October 2022

Travelled here with my daughter in September 2022. The hotel is in a great location, very close to two different Metro lines with easy transfers. The room and bathroom were very clean and both rooms had either dormer windows and/or small balconies that you could stand and really enjoy the classical rooftops of Paris! We could see the Basilica of Sacré Coeur de Montmartre from our bathroom balcony and were grateful we had a quieter street within the Latin Quarter. They had what appeared to be a very nice breakfast area that we did not try as there is an award winning Patisserie just down the street (Boulangerie guyot geraldine) with out of this world pastries and baguette. There is also a restaurant two doors down that is well ranked on Tripadvisor (Hugo & Co.). There is an elevator in this small hotel, which we appreciated. Many other food options nearby and many interesting Paris sites as well (Jardin du Plante AND an old roman ampitheatre [Arenes' de Lutece)

The room was small, but that is to be expected in Paris. We also requested two twin beds but got one queen, which was OK but it would have been nice to have two twins.

The room, although small, had good facilities - the bed was comfortable and everything in the bathroom worked. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We appreciated having a kettle in the room. The hotel's location is very good indeed, with two Metro lines close by, and walking distance to the River Seine.

Although it was good to have a kettle, there was only Earl Grey tea, and horrible sterilised milk (so we bought our own fruit teabags!) The shower was a little uncontrollable (wet floors!) and the decor was a bit tired - carpets could do with replacement.

The lady in the lobby was amazing! She was really helpfull and proffesional. (She is a 5***** lvl). She helped us print the tickets, fulfill requests and all with great attitute. Location is nice, close to carefour and good bakery. Almost straight line from Notherdame (17 min by walk )

Room was quite small, dust on the tv and not vacuumed under the bed. ( as we moved beds a little to have more space). We even found a card under the bed, about a secret space ;) .. Bathroom was really small ( toilet ), I am 187cm, and it was a chalenge to go to the toilet. There is no electric plug in the bathroom. We found hairdryer on our last day in the closet, not really great place to store it.

Friendly reception. Nice informal vibe. The room was very small, but care had been taken to furnish it effectively, the decoration and lighting were pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. It was good to have a kettle with tea/coffee provided in the room. Also, it was a nice touch to provide a corkscrew (French wine bottles still have corks!) The location had plenty of shops and cafes, good metro link, and felt quite safe.

The small rooms and narrow internal corridors mean that you can hear other guests. Fortunately my neighbours were reasonably quiet and considerate. But please, only stay at this hotel if you are nice and quiet and considerate too, then everyone will have a pleasant stay :-)

Paris hotels are notoriously small but this hotel, while not having large rooms, has large bathrooms and makes good use of the minimal room space - you can move around, there is closet space, and there are balconies with views of Notre Dame and Sacre Coer. The kettle and tea/coffee plus fridge are hugely welcome. We are a family of four, had two rooms, and stayed here during Bastille Day - the planes flew right overhead and we had a great view from the balconies! We were on the fifth floor. The beds are firm, which I like. The rooms are spotless. We tipped the cleaner 5 Euros on our check out because she was so friendly and good. Breakfast is a great deal compared to cafes around here, especially if you want lots of coffee as it is endless. If you stay here be sure to visit the Roman ampitheatre across the street, it is easy to miss the entrance if you don't know to look for 'The Arene'. It's a lovely spot to have a picnic and watch the locals playing boules. The wifi works fine and the room we stayed in was recently decorated. It was very clean. Bonus: Free English (New York Times) and French newspapers daily!

If you ask the hotel desk to make you a reservation for a taxi there is a surcharge so make sure to ask how much it is. To avoid this charge you can walk up Rue Monge 1 block and there is a taxi rank. Fridge not very cold at all. No grumbles otherwise!

Nice quiet small hotel with a cool view to the street from our room window. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, borrowed us a wine opener for couple of days.

Be aware of the kettle! When we wanted to make tea in our room we didn’t smell the kettle before putting water in and boiling it for our tea. After first sip had to run to bathroom. Kettle had been cleaned before but they had forgotten to pour out all the vinegar.

Location was great, the rooms were well equipped, good shower pressure (we had three separate rooms for our family and all three had bathtubs with showers so we didn’t experience the tiny showers as others have mentioned). Close to lots of great restaurants in the Latin Quarter and a 25 min walk to the Louvre.

As other travellers mentioned, the carpets need to be replaced. Outside of that, no complaints for the location. Good value for Paris!

Everything, the location is amazing - a 7 minute walk from Notre Dame Church and 15 minute walk from Les Halles shopping center, 3 metro stations right on the hotel, the staff is amazing and helpful, room is always clean and tidy, towels changed, hot water in every hour of the day, and a 24/7 reception worker to help with everything.

the rooms are very close to each other and are very hollow therefore anyone can hear what’s going on in your room from your hallway and even sometimes from the room next

Personal were extremely friendly and always able and ready to assist you. About location it was very easy to move with the Metro as we had Cardinal Lemoine very close to the hotel. Breakfast was nice and with enough options to get a nice breakfast. Bedroms are always clean. Cozy neighborhood.

Our room was small but nice but the door of the bathroom was broken so we could not close it proper. We stayed at the hotel in winter time which makes an issue since it was difficult to keep a confortable room temperature.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The tourist attractions were just a 40 minute walk away but, if you're not up for the walk, there's also a Metro station just a minute's walk away from the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good value for money. The best thing about the hotel was the receptionist and team, they were really friendly, professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The rooms are small, particularly the bathroom but in the centre of Paris, that's understandable. The hotel could do with a refresh.
