The hotel is more like a combination between a hotel and a hostel. Location is good, close to the city center. You can walk to the main square. The room was clean.
The (paid) luggage storage is located on the first floor. There is an elevator but it only works if you have the key for a room. If you have to use luggage storage, this means you have no room and no key, so you must carry heavy luggage up the stairs. I would have appreciated a "complimentary" trip with the elevator.

For how big this hostel is, it is run quite well. The rooms were cleaned daily, including new bed sheets and towels! This was a great surprise. The beds were comfortable and the dorm rooms have their own bathroom. This was yet another great surprise! The location could be better, but then again it isn't bad, it's just decent. Most things are within a 15 - 30 minute walk. The highlight in my opinion is the kitchen. It is fully stocked and there was a lot of free food.
I have a personal hatred to hostels that act like hotels. In other words, hostels that try to make even more money by charging for literally everything. It's great that they have a pool table and games, a bar, along with breakfast, and a place to wash clothing, but to have to pay for all of it honestly sucks. Thankfully they have a kitchen and if you can't afford to engage in any of the paid offerings by the hostel you can just skip them.

Extremely disappointed to read that yous are opening in Tel Aviv. For this reason alone I would not recommend to friends or family and if I’d of known prior to my stay I would not have booked.

To be honest, you are visiting Meininger, and you are getting the quality experience that they have everywhere. I really like the location of this specific hostel, The bar had great beer options, the kitchen where you can prepare food by yourself, and "room" with games and tables to hang out were really spacious and clean, but sometimes I feel like overcrowded (not exactly a huge problem). Breakfast is definitely worth it. Breakfast had plenty of options, from soft drinks, coffee, waffles, eggs, to salami, cheese, butter, cornflakes,... I would really say there is something for everyone, no matter what your preferences are, or are you the person that sleeps longer or wakes up very early. Rooms are also very huge, but I feel like one or two more chairs would be nicer (optional, but not necessary).
Not like I didn't like it, but instead of changing towels every day, maybe it would be much better to let people decide if they want them to get changed. Maybe by throwing them on the floor to signal you would like to have it changed or something (like in hotels). Mostly we are all basically just sleeping there, so are we actually making towels so dirty that there is a need to change them daily? It's a thing to take into consideration as a personal opinion, not a critique of any sort.

The rooms and bathroom were very confortable and clean.
The common areas were very noisy. The noise came mainly from activities with the guests, which are fun and I think it's great that they had it, but I wish there was a seperated more chill common area. In one of the nights I had to make a call and I couldnt do it from my room because I didn't want to disturb the people sleeping, so I went to the common area and I barely could listen to the other person through the phone. Other than that, I was a little disapointed that I had to pay to store my luggage before the check in time. It wasn't that expensive, but it was the first hostel I stayed that I had to pay for something like that.

The whole building is very big. The dormitory was very clean and comfortable. Having the bathroom inside the bedroom was really something i liked. The place is beautiful and the location is excellent. I could walk from the hotel to most places. But also there is a metro station very close to the hotel. I also went to the hotel bar for a bit, and the area is great. The whole experience at the hotel was amazing.
The only thing i wish there was at the dormitory is curtains in the beds. It could make it more private. And sometimes some people need to use the lights and other people need to sleep and prefers the dark. So i guess the curtains would be a nice touch. Other than that, everything was great!!

Comfortable, convenient, clean Excellent value for money Friendly, helpful staff Walking distance to central attractions Restaurant and bar on site as well as kitchen facilities
Two days before arrival, we were advised the road in front of the property had been closed - although clearly closed for a long time. Because of this, getting to the property quite difficult if you are travelling by car and don't have luggage with wheels. Parking is a 10 minute walk away in a multistory car park and the bays are made for tiny cars.

Really easy and nice and clean, friendly staff. A little closer to a hotel than a hostel, almost like a blend. I have been to dozens and it was my friends' first ever, it was a great experience for them and I have a lot to compare to. The few small things I would have liked to see didn't at all outweigh the pros, and I would definitely recommend.
I wish there was a communal lounging area and communal bathrooms. That was what made it feel more like a hotel, I have never had a private bathroom at a hostel and certainly not as the standard. It made it more difficult to coordinate 1 shower for 3 travelers rather than having a group area to do so. Also nowhere to really relax and unwind and lie down while being able to talk to people, I had to go to my room to relax which was less fun for meeting people. A few beanbags and couches would go a long way.

This was a last minute trip, I chose this place because it was one of the only available good options 😅 I was not expecting much and I ended up highly surprised and satisfied. It was one of my best experiences staying in an hostel, I would go back to Brussels just to stay here again 🤩 The hostel works well in every aspect, but what I loved the most was the personnel vibes. They were always kind and helpful, especially Mikail, who prepared me a "breakfast box" because I was leaving too early and the breakfast opened afterwards, so I could leave with something to eat on my journey
My first night was in a 6x room being the only woman among 5 other men. I did not feel very comfortable about it, but when I asked in reception if there was a mistake they kindly explained me that the allocation is aleatory, and they offered me a change to another room where women were staying.

Hostel with hotel structure, well placed, very clean and organized. A short walk from several transport options, including from/to airport and train stations. My bedroom had its own restroom, which was great. Also had 2-single beds with no bunkbeds over, giving a bit more privacy even in a shared room.
Check in procedures were a bit confused (I arrived a couple hours before but instead of collecting my documents and let me fill all forms to attend faster when needed, the one on frontdesk said no extra procedures were needed). Each room doesn't have its own key to unlock electricity, so if you are in a shared room, someone place its key and needs to leave, everyone who remains inside get heating/cooling and lights off. They should also offer bookings with breakfast included - they're good but not sure if worth the amount claimed.
