The ho( s )tel is in a positive way very unique. 1. Very friendly personal with any advice you want. 2. Many events in the hotel roof top ( a very nice roof top to relax ), often with artists of all kind ( music , and others ) 3. Once a day a free guides tour throogh Jerusalem 4. It s very central: You can vist close to the hotel Mahane Yehuda,: at daytime teh largest market of Jerusalem , at night offering many restaurants ( a 5 minute walk ) 5. To Jaffa gate and therefeore to the old city 10 minutes. 6 Tram station every 5 minute depart 7. The price for the time we spend there very low ( 80 EUR ) while the next is 50 % % higher. 8. After teh first night we got an offer to stay an other night with 10 % discount. 9. Very mixed guests frrom young to old, from religious to hippie: extermely interesting !!!! 10 price-performance ratio unbeatable 11. Parking Lot directly near the hotel ( non revable ) 70 Shekel per 24 hours , which is for Jerusalem totall yokay

Abraham hostel certainly did NOT feel like a hostel or a hotel. Though it was crowded, the vibe was more like a family reunion with friendly staff and visitor to visitor interactions were great. As someone who is senior to the normal age group that stay in hostels, I was a bit apprehensive but I was blown away by the friendliness and the atmosphere at this hostel. The private rooms were also very comfy, spacious and comes with amenities like fridge, private bathrooms, shower etc. And it is next door to Ha Davidka tram station and literally has a bus stop on the front door. Breakfast had a great selection of foods, so I would certainly rate it high as there is enough choice for everyone, even for a vegetarian like me. The staff is just excellent. They are a much younger crow (as expected in a hostel) but they make you feel at home. They are friendly, social, helpful and easy going it feels more like talking to friends than just hostel staff. As is expected in a hostel, the space can feel a bit cramped (compared to a big hotel) but then their relative prices for even private rooms are much lower than the other places. They also have an excellent storage facility for luggage if you are going on tours and is also very safe because it can only be unlocked with a key from the staff. The lounge is a terrific place on the first floor because its open all night and if you are traveling out of country late at night, you can hang around here till you are ready to leave. There is also the rooftop where you can sit and relax. All in all, this is definitely a GREAT place to stay whether you are young or old because the place has a great mix of people from all age groups. Add the excellent staff to it and you will have a great place to stay !!

Rest rooms may feel a bit cramped. Its on a busy road so rooms facing the road may be a bit noisy. However, the pros outweigh the cons by a margin of 10:1 so I would recommend this place to anyone.

Everything was amazing! I really like the vibe, the location is near the food market, not far away from the Old Town by walk or you can use the tram which station is next to the hostel. The staff is amazing! Very friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist Anthony Salameh, he helped me a lot with buying public transport card, was translating me the local language, and even showed me the old town as a friendly tour guide, told me where to eat, where to go and where not. Everyone is simply amazing. The food is incredible and very delicious 😊 I'd like to visit it again!

From check in to check out this place was awesome and the staff were amazing. My family of six arrived early in the morning (pretty exhausted from the flight) to drop off our bags, and even though our reservation wasn't starting until that evening they said "hey there's 15 more min on breakfast, go up and grab some before they clean up". And this was the accommodating attitude of all the staff throughout. The breakfast was wonderful each morning. The location is perfect and central with the tram and several key buses all right outside the door. The nightly activities were great too but not disruptive to sleep if you needed to head to bed early. All was great and family friendly

Abraham Hostel is a very friendly place to stay, that's why we chose it again to stay in Jerusalem. It is located nearly halfway from the central train station to the Jaffa Gate and the Old City. The accommodation in the 6-bed room is quite good, breakfast is always included in the price. Additionally, the hostel offers numerous events each day in their bar and rooftop, so you don't have to worry about a good mood. Finally, there is a big luggage room available 24/7, which is great!

The only small drawback of Abraham is that we had to make our beds when we got the room and also used bed sheets and towels you have to return for washing by yourself.

The breakfast was amazing - so much choice of food and excellent coffee! I was pleasantly surprised at how good the coffee was from the machines. As well as Israeli breakfast food there was plenty of bread for toast and cereal and fresh fruit and halva. (This breakfast was only surpassed by Ein Gedi Hostel's breakfast - but that one didn't have good coffee). Staff were really friendly and helpful. The luggage storage felt secure and we made very good use of it as we came and went several times. The hostel had a really nice atmosphere and it was really easy to meet and chat to the other travellers, especially over breakfast. Although I wasn't travelling on my own I would be very happy to stay there as a solitary traveller. People of all ages from young to old stay in this hostel. The roof terrace is great and I also really enjoyed the open mic evening - some amazing musicians! The rooms are also pretty well equipped with shelves and power points next to each bed, lockers, a full length mirror, air conditioning. I stayed in three different female dorms rooms and they are similar although one didn't have a fridge, one had an extra mirror and a table (bonus!) and one had under bed lockers. Another bonus was free cooked food was left in the kitchen/dining room on the two days we got back late and were too tired to go out for food!

I didn't think the shabat meal was worth the 65 shekels I paid for it. The hostel rates vary from day to day. I booked the first two nights in advance and paid £23 per night which is reasonable. I booked back in for another two nights (not consecutive) and the price for the last night was £38 which is far too much for a dorm room - not worth it at this price. I booked a whole apartment for £70 per night for two people in Jerusalem during the same week.

Enjoyed the social activities and the breakfast and coffees were Amazing! Loved seeing the diversity with all ages and countries around the globe. So glad We took the Sunrise Tour to Dead Sea! Love access to the coed showers and bathrooms in hallway. Makes it easier to get ready and not disturb people in shared spaced. Love the daily cleaning of rooms and spaces . Felt Safe. Walkable to Jaffa or Damascus Gate. There is food and nightlife nearby

a little hard to sleep with street noise,..do bring earbuds to block out noise. The hostel looks worn—time to Refresh with paint and flooring. it would be nice to have privacy curtains on bunk beds.

Amazing hostel, amazing people, and amazing facilities. Getting to the old city was really easy (20-30 minute walk, depending on where you're going). The dining room was great, there are water coolers available everywhere. The staff was amazing. They let me store my luggage when I arrived and before I left. They also gave me another towel when mine disappeared. Would definitely recommend to anyone. The people I stayed with were also very nice.

On my first day, there was a bit if loud music, but it was fine, really. At night it was always calm.

We had an amazing stay in Abraham Jerusalem. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and they really helped us feel at home. The location is great- easy walking distance to the market and lots of bars and restaurants and also near to the tram which is great for the station and the old town. The bar/lounge area was great for meeting people and relaxing after a busy day of sightseeing. It had been a few years since either of us had stayed in a hostel but we were so glad we did and it really meant we got the best out of our time there

Abraham is perfect for the price you're paying, the rooms are very basic but they're comfortable and clean. The common areas were very nice and perfect for solo travelers who want to meet new people. Love the different activities there each day. The kitchen has everything you need and there's also free water and coffee or tea. The breakfast was amazing! Many sweet and savory options, also vegan. From the hostel you can reach the old city in a 15 min walk, the neighborhood is safe and there are many shops and places to eat. Staff was really kind and helpful. The hostel could use some renovations but for the price is perfect and everything you need for a wonderful stay in Jerusalem
