The facility is great! It is located in proximity to the nature reserve so you just need a quick stroll to get to the different walking paths. The rooms are not fancy but effective and we didn't miss a thing. It is in the middle of a desert so it is very quiet except when the IAF do their maneuvers which is pretty cool. The surrondings are beautiful with the dead sea and the mountains on the Jordanian side on one side and the judean desert right next to you on the other side which creates spectacular sunrises and sundowns. The meals were like the kibbutznik meals I had as a kid when visiting with my grand parents. Salads and schnitzel for dinner and salads and cheese for breakfast. Great!

The service. It just might be the an experience of the israeli service mindedness that I haven't experienced before in my manymany trips to Israel but you had to drag out all information from the staff. The clearest example is the case of dinner tickets: When arriving at the reception I asked about how dinner worked - Do we need to pre-order, which time is it served, how much does it cost etc. So when going to the cantina at dinner time we queue for 5-10min to get a seating and get informed that we need to buy dinner tickets at the RECEPTION so we go to the reception and queue for another 15min to buy the tickets and go back again to the cantina. With two kids that waiting was very long and totally unnecessary and ticked me off.

The Breakfast was very nice, We also took Buffet Lunch, it was very good. The Hostel is secure, nicely located and well maintained. Just note that its a Hostel and not a hotel, thus all the things are basic, nothing exceptional.

The Beach at Ein Gadi is lost to sink Holes and thus non existant. One have to go Ein Bokek (30km away) if you want to swim in the Dead See. Thus location wise this Hostel is not ideal for Beach Holiday.

We unfortunately could not enjoy the breakfast as we were underway again to Masada, but the diner is well equipped as it is frequently used by large groups of schoolchildren. It is situated really close to the Ein Gedi spring which is great.

Due to sinkholes, it was not possible to visit the dead sea in this location anymore. The checkin was a little problematic, as we didn't see a sign to the office, which is hidden behind some other buildings. The man greeting us however was very friendly.

The large rooms have a very good hotel level, everything new and in a very good condition. The Ein Gedi National Park is just next door, no other accomodation is so near! The breakfast buffet was as its best, enormous range of freshly cooked food and fruit. Extremely recommendable for single travellers, families and groups. We had a wonderful room with a large terrace facing the Dead Sea. The staff was helpful, explained where you can still go for a bath (no fee). Highly appreciated: The open air fitness park (calisthenics), the playing ground and other sport facilities on the grounds of the hotel. Have you ever done a sport unit facing the Dead Sea? That is your chance to do it. Or just hang out in the safe and comfortable hotel ground.

The youth hostel is very well located, right by En Gedi national park. It is easily accessible by bus because the bus stop is directly in front of it, which makes it possible to travel to Masada and the Dead Sea beach in Ein Bokek by bus. The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is included and is more or less okay.

The evening meal is not great, costs about 15 euros and is unsuitable for vegetarians: in our opinion it's a rip off. We advise you to go shopping beforehand (there is a small fridge in your room). However, you won't be able to cook because there is no communal kitchen. We opted for hummus and pita.

Great location, Ein Gedi Reserve is just a few minutes walk. We arrived around 11 am, but our room has already been cleaned, so we could check in, which was cool because we had big bags. Room for two (but there are four beds total) with terrace. Hot water and comfy beds. The breakfast is phenomenal; open buffet, there is a lot to choose from.

A lot of flies, but I don't know what can you do to them. After all, it wasn't that disturbing for us.

Room very spacious with a kettle and air conditioning. Balcony was a huge bonus - and great view. Buffet breakfast and dinner were both good.

No shops nearby which can't be helped but makes it hard to have lunch. But it's worth it to be so close to national park etc. Location on booking.com is a bit off so we ended up going up a big hill which was a struggle with bags in the heat.

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The personnel is friendly and helpful. Room rates are the only reasonable ones in this area. And there are almost no flies ouside - unlike in the more expensive main Kibbutz.

Wide distances to the next possibilities of accessing the beach. This is outside the hostel's control but an alarming ecological consequence. Outside seating possibilities would be a good upgrade to the hostel's dining room.

Great place, by the entrence of the national park, amazing view from the rooms balcony, clean and comfortable. No shop around, make sure to buy everything you need upfront. During off season dinner available just some days- it was really good.

A bit costly, but still the best price option in the location
