- Close to the airport - Clean and spacious bedroom - They arranged shuttle service for us from Guatemala city to Panajachel - Multiple days after check-out, we could also leave our baggage when flying to Flores (Tikal) for a short period

- No warm water in the bedroom (it’s not an unusual thing in Central America, so for us it wasn’t a big thing) - Breakfast was included in the price but we could not use the opportunity due to early morning departure (we got a cup of yoghurt and a bit of additional muesli in a separate ziplock bag though). Despite these minor nuances, we really loved the place and would return gladly anytime.

The accomodation was perfect for our pre-flight overnight stay being only a 5 minute taxi from the airport. The bed was comfortable, room was clean and the shower was warm. We asked if we could have our breakfast to take-away as our flight was at 5am and so this was provided which was brilliant. We’d read on reviews that there wasn’t food options in the area, so made sure we ate before and brought snacks with us. We couldn’t make the use of the free shuttle as that started at 6am, but we had no problem getting to the airport via taxi.

The staff was extremely friendly, and the breakfast was simple and delicious. The proximity from the airport for an overnight stay was wonderful. We used Uber from the airport which was cheap and easy, however the hotel offers a shuttle service during certain hours. The bed was large and comfortable.

We were surprised that the hotel was in a gated area. When we landed late at night and our Uber took us through the gate, we had some hesitation before realizing the hotel was within the community. It may be helpful to note that in the booking or check-in description.

The location was conveniently near the airport, and the shuttle service was so nice. The property was beautiful. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable. Our host spoke very good English, which was so helpful, and she went out of her way to help make sure we had transportation to meet up with our rental car provider. The full breakfast was absolutely delicious. OH ESPANA! was our first hotel in Guatemala, and through the rest of our travels, we found ourselves talking about how wonderful our first hotel was.

I can't think of anything that we didn't like. One room was advertised with a private bathroom, but a second door allowed for access from another bedroom, which we appreciated, since we had also reserved that room. I suppose it would be nice if each room had a private bathroom, but a bathroom adjoining two bedrooms is very nice. We had 4 rooms and 2 adjoining bathrooms, which suited our needs perfectly.

It was nice and quiet, bed was comfortable. Great hot shower. The garden looked beautiful.

My private bathroom was outside of my room, it was fine but unexpected. Would have been nice to have some bar soap to shower, there wasn’t any. Ended up using the hand soap dispenser, knocking it over and spilling it all over the floor while in the shower. I also had to ask for toilet paper while I was already in the bathroom. My window covers were see through and the street light was coming in at night. Not ideal for someone wanting to sleep in after a long flight.

Location is excellant as only a short Uber ride to the apartment. The check in was easy and the lady gave us plenty of information about the shops and restaurants nearby. Room was really big and the bed was super comfortable. The shower was good with plenty of hot water and the wife worked well. The hotel is on a very quiet street and is very peaceful.

The ideal quiet spot to chill out before or after a flight. The owner was really lovely and welcoming. It was all very clean and the garden was beautiful. Breakfast and the airport transportation were the perfect end too!

A staff member told us there were no available restaurants nearby but we ordered take-out instead which was fine. No faults in the hotel itself!

The owner, Magdelena, wasn't there during our stay and the young lady who greeted and looked after us didn't speak English, but we managed with Google translate and she was lovely and very polite and helpful (we ordered a takeaway pizza and she provided plates, cutlery etc). The hotel (more of a B&B) is immaculate, the rooms large and we noticed surprisingly little noise from the airport which is right next door (overnight at least). This was a convenient and well-priced place to stay before our flight home in the morning - breakfast was good, plentiful hot water for showers, the short car ride to the airport was provided free by the hotel and was on time. The hotel is in a secure, gated community and there's not much around in terms of restaurants etc - it's a residential area - but a very good option for an overnight stay close to the airport. Finally, thank you Magdelena for your patience in terms of changes to our booking to reflect changes in our dates/flights - much appreciated.

The hotel could be perhaps more clearly marked outside - both we and our taxi driver had to drive up and down a couple of times before we realised which building it was.

The whole house smelled clean and fresh and the bed was comfy. Magdalena arranged and paid for a pirata (taxi driver known to her), and she even got up at the crack of dawn to give me a packed breakfast of yogurt, granola and fruit to take with me, and saw me off at the door. Nice garden and indoor/outdoor seating areas. I will be back!

No lunch spots in walking distance.

It was great! Very beutiful place! Room was big and clean. Nice shower. Very easy to get to from the airport. Magdalena, the host was amazing and soo helpfully. She really made the the whole experience. Definitely recommend staying here. Loved it!!!

No fan in the room but wasn't to hot . So not really a problem. And restraunts and bars are 10 minute uber away nothing in walking distance.
