Great location! We were visiting friends and this was a great place to stay close to the city and where our friends live. It was a clean room with the bare essentials, but that's all we really needed. An issue we had was that the key kept getting mixed up when we put it next to our credit cards or cellphones, but that was our mistake and the people at the front desk fixed it immediately, they were all very helpful and kind!
The toilet seat was broken so it kept sliding off, and the bathroom was a sort of wet room, so it was hard to keep the floor and your things dry, but that wasn't really a big deal.

I liked that the accommodation is basically a few steps from the subway and close to the airport. The location was quiet though. The room is picturesque, but for us low-cost travelers, it was absolutely sufficient - we had everything we needed, comfortable. In addition, the staff is really nice and pleasant.
It would be nice to have a small kettle for tea and mugs in the room. I like warm tea - alone in peace and privacy before bed. I would gladly pay extra for this option.

Great staff, very helpful, and it was nice to receive an extra welcoming gift from Tony the manager. The location was great, and the room was ok. There was a hostel vibe there, which I liked. There are football matches watching events at the bar of the hotel, so you can experience some parts of Danish culture there. The pub is quite vibrant but fortunately, I got a room with windows to the other side of the building. There's no kettle in the room, but you can get tea and coffee for free at the pub.
It could have been cleaner (the floor in the corners) and the heating could have been more efficient. The bed linen was small, the Wifi wasn't the best for working online (video calls), and there was no "don't disturb/no cleaning" to hang on the door. I didn't expect the cleaner to come, so I eventually felt like my privacy was invaded. I wish the communication via Booking.com before my arrival was better - someone I spoke with did not speak English in writing too well.

Quite close to metro line and short ride by metro to the airport. Room was quite big and space, located in old historical building. Rooms inside the yard of the building was quiet and no noise comes from the outside of the building. On the first floor of the building you can found bar with some alcoholic coctails on reasonable prices. Central part of the Copenhagen can be reached on foot.
In the darkness it is little bit difficult to find your room. Soap in the bathroom is very limited. Also little bit difficult to find the hotel building in the dark time of the day (late evening).

I was a bit wary after reading some of the reviews but everything was excellent! Reception has its own door if you don't like the bar. We did like the bar, it is a friendly little sports pub with a crowd of local regulars and the barman gave a little taster splash of our chosen drinks to make sure we liked them! Check-in was quick and easy and the stairs are easy to navigate. Didn't try the lift so can't say anything about it. We also didn't buy the hotel breakfast so no opinion on that either. There is a supermarket right next door, too easy. The room was warm, clean, and cosy. We had only booked a double room but were put in a 4-sleeper (double + bunk beds) so we could spread out. The beds were very comfortable, nice firm mattresses and crisps white bedding. Bathroom was clean, hot water was plentiful, and our room faced a small park so it was very quiet for the location. It's a budget hotel in a charming older building so manage your expectations accordingly. If you want a comfortable place to lay your head in a great location (4 mins walk to Amagerbro Metro, and just across the road from the 5C bus stop that goes to Central Station), at a very good price for Copenhagen, this is for you. If you want room service, and bellhops to carry your luggage, please feel free to spend 5x the price at a hotel that offers these services. Personally I am very glad that affordable accommodation like Hotel Amager still exists, and thoroughly recommend them.

The hotel was in Amager, 7 min by bus from the central train station, 5 min walking from the Amagerbro subway station, 30 min walking (literally) from the Christiansborg slot. The hotel was quite, the room - nice: a twin bed, a tv set, 2 night tables with lamps, towels, little soaps and shower gel packs; there was hot water in the bathroom. The man on the reception was really friendly. Who can relate to back and neck problems: there was a tiny pillow which was super comfortable. Windows are facing the street so if you are a light sleeper, take earplugs.
On the flip side, the mattress was too soft. There was no wifi in the room, so you need to catch it in the hall. I travelled with an elderly person and wanted to make sure the elevator was working. So I contacted the hotel via booking but during 1 month I didn't get an answer about the floor our room was on. And it was crucial because the person would not be able to climb the stairs. We were lucky - it was the first floor and the elevator was working. Maybe the communication would be better if I called. There were 3 corn sticks under the bed:)

Reading all the negative reviews here on Booking. Com I had mixed feelings for my stay but they were all put aside when I saw the room. Hotel Amager is one of the absolute best budget hotels I've ever stayed in and the room was exactly as shown on the hotels web site, clean and comfy and one will have to look long and hard to find any room in Copenhagen city that offers the same value for the money as Hotel Amager. Location is as central as it gets with busses at the doorstep, Metro a few minutes away, 2 supermarkets next door, countless restaurants within sight and laundrette 100 meters up the street even the free WiFi was lightning fast. The Staff was all very helpful to my (reasonable) requests, especially the boss, and will certainly book at hotel Amager for my next stay however next time I'll book directly from hotel to get the best rate and the free drinks 🍸 hotels offer for direct bookings. A note to all who expect luxury for peanuts; you are better off forking out 3-4 times as much on Radisson up the street.
Nothing really I disliked, but I saw the breakfast on offer, and it didn't look too tempting. The 7/11 (open 24/7) 100 meter up the street is IMHO a better, and far cheaper, alternative.

Friendly staff, comfortable room, great location. Rent-a-bike is around the corner, shops, restaurants, bars on the street. City Centre 10 minutes on bike. The bar was right under our window, but it was not that noisy.
Breakfast is very simple (but because it's fee is not included in the price, we simply went to a bakery from the 2nd day). My wife found the bed very uncomfortable (I on the other hand had no problem with it).

My room was extremely clean and very neat. The temperature was warm and it was lovely and quiet. I liked that fact I could choose to have clean towels when I wanted rather than them being taken away every day. I didn't have any breakfast.
The shower was broken, I had to hand hold it. The bed was a very small single - whilst single occupancy I wasn't aware I would have a very small single bed

The hotel and the bar have a certain charm to them, the rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. This is one of the few reasonably priced places to stay in Copenhagen (close to the airport) and I very much prefer this part of the town (including the regulars at the bar) to other more touristy parts.
My blinds did not close properly and despite several friendly nudges, they were not fixed during the four days of my stay (did you know that the sun rises at around 4:00am in Copenhagen in June?). The breakfast was rather simple and the included coffee an atrocity.
