The hotel is in a central location and the room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was varied and good quality. We used the swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna which were all lovely.

Travelling in a party of two couples we arrived 1/2 hour before check in. Reception kindly advised that one room was ready and gave us the keys. We were advised that although breakfast started at 7.30 they were fully booked with several coach parties so we wouldn't be able to have breakfast until 8.45. We explained this wasn't acceptable as we were touring Ireland and needed to get an early start. The response was there was nothing that could be done, we could take our chances at a time that suited us but would have to queue for a table! A complaint was made to the Duty Manager the next morning and to her credit this was resolved. Customers travelling independently should not be disadvantaged compared to coach parties.

I thought it was all in all a great place to stay. The pool facilities were great to experience. Staff were really accommodating. Any request was never too small… even borrowing a pair of scissors.

I felt like it is probably getting slightly outdated. The room was slightly hot at night but then opening the window meant lots of car traffic noise during the night. I felt like it took forever to get to the lobby from the room, it felt like a maze every time. But all minor in comparison to the location and the overall experience.

Breakfast excellent greatly enhanced by wonderful member of staff, Pauline. Always happy and helpful and hard working. Room well looked after, the flapping flags meant that windows had to be closed at night. Dinner on our celebratory night was superb. Food in bar area also good, again cheerful staff. Pool was a great asset facial treatment was a terrific.

Overall there is a need to upgrade and do some maintanance. eg lockers in pool changing room, scuffs and bumps elsewhere. Sadly and issue with our final bill payment as the voucher given to us by our son had not been taken into account, which has lead to a delay in processing the correct final payment and delaying our departure.

The room was large and comfortable and it was very useful to have a kitchenette with a young child. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed a dinner in the restaurant one night. The hotel is right in the town so there's plenty of other restaurant options. The balcony was unexpected and we enjoyed the views over the bay. The pool was a good size and the hotel was very quiet (the function rooms are separated from the bedrooms). The staff were all lovely.

This is very minor, but it would have been great to have a small table to sit at to eat room service (especially as there was a kitchenette). The room service menu was very small and the surcharge didn't make it worth it. The carpark looks to have fewer spaces than rooms, so parking can be tricky at times.

Our room was not ready when we arrived early, and the staff was delightful and called up to hurry things along. Phil visited with us a bit. He was apologetic about all the renovation work that was going on in the lobby, but we didn't mind. He gave us some great advice on where to walk and have dinner. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The housekeeping ladies were very kind and personable. The location was perfect for us. We walked all over town and enjoyed the bay so much. We walked over to the Super Valu for a few groceries. That was a treat! Breakfast was delish! Best brown bread we had in the 17 days we were in Ireland.

Items were as ordered. Good selection of cooked breakfast items. Everything spotlessly clean.

Accessible bedroom long way from elevator. Lack of choice on menu, OK for a couple of evenings but we stayed for 4 and quite boring then. 3rd evening dinner (29/8) seemed to have staffing issues; husband's drink order taken but not mine; long wait then for food order to be taken; no cruet on table; 2nd drink order for my husband sat on counter for 10 minutes and he had to go for it because waitress ignored signals to return to table.

Buffet breakfast was good and the menu for dinner provided a wide range of options. Staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our one-night stay. The swimming pool was used by one of our party who found it to be very good. An easy stroll to the main part of the town. The underground car-park was free-of-charge but care is needed as the single-lane access ramp is used to both enter and exit the facility, which can be a little awkward at busy times.

The only area which we thought could be improved was the lighting in the reception area and corridors, which was a little too low for our liking, and could be brighter.

The hotel location is great, it's right on the quay front with plenty of parking. The staff were lovely throughout our stay. Our room was quite spacious when we came in, lovely, comfy bed and a nice shower (over bath). We had a balcony with a beautiful view once the rain went. Which was a surprise because we never asked for a room with a view. But most rooms on that wing appear to be all facing the view. The hotel was lovely with nice decor, the breakfast was well laid out with plenty of choice for what we liked. The pool was a real treat with a jacuzzi sauna and steam room, which were meticulously cleaned by the lovely man on shift. Overall I was impressed by this hotel. Yes, it is a little pricey, but for what you get.... a comfy bed, no noise during the night, a nice breakfast, access to the lovely pool, free parking and a nice view it's worth spoiling yourself for. 👍

The lift system can be confusing but manageable.

I have stayed in the Maritime many times in the past 10 years at least and I am amazed that the quality of the building inside stays the same or better (since the dining room was refurbished some time ago). In particular the corridors are always immaculate and because of that the carpets remain remarkably fresh. Likewise the rooms are spotless including the bathroom.

The man on reception was slightly surly when I arrived at night though when I booked out 5 days later, he was very bright and breezy. Go figure! Sometimes the tea and coffee in my room wasn't adequately refreshed but it is a small point. The waiting staff in the restaurant were very good but it did show if you were later down for breakfast as it the buffet sometimes looked a bit sad. It was not made known to us that there was a choice of coffee. I just knew there was a proper coffee machine.
