Great location. They made sure I had fresh towels everyday.
I was offered an upgrade to my room through booking.com before arriving and accepted the offer and paid for it. The hotel did not provide me the upgrade which I accepted. They told me some excuse about not having people working on the weekend and somehow this is why they did not upgrade my room after they offered to me to upgrade the room. It did not make sense to me. Why bother offering me an upgrade? It just made me disappointed and the response made me not want to bother with the front desk at all. The response from the hotel was less than satisfactory. They made an excuse and did not do anything to resolve the issue. Also, the elevator is not good and is slow. I asked some staff about it and they also appeared to be frustrated with the functionality of the elevator.

Great location, great accommodation for a solo traveller and the price was really good for the time around New Year's - I booked it just 2 days before the stay. Super clean, comfy and big enough bed (I'm almost 2 meters), big enough bathroom, kind and helpful staff, towels, you can always ask for more towels and toilet paper. The staff let me keep my bags at the reception until I was heading towards the airport. The hotel is less than a 2 minutes walk away from public transport (the S-Bahn takes you to Alexanderplatz in less than 5 minutes)

Having read some of the negative reviews, we had concerns as to our stay at the property. We read that it was old, a little unclean, etc. However, we were pleasantly surprised that actually the property is not as old as some reviews make it out to be. The room and toilet were also very clean. Sure, the room is on the basic side (no kettle, free water, toiletries), but those are not essential. There were body soap and shampoo and a hair dryer. Toilet is also very big with lots of space to move around. We liked the portable fan in the room. We also couldn't get enough of the excellent location of the property. For the price we paid during an Euro 2024 weekend, we think we got a great deal. The design of the hotel is also unique - the lobby of the interior is designed like a chapel. Peaceful and calm. The staff members were also polite and efficient. What we appreciated was how secure the luggage storage was - some hotels simply let you walk into the luggage room and take your bags. But how it works here is that the staff member follows you to the room, asks you to point out your luggage, and then the staff member verifies that your tag number matches that on the luggage. Very clever!
The bottles containing the shampoo and body soap kept falling off as they were not properly secured to the wall. The sticky tape clearly was overused.

The location was fantastic, right next to a big station where you can get the S and U bahn and only one stop from the central station. Many famous landmarks were within a short walk - excellent! Considering it was so central, I was amazed how quiet it was. My bedroom window looked out into an internal courtyard and it was SILENT - so it was much easier to sleep. The bathroom looked very new and was nice and clean.

The property is located quite centrally, close to a very busy train/metro junction, but it was nevertheless tremendously quiet in my room, also because my window faced the courtyard. The room was clean, the mattress and the pillow were comfortable, the curtain was thick enough to prevent waking up by sunlight, and the shower was good. In addition, there were several restaurants/cafes in the same street, as well as shops and supermarkets at walking distance.

Close / walking distance (if you like to walk) to the train station HBF and other sites/ areas of interests in Berlin e.g. Brandenburger Gate. The staff were friendly/ accommodating. The breakfast was good too, though could use some variety since mostly the same everyday. The room, room assigned to me anyway, was good for the New Year’s midnight fireworks. You can hear them, but it was not so loud, so you can actually sleep with all the noise from the festivities. Wonderful.
I wish the rooms carpet was different, it felt rough to the feet, and also, if the hotel can provide slippers for the room.

Wonderful location (plenty of nice restaurants and bars nearby, 3 min to train station with a direct train to the airport, all MUST SEEs in Berlin in a walking distance), very friendly staff, clean and spacious room. I find the bed very comfortable, my husband complained about the pillows though.
I was quite surprised that the water is counted as a „mini bar”, priced for 4,5 EUR/bottle. Honestly, I don’t remember any hotel or hostel where I needed to pay for water provided in the room and I am quite a frequent guest. ;)

The location is perfect! Close to the river, to the train station and very easy to walk to several sights of the city! The room was confortable and warm, clean and cozy.
The hotel has a rooftop that nobody tolds us about and it was always closed! What a waste of such a good place. The room could have amenities for coffee and tea. I also feel that is not accceptable to charge 20€ for breakfast per person, they could offer better prices for customers.

I particularly liked friendly staff, spacious room and superb location (a 3 minute walk to Friedrichstraße train station, lots of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity). Note that, the reception is located at the building to the left from martas Hotel Allegra (which is martas Hotel Albrechtshof).
Having a tea/coffee-making facilities and mini-fridge in the room would be nice. If the earlier item can be borrowed at the reception desk, a notice wouldn’t hurt.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel which is in the city center. The room was not only clean but also spacious, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. The staff stood out with their friendliness and helpfulness, always ready to assist with a smile. I highly recommend choosing this hotel for your stay—you won't be disappointed!
I can't think of a single negative aspect—everything exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!
