I loved the decor, the facilities, the huge bed, the balcony, the outlook, the view, the location, the vibe, all of it. It perfectly suited my needs. I had a little getaway/staycation and it was very relaxing, the room service was lovely, the in house Shiraz was lovely, so was the chocolate! I really treated myself and I chose well with Crystalbrook Flynn. Came away very happy and would highly recommend.

The staff here went above and beyond from the moment we arrived. They checked us in earlier after our early morning flight - such a lifesaver. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and genuinely eager to help. Highlights: - Directly on the esplanade - Night market just steps away - Perfect access to everything - Spotlessly clean rooms - Well-maintained facilities Bonus: Yoga mat in the room (total game-changer for fitness lovers) The staff's warmth, incredible location, and thoughtful touches made this stay truly memorable.

A Few Honest Notes: - Bed is comfy but on the softer side - Swimming pools are clean but chilly. 1st floor pool slightly warmer, but still refreshing - No power sockets by the bed—only a USB port. If you have a Type-C charger, you might run into some trouble :)

The location with two entrances meant you could go out onto the esplanade or into town. It was right next to the night markets and the lagoon and lots of great restaurants. The pools were amazing even when it rained we could lounge and not get wet but still use the pool which in 37 degrees heat was great. The staff were very friendly and lent us an umbrella no problem. The robes in the room were wonderful. The bed was extremely comfortable. We slept really well. The room was sound proof. Nice balcony. The shower was great. Easy to get to via Uber from the airport in about 15 minutes. Great value for money and we arrived at 10.30am off a flight from Hong Kong and they let us check in which was really appreciated.

The location was so central, and the facilities were great. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Bed and pillows were very comfortable, and room and bathroom was modern, very clean and welcoming. Also the pools were an absolute highlight! Stunning and could order drinks pool side.

Not being able to turn the air con below 21 was abit annoying since it didn't even really get down to 21 as it was, but alas, a minor issue. Also housekeeping didn't replace toilet paper without being specifically asked which wasn't great when staying for 7 days, but when asked, they were very quick and on the ball about it.

The reception were welcoming, efficient and friendly on both my stays. On my first stay, I booked a harbor facing room and by mistake, a city view room on my return stay. on 2nd check-in, I requested to change to harbor facing again and the receptionist searched and worked for over 5 minutes to arrange this, and succeeded. including upgrading me to the top floor, harbor facing. See pic from 8th floor and 12th floor. This is more than I could have expected and so appreciate the extra effort, you don't get at every hotel, the standard answer usually being "Sorry, we'd love to but the hotel is full". Thanks again for a wonderful experience in the fully modern hotel (e.g. including USB sockets if you don't have Australian plugs) etc...

The amazing staff checked us in WAY earlier than check in time. Much appreciated after an early flight!! The staff were super accommodating and lovely, eager to sort out any issues we had. Our view was fantastic and the facilities were gorgeous. Location couldn’t have been better!

Not through any fault of the Flynn and more to do with the humidity in Cairns but there was a distinct damp and mouldy smell coming from the air conditioning in our room. We thought it was a problem with just ours, so the lovely staff offered us another room but it had the same issue. Gotta love the tropics!

Our family of 4 stayed in 2 rooms for 2 nights. One room had 2 twin beds, the other was a King room on the same floor. The staff was friendly and helpful upon checkin. I requested a parking space when I booked, and they were able to provide a remote to get in/out of the garage. The rooms had a good amount of space, clean and tidy. I was impressed with the layout and design of the rooms, very thoughtful. Features that you think are common sense apparently are not, esp in newer designed American hotel chains these days. The bathroom had a sink that drained down (not the stupid flat sinks they have all over now), shower was fully enclosed (not the half walls common in europe that allow water to get all over), good water pressure, good amount of counter space in bathroom for your toiletries, places to hang towels, nice soaps, shampoo. In the mini fridge, they had glass bottles that could be refilled for water (instead of single use plastic), switches to control all lights next to bed And bonus that there is a special night light that lights a low frosted panel in the bathroom so you can see when you get up to use the bathroom but not wake up your other guest (really loved that) Also, the in room safe is in a pull out drawer so you can pull out and look into the safe, instead of stuff things way deep inside a closet and not being able to see in back (cuz it's dark) And bonus that they had a tray where you could store watch, jewelry, etc. I've never seen that style of in room safe before. All hotels should take a design lesson here. Location is great, next to the night market for casual eats, super market up the street and many other restaurant options walking distance. A little snafu for one room on our first night, but staff moved rooms for us. Overall a comfortable stay, and I would still recommend this hotel.

The King room we were in first night had a musty smell. My fault for not asking to move rooms right away but my kids had used the bathroom already so we thought it would be ok. We aired it out w AC full blast while we went to dinner, but it still smelled (like wet umbrella, old towel) We asked to move rooms and the next room was fine for our last night. No ice machine, had to call down to get a bucket of ice.

The staff was friendly enough, and the facilities were clean, though nothing about the hotel was exceptional. The gym was a disappointment. The location is excellent. The city of Cairns is amazing in its Winter season.

The gym was a disappointment. The cleaning service seems to be lacking in the finer details, like remembering to provide enough tissues. There were ants in the private bar and an infestation of ants in the dining area (Italian, where the breakfast buffet is served). I don't think it deserves the 5 star rating that it has.

Location fantastic. Room and bed comfortable. Reception staff helpful. Carpark for minimal cost was very convenient. Some free movies available in room. Also casting to room TV to play from own Netflix account was easy.

The breakfast was a bit underwhelming- over cooked eggs, limited cheese selection, average pastries. After first breakfast, included in room price, we chose to have breakfast (paid) elsewhere. The room would have benefited from a foldout suitcase stand. Also had to ask for face towels.

The location was perfect. We only had a couple of days in Cairns, and this hotel is right in the middle of it all. Easy to walk to restaurants and bars as well as our boat that took us out to the reef. There were other options to consider, but the convenience outweighed everything, and it was well worth it. We had a suite for our family, and it was spacious, with a great view, nice balconies and a great deal. At check-in, Tim gave us great service and made us feel extremely welcome.
