Having an underground gated parking is a plus. It’s a bit tight like most European parking spot but enough to fit a station wagon and standard SUV. Tram station is just outside the hotel for easy access around town. Supermarket, McDonalds/KFC nearby. After two min walk, you are facing Fine Art Museum and the old town neighborhood full of restaurants, cafés and boutiques etc. Location is very good - just outside the vibrant area but a stone throw away. The hotel exterior is not pretty but inside it’s clean, open, green, cozy and modern. Our corner deluxe room is spacious and quiet. Comfortable and clean. Roomy shower and yes a walk in closet. There is live music/singing during Sunday brunch (2/11/24). Bar is a good stop after a long walk around town but before sleep :) Staffs are enthusiastic and friendly ( lobby, bar, restaurant, front desk). Good credit to the hotel management as it’s a positive result of teamwork effort.

Just FYI. Parking exit is tricky. It’s ok during low season. It may become challenging in high season. There are two sinks on the bathroom. The one on the left is leaking water and it stains the counter underneath it. When you see water damage marks, it’s not a one-day issue. Not a big deal but it’s a leak. Kitchenette lacks of water for guests. Soft drinks are for kids :) In room has no slippers. Lacking Nespresso and tea ( it has a French press mug).

This is a very comfortable hotel and ticks all the right boxes from efficiency, friendliness and helpfulness of staff to well-appointed rooms and excellent beds. We had dinner in the hotel, the menu was very good, the food excellent as was the prompt service. Breakfast was also excellent. Throughout it all I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They were so enthusiastic and seemingly happy to be doing their work. The decor throughout the hotel was truly interesting - sometimes whimsical, sometimes quirky and at moments spectacular with lots of renewable materials used and very much a vibe of sustainability and awareness of green issues at all levels. Car parking in the basement was excellent and easily accessible, The hotel is just on the edge of the city centre with the cathedral only 7 minutes walk away.

I really cannot dredge up one false note in the overall experience. Perhaps the only downside is accessing the hotel by car and this has nothing to do with the hotel but everything to do with Bordeaux's one-way system and our SatNav not being up to date.

The staff is super friendly, both at the reception/front desk as were the bar gentlemen. On our first night we came in later than expected, and were super hungry from a long day of traveling. The lady at the reception called a local French restaurant and reserved a table for us to go have dinner. We felt very welcomed. The restaurant was only 5 min away. They also helped us book a wine tour and guided trip to Saint Emilion the following day, so super helpful. The Hotel facility is top notch: very clean, tidy, excellent toiletries, towels with really good smells. Our room was more spacious than I had envisioned from the pictures. The bed very comfortable, bathroom also very spacious. One should not be put off by the sight of the building from outside, as the facility inside is very modern. The restaurant served breakfast in a beautiful room inside and an esplanade out the backyard. It also has an elegant bar which serves drinks and light snacks which we were happy to enjoy. There is also a rooftop to enjoy with access request from the reception. The hotel is easily center accessible, on a light 10 min walk to it. The area felt also safe, as me and my friend made all the commute to the center on foot and some nights we walked back very late at night. It is definitely worth a short, mid or long stay in lovely Bordeaux.

If we were to say anything negative, was that the access to the rooftop is limited to a certain hour (10pm I believe), and no bar up there. So one night we were looking forward to grabbing drinks at the rooftop but the access was already closed. But that may just have been a misunderstanding on our side on what time the rooftop is open. Other than that, not negative points to address.

I absolutely loved my stay at FirstName Bordeaux. Central location, I walked from the railway station. You can also take the "G" bus, the nearest stop is just around the corner. Easy to walk everywhere in the city center. Very friendly personnel. Comfortable, clean, sound-proof room with all the essentials - and if you need something more (e.g. shower cap) you just ask at the reception. There's even a French coffee maker and a dose of coffee in the room which gives you a nice start to the day. I did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that. There's a kitchenette on each floor where you can refill the water bottle provided in the room, it also has sparkling water. No plastic waste, smart! As a bonus, there was a small fitness room which was not mentioned in the hotel features. That's very honest of the hotel, you could not call it a gym but it was quite enough for quick workouts. And if it's not raining you can easily go for a run on the riverside which is fantastic. Overall, a wonderful experience. I'll definitely want to stay here again next time I visit Bordeaux.

It would be petty and spoiled of me to complain about something, this hotel is great!

The location was hard to get to due to it being on a street that actually has two streets running the same way but the streets are separated by a tram-would be nice to know more about this as it is hard to arrive to the parking garage; the hotel was noisy at night: there was live DJ music that was very loud and located near lobby so if you walked outside you had to pass very loud DJ music and through a crowded lobby; very limited food options; breakfast was not available throughout the time advertised, the staff was very nice and helpful; the room size was great- although I paid for upgraded larger room that was expensive for extra size of room; facilities were clean, easy walk into central Bordeaux; great snacks, water refill station and free soft drinks/tea/coffee. Overall a great room, but expensive for the extra space and although the hotel has much to offer, it would have been nice to have more quiet spaces as the lobby was being over utilized for a rest area and dance/club area. Staff was very nice, they made the difference for a great experience!

Breakfast was good. Reception staff were excellent and efficient. The ability to replenish drinking water from kitchen on the floor was a good idea. Maybe a wider selection of complimentary drinks would be a good idea?

Some of the fittings and fixtures in the room were poorly secured to the walls and Curtains were short of fabric so let in light around the edges due to having no volume of fabric to work with when drawn. Reception desk was too minimal and on arrival with a large crowd in the foyer couldn't recognize where to go. Supply of tea bags was insufficient for tea drinkers and no sugar?

After cycling for 3 months across France FirstName was an absolute pleasure to spend our last days recovering and as a base to see the city. Our room was spectacular, the bed was an absolute delight to sleep in and the bathroom and wardrobe storage were magnificent. The heated mirrors in the bathroom were a real touch of class that we welcomed. Breakfast and dinners were top-notch, The breakfast was outstanding, the bacon and eggs and sausages prepared by the chef were done to perfection. We just loved everything the hotel had to offer. Check-in staff worked well above any expectations we may have had. They helped us when we had bicycle transport issues and when I cut my finger they worked tirelessly with arranging for the correct hospital and transport. They all communicated with each other and the various shifts seamlessly. The staff in the restaurant area along with the chef were also outstanding and super helpful. The staff in the restaurant area along with the chef were also outstanding and super helpful. Secure bicycle storage was the cream on the cake with this hotel.

Having to leave. We absolutely adored the room, the hotel, the food and the staff.

Warm, trendy, welcoming & quirky from the minute you stepped inside . Super staff, unbelievably helpful, with excellent English which kinda put my French to shame🤣 Breakfast was so fresh each day with great choice; We dined in one evening and the food was first class for each course and a very reasonable price . Our bedrooms were very well laid out, with everything we needed including a steamer! Loved the hotels attention to recycling. Great roof terrace also available to guests Specific special mention to our breakfast hostess Mathilde, who went above & beyond daily to ensure all was to the highest standard, not just for our group but for other guests too

DJ’s Music in lounge bar was just that little bit too loud

Breakfast was the best I have ever had!! Nothing was too much bother. My friend has an allergy and the kitchen staff made her a whites only scrambled egg. When something on the buffet table had run out, they replaced it within seconds. the choice was incredible and exceedingly fresh produce.

There was a 'Kitchenette' for guests use to replenish stocks of coffee, milk cartons etc and it had a ery large firdge stocked only with ....COCA COLA!! It would have been nice if there had been some fresh milk and little jugs on the counter-top so that you could have fresh milk in your coffee instead of the almond milk cartons.

- staff really welcoming - nice interiors, rooms are not too small, our room had the toilet separated from the shower room - the room was available before the standard check in time, and we were even offered a room on the higher floor upon request - shared kitchenette is a good idea, always some snacks available - differentiation of waste, bio soap and body cream, the hotel tries to use recycled materials. There is some room for improvement though. - location is great: in front of the tram stop (and no noise at all) and walking distance from major central points of interest - the hotel restaurant is not bad for dinner, if one is lazy to go out - building itself is beautiful

- I appreciated the fact that the towels were not changed every day, but on the first day they were changed and unfortunately we were left with one bathrobe only (instead of two) - breakfast is the only drawback of this hotel. There are not that many options, and they are the same every day. I missed fresh fruits and vegetables, more healthy options. - the early hour taxi that we booked through the hotel did not arrive on time. The hotel may consider changing the partners
