Large, modern room. Nice bed and bathroom. Old-fashioned, hospitable feel. Reception very helpful. Excellent location walking distance to center of Bonn and the Rhein. The "parking lot" consists of one space, but when I asked, somehow it was free, and it was free. (Don't plan on it, though.)

What looks like a small refrigerator is just a box to put food in. Explanation is that the fridges are unplugged "for the time being" for some unspecified energy and environmental crisis. It won't keep your food cold. Wifi in and out; some issues with lighting.

The room was big enough and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated the big window. Breakfast choice was alright. It was possible to store your suitcase. Location was great, away from the noise but 10 minutes on foot from the center, 5 minutes to the tram.

Hair on bathroom walls when I first used the room. I only received one small towel by accident but I asked and got a big one right away.

At breakfast sausages and cheese were in small plates/ready made portions. It would be better if you could pick the amount you want. Now the portion was too much for one person. The pillows could be renewed.

Good location, only 8 minutes walk from the train station, was easy to get to the hotel at 23:00, streets were not scary Breakfast choice is shallow, but all tasty, especially good tea (not your grocery Lipton) Check-in at 23:00 was super easy - just got a code, got inside, found my room key and all instructions. Reception has already left the hotel, but the instructions were very clear. Thank you!

Very good breakfast, great location, very clean

The curtains did not close well. Difficult to sleep with the outside light. And the lighting in the room was very dim. Hard to work on my laptop after the sunset

As we didn't see anyone at check in it would have been nice to have been acknowledged the next morning.

I was looking for a comfortable, reasonable and well-located place to stay in Bonn while doing onboarding for a new internship, and Hotel Mercedes City totally fit the bill! The location near the city centre is absolutely perfect, within easy walking distance of the tram stop Juridicum and of the main bus station. It's also easy to walk into and around the city centre, and is near the Hofgarten park and the university. I wanted to be able to explore a bit on evenings, and the location was really ideal. In case you want to check out the Arithmeum, it's extremely close to that. One thing I always look for is breakfast included, and for a reasonable fee there was an excellent and hygienically sorted breakfast spread, fresh and available at convenient times. They provided a buffet with a selection of items such as cereal, juice, fruit, yogurt, cheese and cold cuts, as well as offering fresh bread, freshly made eggs and tea or coffee. I was really happy with the breakfast! The room was cosy and comfortable, and the bathroom was nice as well - with good water pressure and hot water. I was also very happy to see that they had hand soap and the shower gel/shampoo in a dispenser, which is much more eco-friendly than individual toiletries. They also had a hairdryer, and they provided me with an iron and mini ironing board on request. The staff was exceptionally helpful, helping me get oriented with the public transport and offering advice on the quickest way to get around. Overall I was really happy with the hotel and would recommend it; it was excellent value at a good price.

Unfortunately, I did have issues with the wifi, as it was working on and off throughout my stay (I think this was partly because I was on the 3rd floor). However, it seems this is an unusual situation as the staff were very responsive about trying to fix it, and they were also quite accommodating in letting me work on my laptop in the breakfast room when necessary. If you have any mobility issues I would recommend requesting a room on or near the ground floor, as there are three floors and no elevator.

The room had curtains that blocked out a lot of the light and was very dark at night, allowing an exceptional night's rest on the king-sized bed. The room was warm, with two heaters, and was very spacious. It was very clean. It was value for money, and reasonably close to the centre of Bonn. It has a competitive price. I could also store my bags at the reception and retrieve them later when I checked out on the last day and visited the city for a few hours.

The breakfast was rather simple, bur the location and the service was excellent. You can use a payed parking lot in close neighbourhood for 10 euro per night.
