The hotel is in a great location and was decked out for the holidays which was a festive perk.

I hate "facility fees" for things like wifi (come on! it's 2022 - it should be free).

Had clean showers and a place to eat without having to walk outside to look for a location to eat. The lobby was very nice and spacious. Loved the fire place.

Checking in took to long. Asked for an earlier check in, was told it would be no problem. Tried to check in at 2 and was told check in at 3. When I finally checked in was given the keys and never was told what floor my room was in. Also never was informed of what was offered as complementary as far as food, drink, parking or wifi password.

The service from all staff was very impressive, they were very helpful and very friendly. Every time we arrived or left they would open the door for us automatically and there was always a lift waiting with the door open. The room was a great size & well designed and well stocked. The location was great, a short 10min walk from Union Square and there were loads of options around for dining, shopping and sight seeing.

The only negative for the whole stay was when I decided to have breakfast one morning at the on-site restaurant and the quality of the breakfast was not great at all unfortunately and it also was not good value for money, I paid over $45 for bacon and eggs with a coffee. We only dined once at that on-site restaurant and it was for breakfast so I can’t comment on their lunch or dinner service.

Location, Location, Location 👍 Could not have chosen a better Union Square hotel for our last night in San Francisco. This hotel exudes class everywhere and it’s circa 1910 Marble Starcase and Open Fireplaces are a sight to behold. We splurged and stayed in a Suite which was worth every penny. Being allowed to purchase NZ Oyster Bay Sauv Blanc, from a liquor shop directly across the road, to then enjoy in the library in front of an open fire surrounded by opulence was an extra highlight. 10am check in and 5pm check out next day, albeit with a small extra payment, effectively gave us two full days to explore all the surroundings. In closing all the staff were outstanding. We would definitely stay again.

everything was perfect

The design and feel of the place. It’s been really nicely renovated and is very well presented. Also, most of the team were super friendly and nothing seemed to be too hard.

There was a leak on level 5 where he carpet outside the ice/water room was saturated and it took us reporting it twice before someone attended to it. Also, a couple of the team members seemed to not care about the role and didn’t care to give good service.

The location was great. Very close to many amenities and close to the Cable Cars and Bart System as well. The hotel is very charming and quaint. I loved the large open sitting areas in the lobby and the library the and coffee bar each morning. The decor is very nice and has a sort a European feel to it. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Our TV was not working and it took two and a half days to remedy the situation. After asking the front desk to please look at it first thing in the morning, and returning at 10:30 pm the same day only to discover that it had not been fixed. They sent someone up to look at the tv at 10:30 pm then they left. We got a call at 11:00 pm asking if we wanted to change rooms. No thank you, not at 11:00 pm and when we only had one more night there. Not a major thing but definitely a small inconvenience. Also while the staff at the main check in are very pleasant, they were unable to assist us with many tourist questions and plans. Some information for visitors would be a welcome addition to a guests experience at the Marker.

Our view in our first room was a ventation shaft, however upgraded to a grander flat with a view thanks to reception staff. Also nearby areas had some homeless people.

The hotel is located at an excellent location. The staff was super helpful. Highly recommended for the family stay. The fireplace at the ground reception area was a great highlight. If I have to suggest an improvement, then I will request the hotel to put water dispenser at each floor.

Large hotel with relaxing public spaces and a nice restaurant.

Water was cold in the shower (never heated up). I’ve stayed here a few times before and never had this issue. I mentioned it to the front desk upon leaving and they’ve promised to look into it (and they’re a great team so I have no doubt they will do so).
