Oh, we love the view. We were initially placed on the 5th floor, overlooking a rooftop, so we asked to be moved to a better view. We appreciate the location of the hotel in the town - it's close to our family, the pier, and stores. The seal around our balcony door was tested in a HUGE wind and rain storm on our last night there! It pounded all night long against those windows and there was no leaking. :)

The towels are rough and thin. The shower pressure was very weak - not sure if it's because we were on the top floor or because of the particular shower head. Changing the type of water flow on the shower head didn't help.

It was nice and close to the water and had a nice balcony. Rooms were clean

The lady that checked us in - Laura - was not very helpful. First she kept on saying we didn’t have a reservation and then when she finally did find it we found out she was looking at the wrong date. No apology. Then she said there was no elevator to our floor. When we questioned her she said the elevator was only from the fifth floor and we were on the fourth floor. After dragging our stuff down the stairs we found out later there was another entrance with access to an elevator from the lower level. We were not happy about that and not sure why she didn’t tell us. We used the lower parking lot for the rest of our stay.

I have stayed at this motel many times and it is clean and very comfortable. All the rooms face away from the nearby highway so it is quiet. The beds are super comfortable.

On previous occasions I've had a room on floor 3 or floor 5. This time I ended up with a floor 4 room which, due to the geometry of the building and the specific room location, has much less of a view than I'm used to. Most rooms have an uninterrupted 180 deg water view, but this one was only about a 90 deg view and looked out partially on some not-too-attractive bits of the building... so I was disappointed and felt the room should have been cheaper because it was "below standard" for this motel.

From arrival to departure we had an excellent stay. Check in was friendly, welcoming, and fast. Our first-floor, pet-friendly room was very clean and boasted a wonderful view with a balcony. Service in the dining room was professional and helpful. Our meals were very good. We met several nice people while walking our pups. Check-out in the morning was quick and easy. It was a bonus that self-service carts were provided at entry to easily bring luggage, etc., to the room. Several reviews complain about the elevators, which we simply found quirky. The hotel was built in different stages, making a contiguous elevator impossible, since the hotel backs up to a hillside. Yes, it's quirky, but for us it wasn't a big deal. There are separate parking areas serving the top section of the hotel and the bottom floors of the hotel.

The first floor hallway entry carpets need cleaning or replacement. A bag of laundry was left by the elevators. Both minor concerns.

Everything was excellent except for the few stairs from the lobby and only because I am a cardiac patient with mobility issues.

I wasn't driving so getting to my room fro.the 5th floor lobby to the 4th floor elevator required 20 steps. The steps were difficult with my luggage. If driving that was no problem as there is an elevator between the ground floor and 4th floor. The restaurant is on the 3rd floor.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Anchor Inn! We needed an affordable place to stay in Campbell River and it looked good, and when we got there, our expectations were exceeded! The room was a great size, clean and cozy, and the balcony overlooking the ocean was fantastic. We used the pool, and while it's small and basic, it was a nice added feature to have included! We look forward to another stay here in the future.

Location, view

The menu in the room said brunch was from nine until one, but when we went to the restaurant, we were told it was closed and didn’t open until two. Also tried finding the lobby on floor number four, but it turned out. It was actually on floor number five. I never did find it. We drove the car around to the front door to check out.

Bed was very comfortable. The view was great. It was quiet as there was no highway traffic noise.

Breakfast fine but others in our group who were at a different location, had a free breakfast. Noise from other units was quite loud, but fortunately quieted early in the evening. We were a fair distance from others in our group.

Location and views were really good plus very good value for money staff were very helpful also

Some renovation work going on but didn't really hear anything and hot tub was not in working order biggest downside was position of fridge was put right outside bathroom door looked like it had been dumped there

Beautiful view of the strait. Loved the breeze coming off the water. Great food and service in the restaurant. Staff was great and very helpful.

Our room was on the first floor at the north end of the hotel and the banging of the fire door on the parking level from people going in and out for a cigarette was a bit annoying. The smell of cigarette smoke and pot smoke was also a bit nauseating, which meant we had to close our balcony door alot.
