Peggie is a very friendly and caring host and her house is in perfect condition and very well maintained. The rooms were very spacious, the bathroom a bit tiny for my body size, but you don't dance there 😉

As it was a rainy evening, the house was just a bit too far away from the restaurants to walk, but Peggie had very kindly offered to give us a ride. We had known about the distance in the first place, so we can't blame anyone other than the weather.

Peggy was so welcoming once I found the place (hers is 7 Slip Park, not 7 Slip Grove like my navigation system sent me to). I have knee issues, she helped me carry my carryon up the steps to where the sleeping rooms are and got me some mint tea and Epsom salts to enjoy my jacuzzi bath. Once I got into bed I discovered she had a blanket warmer on, how wonderful! I slept great and around 8 am was treated to a magnificent, continental breakfast of assorted cereals, breads next to the toaster, various teas or coffee, juice, hard boiled eggs, a plate of three cheeses, ham, smoked salmon, Greek yogurt, museli, fresh fruit (apples, oranges, kiwi, bananas, and blueberries), dried fruits, butter and jam, such a fabulous spread!

Not a thing, just be aware that navigation systems might bring you to an address a few blocks away.

Peggy was an excellent. Didn't see her until the morning for a cooked breakfast which was excellent all 3 days. Fresh juices and freshly made hot pot of tea. She is really friendly and welcoming host. We had a family room, 2 singles and a double all really comfortable with fresh bedding. Area is on a quiet residential street 10 minute walk into town. I would highly recommend staying here for that home from home feel. Friendly dog as well.

Could of done with an extra key as my brother got locked out after a long Saturday night. Managed to get him in finally without disturbing Peggy.

What a fantastic host and lovely breakfast in the morning. It was definitely more than just a regular continental breakfast as she had such a great selection and set up. Loved that we all chatted with other guests in the morning while we ate. The dog and cat were my little best friends and sooooo friendly waiting for me at the door as I arrived. Super safe and quiet area and not far from the town to get a bite to eat!

I opted for the single room and the bed was a little old but it wasn’t horrible. The service and most friendship accommodation made up for that.

Extraordinary nice stay at Peggie and her dog which takes care of all guests. Breakfast more than we could eat. Salmon, Ham, Salami, Eggs, fresh Fruits, Joghurt, Coffee, Kellogs, all what a stomach likes. … Thanks Peggie for this nice experience in your house. Especially the shower which is small but very powerful it was a perfect experience after the cold temperature outside to enjoy the hot shower with nice water pressure.

that we are not able to stay longer due to our travel plan… else nothing all was very nice.

The owner is very friendly and welcoming and goes out of her way to look after her guests - she even offered to pick me up after I arrived on a very dark and rainy evening on a bus from Cork city to Bantry (it seems Peggy is an incredibly busy woman, but has boundless energy and is an example to us all!); the breakfast is fantastic - great choice all round and a cooked breakfast is offered on weekends (menu included); the room and bathroom were comfortable - I particularly liked the jacuzzi; ample teas and coffee etc provided in the room and this adds to the homely atmosphere; a spacious and comfortable front room was made available to guests...

The angle of the TV simply didn't work - no matter how many times I tried altering its position on the wall (above the wardrobe) there was a constant irritating black shadow/glare on the screen; I usually don't require housekeeping (environmental and sustainability reasons), so I was a little irked when things like plastic bags and forks were removed from my room (though they weren't in - or even near - the trash); the breakfast room is certainly not for claustrophobes or introverts and can get crowded and loud (though of course this is expected in a private establishment); shower pressure was weak...

Exceptional B&B with a tremendous attention to detail. Our room was small, but perfectly comfortable, and all we needed was there. The beds were great, and the bed sheets were of excellent quality, like in 4 stars hotels. The bathroom was small, but perfectly functional. The breakfast was out of this world - we felt really spoiled! Peggie finds the time to pay attention to each and every one of her guests and their needs! We'll definitely go back!

Peggie, the owner, was lovely to start with and she had the rooms immaculate. Various options for teas and coffee with a kettle in the room. Al sort of facilities were available in the room , like a hair dryer, shower caps, soaps and gel, towel gawns and even a repair sewing kit were available in the room. The location was great to get to town, and the highlight was breakfast. Peggie had all sort of options available like cereals, yogurts, teas, coffee, fresh fruits, berries and she would cook fresh whatever you wanted from the options, like full Irish breakfast, scrambled eggs with salmon, pancakes and others.

Nothing obvious comes to mind.

A lovely room and spotlessly clean. Neatly located within a 10 min walk from Bantry town centre, just off the Cork road. Peggy, the hostess, is a friendly, knowledgeable local who goes the extra mile and in a humourous and sociable manner. Brilliant food and hardly any wait, with a wide breakfast menu, in typical Irish Mammy style. And the bit of banter thrown in for free😉 The highlight, though, has to be Twinkle 😊
