The continental breakfast was plentiful and good. The location is superb, next to the river and in the centre of Dublin, a few minutes' walk from the Luas (tram) stop. Dormitory rooms are fairly basic but the beds are comfortable, each has a curtain for privacy, a reading light and sockets for phone charging etc. Ear plugs recommended if you're likely to be disturbed by traffic noise or snoring!
The "Reading Room" was locked, so it was difficult to escape from excited teenage noise!

The location was very good and I liked all the wall art around the hostel. The kitchen was very elaborate, the dining area big. I also liked the small garden in between the buildings, which was under a roof.
There was earwax on the wall close to my head while sleeping, that felt unhygienic. I also felt as if I was a bit of a burden to one of the staff members, as if she didn’t like her job as much. The other staff members had very good vibes though! Also, you need an extra plug to charge any device amd the hostel sells those for €8. I asked where else I could buy it and they said: “Probably nowhere”, but later I noticed the SuperValu across the street sells it for around €3 and was still open. I felt a bit lied to.

The location. Superb. Located in basically the heart of Dublin. Everything a traveler/tourist would be interested in, is in walking distance. The room. Provides everything a traveler/tourist needs. The breakfast. Tasty, With enough variety. On a side note, The reason why I chose Abbey Court hostel was because the breakfast was included in the price and there is a kitchen for the guests to use.
The only complaint I have isn't really dedicated to Abbey Court. The prices for hostel accommodation seem to have skyrocketed, across the board. A few years ago, a week in a hostel was more affordable.

Location was extremely convenient for buses and very close to many attractions. Room was spacious and comfortable. Good choice for breakfast including cereal, porridge, cold meats and cheeses. There was a restaurant with availability of a selection of popular foods as well as a bar. Privacy in the shared rooms as there were curtains that separated the beds. Each bed had a light and sockets. Staff were available 24/7 and would be very helpful when required.
The showers the hot water was not always hot, lots of stairs. The kitchen closed at 10.00pm

The hostel is well situated in the city centre and it offers a free continental breakfast for those capable of getting out of their beds between 07.30 and 09.30, the big plus for me was the communal kitchen which was well equipped and clean, eating out in Dublin is an expensive business . My room mates were very considerate and made little noise when returning in the early hours.
I found the bunk bed uncomfortable and the pillow offered no support so I bought my own, the room I stayed in was stuffy and I didn't appreciate the noise from the teenagers in the other rooms and in the hallway.

Staff were super friendly and approachable and met some really great people here. A very social hostel with daily events like walking tours, pub quizzes, and bar crawls. Curtains and lights at every bed and a full length mirror in the room. Breakfast was simple (cereal, toast, some cold meat, and cheese) but free. Great location to explore from and felt safe walking back at night. Also very easy to get the airport bus to and fro.
After a day of rain and people bringing in their wet clothes, the room began to smell really bad as the moisture got trapped. Even with the window open (when not raining) it was impossible to get the damp air and mould smell out. Also, no where to hang wet jackets. Talking to people in other rooms, they seem to have the same experience, a couple saying they slept with a mask on or with perfume sprayed on their pillow. Toilets were not the cleanest.

Very central location Has a lot of chill out zones and bar/restaurant Staff were all really nice Communal areas kept clean and tidy (even when some guests left a mess this was quickly sorted)
Early check out time and breakfast finish time, I get it’s so you pay for late check out but it just seems too early to me. Not enough bathrooms for the amount of people, from what I could tell (I may be wrong) there were only 2 toilets to support my floor. One of which had a shower inside so the person could take 2 minutes or 20 minutes. Bearing in mind there were 12 girls just in my room. It didn’t seem like enough. There were times of waiting for that bathroom which isn’t ideal first thing in the morning. I booked a 10 bedroom and received a 12 bedroom, not a huge inconvenience but I did pay extra for this. I was only staying one night and after going up 2 flights of stairs and eager to get out I just left it. But it didn’t go unnoticed.

Excellent staff. Positive, outgoing, helpful, chatty but not overbearing. Breakfast was a bit lacklustre but as it comes free can't fault it too much. Amazing location. Big Kitchen! But the knives could do with a bit of sharpening. Oddly enough there was a lack of teaspoons too. And more chopping boards would have been nice.
Lack of sofas and places to chill out. Privacy curtains at the beds (could be a bit more curtainey to actually give you full privacy but not bad overall) TV had Netflix (but you had to use your own account) Pool table needs refelting and it's a shame it costs a Euro instead of being grattis! A chair in the dorms to put your shoes on would have been nice. I mean, what are we, a bunch of people who sit on the floor to put our shoes on...

The location is just great, and there are plenty of facilities on-site, so you can cook and use computers with the Internet connection for free. Most of spaces are open 24/7, and there are vending machines, so if you want to hang out in the middle of the night, have a beer and read/surf the web, that's a really great option!
If you're travelling from Europe, Ireland uses the British socket standard, and adaptors are sold on-site for 8 euros. So, if you want to spend this money on something more useful, charge your phone from the USB-port of a local computer or get an adaptor in advance.

Great location by O’Connell bridge. Fantastic breakfast. Good kitchen facilities for making your own food. Several hangout areas is good depending on whether you wanted quiet or interactive. Staff were helpful when I needed to change beds because of someone with sleep apnea in the bunk below me
I’d you have the top bunk it’s awkward, you get a light and power jack which is helpful, but no shelf or space for personal items. The privacy curtain covers the steps to the top and is shared by both bunks which was weird. Showers were cold.
