This has been my 10th trip to Greece and with no hesitation I can say that the experience my wife and I had in Casa Leone has been the best we've ever had! It's a top quality hotel with elegant, well-equipped rooms, with a great location right by the old Venetian port, and the view from our room's big terrace was simply spectacular by day and by night, which you can see in the photos attached! The staff, especially Olga, are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to support you with any questions. We enjoyed the served breakfasts, too. Highly recommended!

No disadvantages that I can think of. The bathroom is not particularly spacious, but that's because an old, historic building has its limitations.

Everything was great about the property the location in the amazing old part of town. The host was very polite and accommodating. You felt like you’re in a big old house all by yourself. I think other people were staying there, but I never saw them. You didn’t feel like you were in a hotel. You felt more like a guest house. I know it was off-season. That’s probably why I didn’t see many people, but everything was in walking distance from shops to restaurants you couldn’t ask for more. I would highly recommend this place.

Bathroom is a little small, but all of that not much to complain about

Our room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was small but the water pressure is great for such an old property. We definitely would have upgraded to a water-view room if one had been available, but there was a balcony in the common area that we took advantage of when we wanted to. The location is perfect-walking distance to Nea Chora, right on the harbor, close to great restaurants and all our tour meetups. Breakfast was extensive and the dining room lovely. Olga was so sweet and helpful. When we had a tour start before breakfast, she prepared us a breakfast the night before along with sandwiches for the trip.

The WiFi was very slow (streaming and video calling were not possible), but that was perfectly fine for a short stay where neither of us had to work.

The location of this hotel is great. Restaurants and boutiques are a stones throw away. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast each morning was very good. There is no parking as this part of the city is not open to vehicles, but you can park nearby on the street. Room and hotel lobby area was clean and well kept.

The shower in the bathroom is very small. I am a tall person and it was pretty much impossible to reach down to wash my feet. The room was very nice, but unfortunately we had no view as our window was on the side and there was a terrace with people on it, so we pretty much needed to keep the curtains closed most of the time.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Leone very much. The breakfast is lovely, including among other things fresh fruits and fresh orange juice. It will be stored in the fridge of your room on request and include a little lunch pack should you leave for excursions before breakfast-time. Olga at the reception is absolutely wonderful, suggesting interesting mid-way stops for your excursions or whole excursions alltogether, recommending restaurants and simply making you feel at home. After she leaves in the early afternoon, the owner is on site until late in the evening. Difficult matters are best adressed with Olga due to her proficiency in English. The hotel provides beach towels on request. The room is spacious and the view of the harbour is beautiful. The bathroom and the private balcony were quite small but sufficient for us and there is a bigger balcony at your disposal in the lobby.

As the harbour is lined with restaurants, there is some noise in the evening. This did not prevent us from falling asleep, but we were woken up almost every (early) morning by the glass collection services who tour these restaurants.

We loved the location and the size of the room. It was perfect for our family of 4 people. We were in Room #1, with the sofa bed downstairs and a large bed in the loft upstairs.

There was a man who worked there who was very crabby and ill tempered. I am not sure if it was because we had young children (6 yr old and 8 yr old), or if we were American, or what but he was not hospitable to us at all. One night my husband went to enjoy the view from the lobby balcony and the man was irritable and hostile to him. It really made us not want to hang around the hotel much, and made us feel very unwelcome. On the other hand the receptionist was very kind and exceptionally responsive via the booking.com messaging app! She answered all of our questions quickly and politely!

Beautiful period building in the Venetian old town of Chania . Amazing location right in front of the harbour with lovely patio we enjoyed sitting on . The lady who runs the place is lovely so helpful and knowledgeable and called us to help us find nearby parking (no parking or cars allowed in the old town) . Beautiful individual rooms with fabulous decor . Great breakfast.

The only thing that didn’t match the price point was the shower which was absolutely tiny . My husband struggled to fit in and it had poor quality fittings and very hard to get the water mix right . This accommodation is not suitable for people with mobility issues . The man in the property could be a little friendlier.

The property was charming and the service so lovely. We had a room up a set of winding stairs with a lovely outdoor patio with two lounges overlooking the old harbor. We called ahead as we could not drive into the old area where the property is located but the manager met us on our way in to help with the luggage. She was so helpful with directions and suggestions and also cooked a delicious breakfast in the charming lobby area. We loved this property!

Some may find the lack of drive up access difficult, but to us the charm outweighed the inconvenience.

I stayed in this beautiful hotel for my birthday in Chania. I booked a room with a rooftop terrace, and the view from the terrace was spectacular. I had the amazing view of the lighthouse as well as the harbour. Probably one of the best views I could imagine to have from one’s own terrace. The furniture in the room was a bit outdated, but it was meant to be classic . There was a comfy duvet for winter, which was thick enough to keep me warm. Olga, the lady who made us breakfast, was such a great host. She was polite and kind. She asked our preference for breakfast. I loved the freshly squeezed juice and the brewed coffee. The beautiful table settings, and she used beautiful glasses and cups, which she took out from a classic kitchen cupboard. I had a glance of their glassware collections, and I saw the photos of their family, too. The whole stay was memorable. It felt as if I am visiting a friend’s house in overseas that I am not so close to. Highly recommend.

Great character and location. Could look over the old port from the terrace, but really quiet when inside the room. We had room overlooking garden. Nice historical charm. Ton of restaurants to choose from. Back alleys are a delightful place to explore with lots of shops and cafes.

Car parking. Nearest spot found was almost a km away on first night. Get there early to find one closer. Its an ancient city so no parking was considered when city planned😂 . Recommend using taxi.
