The room location was excellent. We had the one facing the river. The view was excellent. Housekeeping made sure the room was cleaned and fresh every day. It is a pleasure returning from the tours we booked to a fresh room. The staff in the Cafe was super helpful and nothing was too much. Food selection and availability of local food products were also good. The location and parking facility made getting in and out of the city easy. Being a central location to Fleet terminal, it made it easy to catch booked tours.

The ONLY downside (if any) to our stay in the hotel room was that it did not seem to have a fan in the shower room.

It’s in a great location with amazing water and hill views. Being on the edge of the esplanade it’s quiet yet it is within easy walking distance to restaurants, cafes and bars. The staff were extremely professional and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with plenty of options to choose from - everything was very fresh and of good quality. The pool area had plenty of lounge beds and had a box of swim toys ie noodles for kids. The room was clean, spacious with very comfortable beds and pillows. We couldn’t fault anything with our stay …. apart from……..

……..the pool was a bit on the cold side however once you got in it was fine. I’ve been in colder.

Location close to Green Island terminus, spacious room, friendly staff, good breakfast and no one at the front lobby waiting to grab your bag and expecting a tip. The hotel rewarded guests with a free drink at the bar every day they did not require their towels and linen changed as a way of thanking you for helping them take care of the environment. Taxis could be ordered at the desk and they arrived within minutes.

Would have preferred a separate shower rather than a shower over the bath. The hotel restaurant could have had a better evening meal choice and a better quality meal, although the lunch special was good value as it had a free drink included.

The staff were all amazing, everyone we dealt with went out of their way to help, and all with a good attitude. The building was clean and mostly well designed. The lifts were smooth and fast. The staff routines are well thought out, and the Hilton runs smoothly, all the staff have a happy & peaceful demeanor. We will return. Thank you 😊

The spa in the pool area needs to be warmer, and perhaps upgraded. After a long day of sightseeing it would be good to rest in warmer. We were kindly upgraded to a room with a spa-style bath, which was a good solution for me & appreciated, thank you. I also thought it would have been good if the restaurant was on the next level up (to capture the water views better) & the pool should have been designed on the lower floor, As currently general access is down a flight of stairs, which is difficult for some elderly or immobile. There is access via staff lift for them, but pity the original design didn't take this into account.

The buffet breakfast was comprehensive with enough variety to satisfy the most most discerning client. The omelettes are ready to be collected within 10 minutes of being ordered. The bed was soft but supportive so no aches on waking in the morning or an afternoon siesta. The pillows were soft and larger than the normal size. The view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful and cups of tea taking in the scenery were a regular event. Looking down on the internal atrium that was planted with palms and tree ferns certainly enhanced the hotel's attraction. Thank you to Eli & Jordan for taking care of us and ensuring that everything met our exoectations.

Leaving after such an enjoyable get away.

The hotel was clean and the staff were attentive. I enjoyed the breakfast, mostly (see below). The room was comfortable and quiet and it had a beautiful view of the water.

I think combined shower / baths are a potential significant trip hazard and should not be allowed in hotels. The breakfast was good, apart from the fact that I found the bacon and sausages only lukewarm in the bain-maries. I also thought it strange that the small bottles of juice were all opened and only half-full. Also, there didn't appear to be a dedicated YouTube channel on the TV for me to source news and matters of interest to me. The content / programs on the available terrestrial television stations was not worth watching. I mention this as I spent some time in my room due to the bad weather I experienced whilst in Cairns. Apart from this, I enjoyed my stay there.

Had a really nice corner suite which gave amazing views of Trinity Inlet towards the mountain range and part of Cairns. The pool area also needed some work but you could see they were trying to put an effort to make it more amenable. Staff were generally quite friendly and helpful and greeted you at you entered and left the building.

You could tell the decor definitely needed to be freshened up, and you could see strands of previous occupants' hair in the carpet. The hair dryer attachment was broken. Whilst the amenities were relatively accommodating, you could definitely see the age of the hotel.

We always enjoy staying at the hotel due to its proximity to the esplanade and shops. We always try to book a room which overlooks the water which the staff tries to accommodates for us. We also enjoy the planet-saving incentive of free drinks, the happy hour at the bar and the weekly specials menu at Mondo's restaurant.

We had ants in the tea caddy. The housekeeper sprayed the area but the ants returned. Also, the thermostat in the fridge was on high so the milk and everything in there was frozen and had to be thawed before use. I also feel that hotels should provide a tea towel and toilet brush.

Location by water front was superb!! Lots of gorgeous high quality restaurants nearby Room was good size with everything I needed including nice toiletries, bath robe, towels ++, tea and coffee machine. Pool was great size and clean and lots of Sun loungers! Staff kindly upgraded me as it was a special birthday which was very kind of them!

Could do with a specific change room and showers near the lobby for people checking out as the bathroom next to pool wasn’t ideal for suitcases to be used. The option for a drinks voucher instead of room service is great idea. Unfortunately there is no where to put rubbish on each floor there could be a large bin and somewhere to place dirty towels!

Amazing location. Perfect place to stay if you need to reach Reef Fleet Terminal. Where all the Diving and Snorkelling trips embark. It also has plenty of restaurants and shops all around. Gorgeous views over the horbour. You see the boats in the water with untouched green mountains as the backdrop. Amazing room service. Above and beyond service to meet your needs.

Lacking in in room dining for dietary needs. No halal and very few vegetarian and vegan options. So had to always order from outside. Had some decent options at breakfast. It was an anniversary booking so was expecting a cake/chocolate and maybe even flower petals. Was left with a bottle of wine in the fridge. Which is fine for most guests but is culturally insensitive.
