you can easily walk to everything. Great Greek food to go cafe across the street if you don't feel like a whole sit down meal. Has an elevator (though you have to navigate a few steps to get to it in a tight area). Internet worked great. We slept the whole night through without earplugs. Such good value for money that we extended two more nights. NO STRANGE SURPRISES. We spent three hours doing hotel research to find a spot that was affordable (without some of the very strange drawbacks we read about at other affordable hotels) while still being great quality. We nailed it.

Small heads up that the elevator has a couple of steps to it in a tight hallway - so not wheel chair friendly and you'll have to wrestle luggage but really just a couple of steps. Not whole flights of stairs like other places. All together great!

Excellent location. We only stayed one night but the location allowed us to see as much as possible in the short time there. There are many shops, bars and restaurants within a few minutes of the hotel. We booked the basic room so it was a little tight getting around one side of the bed, but appreciated the comfort of the large double bed. The room overlooked the street, but was very quiet. Breakfast was in a quaint old room overlooking the canal, and offered everything needed for a good start to the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is not a hotel problem, but we weren’t alone in driving around the oneway system trying to find a way through. The route through the city to the hotel posed a problem for both Google and our navigation system and missing a junction resulted in a large detour. If arriving by car I would suggest it is best to drive around the ring road so that as close to the hotel as possible before driving into the city. Alternatively use a Park & Ride option.

Fantastic location and lovely hotel with a nice mixture of historic features and modern touches. Staff were lovely and very helpful with advice. Would definitely recommend if looking for spending a couple of days.

The room we were in could do with some updates. It overlooked the front street and had lots of gorgeous historic features but the furniture and interior looked like it hadn’t been updated for a while. Considering quite a lot of the hotel had undergone renovation this felt a bit off.

The location was excellent! Easily walkable to the historic old town, canals, shops, and restaurants. There were taxis readily available from the train station too. The service was fantastic - from check in to check out. We were early and were able to get early check-in! Very much appreciated after a long transcontinental flight. Breakfast was lovely with a great view of the canals. There is a small cocktail area within the hotel. Nice on a cold rainy evening. I highly recommend!
