The location is excellent. If you travel by S-train always alight at Anhalter Bahnhof. After 5 minutes walk you have reached the hotel. If you travel by car use the parking facilities of Novotel next door. All the hotels belong to the French Accor Group. This hotel has 7 floors and is located in a quiet area. The checkpoint Charlie at Kochstrasse is within walking distance. Breakfast is available for a reasonable price. You can even book children breakfast for a better price right at the reception desk and not with booking.com

Just bear in mind this is a one star hotel. Therefore do not expect a restaurant on the premises. The number of seats are limited in the breakfast area of the hotel and it is recommended to have breakfast before 8 a.m.

Amazing location, very strategic and close to many tourist attractions. Public transport stop and station are only 2 minutes walk. The room is cleaned every day and the air conditioning works properly. Perfect room layout with 3 beds for a family of 3, such a bargain. Cable TV, with 2 channels in English (better than nothing for a budget hotel).

Since it’s a budget hotel, it offers minimum amenities. You can only find 3-in-1 body and hand soap shampoo in the room. Lifts can be busy at certain times but work properly.

There are three Ibis hotels along Anhalter Strasse. This is the cheap one. I can hardly tell. Good rooms, adequately furnished, working AC, clever shower / sink / toilet separation, working elevators, good breakfast. Enough parking in the basement. S-bahn station Anhalter Strasse very close. Walking distance to the city centre -- 850m from Potsdamer Platz.

Price was high for the class -- I suspect this was dynamic pricing due to sportsball events in Berlin that took place during our stay. Some of the other guests obviously were there for the occasion, and weren't used to travel. This is minor. And not a problem with the hotel as such; I am certain that all hotels upped their rates that week.

The room was small and cosy, good location in Berlin, Kreuzberg and Postdamer platz are places which are full of life and there is always something to do or eat.

In the beginning the room was quite cold, also the windows in the room are situated to a parking lot where people are walking and can see into your room, so you have just one option and that is - to leave the blinds down all the time. This would be okay if there was enough light, I like to have a really well lit up room and there wasn't enough light sources to do that, something like an overhead light is missing.

Good location for the Berlin Marathon week. You are two stops from the marathon start and lots of runners are staying here or at the other hotels on this street. So you will have plenty of ppl to follow the morning of the race. There is a regular Ibis next door if you’re looking for a slight step up. You can rent bikes from the regular ibis too if you’re looking to explore Berlin by bike. But based on location and European friends saying Ibis is a reliable French hotel brand, I booked this hotel for the marathon. It’s exactly a budget hotel, no frills and small room, okay pillows, but you have your own bathroom facilities. Close to the Tiergarten and Checkpoint Charlie so you can get to any tourist tour within 10-30 minutes.

Could use better pillows. The shower and toilet are separate and the sink is in the open. Not bad just an FYI for anyone’s expectations.

The hotel is situated conveniently close to public transport and it is within comfortable walking distance of Potsdamer Platz and Checkpoint Charlie. My grandson and I greatly appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness of our rooms and the daily change of towels, the showers which had plenty of space and were easy to control, the air conditioning which worked perfectly in the very hot weather, and the quietness of our rooms (mine was next to the road but no noise could be heard from outside). We also appreciated the variety and quantity of the breakfasts. We spent three very comfortable nights here and would happily have spent longer if our schedule had allowed. I recommend this hotel without reservation. It is excellent value for money.

Excellent location. Waking distance to some key touristic sites ( checkpoint Charlie, topography of terrors….). Only 5 minutes walk from Anhalter bahnhof ( tube station). Friendly and professional staff. They let us check in early as our room was ready. Breakfast is varied and just enough. Rooms are minimal but perfect for a short visit to Berlin. Some nice restaurants in the area ( we enjoyed Moi sunrise sushi grill ( Asian fusion food) 8 minutes from the hotel).

Not a lot of privacy in the room as there is not proper bathroom door ( however you have a separate toilet). Tip: have your breakfast early to avoid the crowd!

Hotel in a good location, close to U-bahn station, bus stop and many Berlin attractions. A supermarket, conveniance stores and several restaurants are also close by. Good breakfasts, although I think the dining room was quite crowded in the later hours. For a budget hotel a really good choice.

I will always remember the bunk bed. I don't know how many times I hit my head on it. As for the bathroom and washbasin in the room.... I've seen weirder solutions, so somehow it didn't bother me - I was alone in the room. For few people in a room it could be a bit of uncomfortable.

The location is excellent. Everything you need is nearby. The staff were accommodating and friendly. Breakfast isn't rich, but you find bread, ham, cheese, eggs, yogurt, coffee, and others for your "cold" breakfast. It's a typical German breakfast. We had a beautiful view of the park across the street. And I should notice, they are dog-friendly! It's a very, very big advantage!

It was too crowded at the breakfast. Sometimes, you need to wait for a free place to sit. The hotel informed you about "hot" hours so that you may avoid this issue. Please use this advice :) Beware that when you check in at 15:00, you may wait for at least 30 minutes. The biggest problem for me was the pillows, they seemed to be "tired" and worn out. Also, the air conditioner didn't work properly, sometimes it worked with the open window, sometimes it didn't work at all.

I didn’t book breakfast so I can’t comment on that. However the location is excellent and if you don’t want to pay for breakfast in the hotel there is a vending machine in reception as well as a Lidl five minutes away where you can buy bread, pastries, etc. the staff were incredibly friendly, cleaners offered to clean my room after me only being there for one day- but I said no because when I arrived it was spotless! Shower temperature was perfect, they even give you a full bottle of body wash- not the little tiny ones like you get in most hotels! The bed was incredibly comfortable, I even tested out the bunk bed and that was equally as comfortable as the main double bed. The staff allowed me to check in early which was perfect as I was exhausted from travelling. I was pleasantly surprised to see a TV in my room, which was perfect as I was on my own and I don’t like to sit in silence. Free WiFi is also provided. There is a metro station which takes just a few minutes to walk to. Overall it’s incredibly simple and basic but still has everything you need and is comfortable.

I think I might have been slightly more comfortable with a few more pillows. However because the bed itself is very comfortable it wasn’t completely necessary, I think it just depends on your personal preference, it might be advisable to bring a travel pillow.
