Fish Market is a personally run boutique B&B, perfect for a stay within easy reach of the urban Dansaert district. Alex is a dedicated host and went out of his way to meet our individual needs. Thank you for that! The breakfast is rich and includes a large selection of local products, which pleased us as foodies. But the best thing about the accommodation is the interior design. Each room has its own charm and is filled with selected art and design objects. Finally, we loved the neighbourhood in which the accommodation is located. It is lively, diverse and home to a large number of restaurants, bars, nice places to hang around and fancy fashion shops.

It's really hard to find anything, but if you like impersonal tourist hotels in generic city centres, you should probably stay somewhere else :).

Loved this property!!! Alex, the host was extremely responsive and greeted us enthusiastically upon our arrival. The B&B is very conveniently located - steps from Saint Catherine church and plaza. The room was HUGE!!! With very tall ceilings and very cool crown molding and décor. The bathroom had plenty of shelf space and the towels were thick and big :) Alex put on a really nice European breakfast every day. There is a nice living room space that we ere invited to use - and we did! Great space for hanging out with out friends after dinner, etc. There are dozens of outdoor and indoor restaurants and bars within walking distance, and we were able to walk to the more 'tourist-filled' shopping and business area also. The city is amazing and worth the visit!!! We'd definitely try to book the Fishmarket B&B again on our next visit to Brussels!!!

The location is wonderful, everything that is interesting (sights, shops, art galleries), beautiful (parks) or delicious (restaurants) is within short walking distance. On top of this, a very clean metro station is just two minutes away. The house itself is nice from the outside and absolutely stylish and beautiful inside. The apartment was huge, design-oriented and comfortable, the bed fantastic. Breakfast in the stylish kitchen with all other guests at a large table was plentiful and the conversation a delight. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely everything was fine.

Excellent location, beautiful building, great kitchen, lovely bedroom with a very comfortable bed and a great shower (so important!), and a much appreciated expresso machine. The staff were excellent - friendly, available, accommodating and responsive.

The occasional noise from the street was very audible - it felt as though the window was open. Perhaps the joins need sealing? It wasn’t a noisy street though - just two disturbances. The room had a few extra amenities in the description which were not in the room, but I didn’t miss them at all.

This place is decorated very quirkily & very modern. It was really well located. We were there in December & one of the best Christmas Markets was only a minute away at the end of the road. It was also easy to walk to the central square & other attractions. The staff are friendly & when we got there we were taken around the facilities including a small gym & sauna. They also have two common rooms where alcohol is available for purchase if required. The room coffee machine was great & when needed you can get additional coffee pods & tea bags from the kitchen

As the place is a B&B you have to arrive before 9pm to be able to check in; & they are unable to store your bags for you after check-out (but the main stations have lockers if needed). Your room is also not cleaned while you are there. However the room was lovely & clean on arrival & we were able to replenish coffee pods & tea bags as needed from the kitchen at anytime (even when we returned late at night). On our first night the room felt cold. However we soon learnt that our radiators were turned off. The place is heated on a time basis & the rooms are very warm mid evening. However , if you leave your radiators on, the room will still be very warm when you return late evening/early morning.

Great location in a historic building, nicely and tastefully renovated; room generously large and with a lot of charm, very friendly staff - particularly at breakfast, which is rich and nicely done. Great coffee :-) Communal table a nice idea, but maybe not to everyone's taste - you should be a communicative breakfast person.

I was on a business trip and did not find the b&b suitable for that, but my mistake -- it is clearly catering to tourists. I was missing a (small) writing desk in the room. WiFi was good. My room on the ground floor was a bit noisy from bypassing pedestrians at night; during daytime I had the feeling people can look directly into my room and the bath from the street unless I closed the blinds which made the room darker.

This place is EXCEPTIONAL! We stayed in the balcony room which was HUGE. Armchair, double wardrobe, chest of drawers etc. Massive TV with Netflix etc. There is a smoking room and a pretty courtyard with garden furniture. Also a communal lounge. Everything is tastefully decorated and full of original artworks. Honesty bar. Fridge in the room. Coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Breakfast is a full spread of meats, cheese, fruit, muesli, croissants, etc. Alex and his team are wonderful hosts and so friendly and helpful. Absolutely sparkling clean throughout the building. Excercise room with sauna. Id go back to Brussels just to stay here for longer!

We stayed on the first floor with a a balcony. No air-conditioning, it would have been nice to at least have had a fan as the room got hot in the afternoon with the sun shining on the windows (a ceiling fan would be great for air movement). The street noise echoed, so it was a hard choice between noise or windows open at night. No shampoo/conditioner/soap provided. The room was next to the kitchen, so there was no sleeping in due to people traffic.

The most gorgeous, spacious room with a balcony and a super comfy bed. We loved everything about our stay here. The location was perfect, easy walking access to everything. Great bars and restaurants nearby. Super friendly hosts who made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was delicious and we wished we were staying longer. It totally exceeded our expectation, we would absolutely recommend it and will be back again.

The only thing that disappointed us was that the weather meant we couldn't take advantage of the lovely courtyard! It would have been perfect for an evening drink from the honesty bar but it was too chilly, next time we'll have to come in summer and remedy that!

Excellent location. Huge room with really comfortable bed and pillows (I found a softer pillow in the wardrobe which suited me better). Great shower. Very friendly staff and great communication. Superb breakfast . There is also a lounge with a bar based on an honesty system. Best place I have stayed in Brussels to be honest.

Breakfast was a little late starting at 9am for me but that was only because I was there for work and had to leave earlier for meetings. If I was on holiday it would be perfect!
